Bo hands down. No one with his size, speed, or athletic ability has ever played the game before or since! Anyone remember him breaking a bat over his knee after a strike out? ^Not sure I've heard there is an alotted amount of minutes they can be on the field. And have heard by others it's like 5% of a games snaps or something to that effect. Would like to get some clarity on that if anyone knows what the rule is.

They could have definitely used a game to get their passing game down. Who knows maybe they will use that time to invent some viscous new passing plays. Doubt it will help them much, coming to Lincoln has to be rough. Coming Three weeks into the season with no games under their belt won't be pretty!

Wasn't the conclusion reached last week, that all our early games will be important? Now we have one game under our belts and we're talking about bettin the snot out of these "creampuffs"! We still have to find a ground game and correct the HUGE passing lanes we where showing on Sat. before we start spouting off about these patsies we will play in the coming weeks. And I'm still waiting with my bandwagon for all you who want to jump on before the VT game! ALL ABOOOAAAAARD!!!

I bought the game this week, and am in a similiar situation. Not going to buy both. Personally I will wait for the NMST game. I think they are a much better team than SJ. They only put up 13 points on UC Davis! Didn't even know they had a football team! NMST bring a much higher powered offense, and a pretty good QB. Should be a better overall test, and a better gauge of our secondaries progress. I'll be waiting for NMST.

I think this game gave us a good indication of who they feel will contribute in the future. No point burning a red shirt just to see if a guy is game ready. I doubt a lot of the young linebackers can really have an impact large enough to justify them being played. Do agree we should have seen another QB at the end, not sure what the thinking on that was other than our inability to run consistently.

Another cheap set is an Insignia. They are a newer brand that sells at Best Buy. Have a 37" myself I got with my PS3 last year. (can't watch Blu Ray on standard def!) Your best bet is to see what you like in your price range, and don't get caught up in all the 720 vs. 1080 hoopla. Their is'nt that big of a diffrence. If you can't afford a Sony Bravia, or Sharp Aquis. (The two best in my opinion) Then just find the best looking in your price range. And always buy the warranty!!!!

Speaking of "Paint it Black". Anyone remember that old series "Tour of Duty", was super young when that show was on. Remember they used that song during the opening credits. Can't belive my mom used to let me watch that stuff. LOVE YOU MOM!!!!

My feed sucked. It was FSN who had trouble. After they where forced to take a t.v. time out I think they switched feeds. A Fox logo came on the top after that. I'd complain if I thought it would do any good. Was intresting to hear the announcer praising Welsch for getting that high snap down when they where supposed to be on commercial. Just glad no one pulled a Bill O'Rielly, not knowing they where on air!

Have a good friend at work who is an LSU fan. He's always good for some gridiron gab. Seems all the tiger fans I meet are pretty respectable and know there college ball. He on the other hans destains the bulldogs and would like to see them get a whoopin layed on them. Good luck in that one, glad to have you on board.

A lot of the Illini points came late, when they where behind and throwing whatever they could find at them. Mizzou controled this game start to finish. For a first game they where rusty, but how you think they will look come Oct? We have our work cut out for us on D. and better get uor a$$@s in gear if we're gonna beat this team.

All and all, I rate it an A-. Got alot of good things done, but far too many holes under or zone coverage. An opponent like MIZZ would have tore us to shreds. Asante wasn't great in the early part of the game, seemed to settle down late. A few missed turnovers on D, that may be a point of emphasis, along with all the blown assignments. Far to many dropped balls, especially by the backs late. (come on Q!) Far more shotgun than I expected. Holt looked quite good once he settled in. Took hits and kept his hands on the ball, very nice. Still alot to work on, but the effort was there, and that's step one!

Every thing I hoped for and then some! Anyone else see him grab one guy by the ear holes of his helmet and drag him out of bounds? Pure tenacity, gotta love it!
