  1. Come on, guys, post more, this thread barely has 9,000 posts! The Chip Kelly thread over on Gator Country has over 15,000 posts, and it's only 11 days old!
  2. Some coaches think it's a good idea to get the backups some snaps to build depth. I wonder if we'll have one of those someday...
  3. More like when Riley was first hired.
  4. Bear in mind that three years ago, Bummerbry was the guy (AFAIK the first) who broke the 'news' that Tressel was coming. He might have some connections, but...
  5. Just looking up some numbers... Sam Keller, 2007: 9 games, 63.1%, 14 TD, 10 INT (1 per 32.5 ATT), 133.74 efficiency Tommy Armstrong, 2014 (Pelini): 13 games, 53.3%, 22 TD, 12 INT (1 per 28.75 ATT), 133.04 eff, 705 yds rushing Tommy Armstrong, 2016 (Riley): 11 games, 51.4%, 14 TD, 8 INT (1 per 36.75 ATT), 123.92 eff, 512 yds rushing Tanner Lee, 2017: 10 games, 57.2%, 18 TD, 13 INT (1 per 26.6 ATT), 128.5 eff So yeah, in case anybody didn't notice, Lee throws a ton of picks, and his QB rating is no better than Armstrong's. Factoring in the rushing production, yeah, I'd take Tommy.
  6. I visited the UCF board weeks ago, and yeah, that Mikesi guy is seriously obsessed bashing Nebraska. Doing a search brings up 199 posts by him mentioning Nebraska in the last month, and I'm sure there's plenty more that didn't happen to include the word 'Nebraska'.
  7. I mean, when we've got 'news' articles referencing interviews from a week ago, what's a tweet from two days ago?
  8. ^ I feel like that guard rail should probably start a little sooner....
  9. I'd be fine with Riley announcing his 'retirement' next Monday, before his last game. Wouldn't surprise me if buyout negotiations are already going on behind the scenes.
  10. Who would you even suggest as an interim coach? The coordinators both seem like they'd be downgrades (somehow). Promoting a position coach (Parrella) seems like it would probably just worsen in-fighting among the staff.
  11. I think Moos probably would have preferred to keep it classy and open and wait until the end of the regular season to make any serious moves, but Florida firing their coach mid-season and making a move on Frost forced his hand.
  12. Yeah, I've been thinking something like the K-State game of Callahan's last season.
  13. On the list of Jimmies that ooze integrity, he's second only to Jimmy Hart.
  14. As long as he doesn't say "Mike Riley deserves to return for the 2018 season," I really don't care at this point.

Basically. It might not have changed the big picture a whole lot, but it might have at least spared us the humiliation of losing to NIU, which was pretty much the beginning of the end for all of this, right? Hard to say exactly how it might have went from there. In the long run, though, we might be better off this way - better to rip that band-aid off early, so we could get rid of Eichorst sooner.
  16. ^ New head coach probably won't be announced on Black Friday, though.
  17. You might also have to re-cut & paste it after you take the m. out, btw.
  18. Just take the 'm.' part out, like this. For whatever reason, this board doesn't recognize mobile links. Same with Twitter links. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=StIcRH_e6zQ It's the mobile part of the link that it doesn't recognize, not the https.

Yeah, no. Not what I said at all.
