Suppose to be 56 on Friday and 50 on Saturday so the weather should be nice. I really like our chances with him as I said before if we can get him here for a visit we have a really good shot at landing him. The other issue is if he will be able to get his classes done.

Yeah sounds like Tech is still in the lead but he sounds like he is going to really think it over. If we can get him here for a visit I think we can land him. Since Suh and him know each other he might feel more comfortable here.

Well I would say from that school yes but there Coach just stepped down and is taking a break from coaching so he will not be there anymore.

Kids often change highschools in CALLY just to be at a better highschool football program. Its not like here in Omaha where you go to the school that is closest to you unless you get introuble. I wouldnt look to far into that about his commitment. I would have to agree with Big Willie that his motion is lacking even his coach says he dips his arm when throwing. That might work in Highschool with smaller linemen but in college that will hurt you alot with being only 6 foot you will really have to see the passing lanes. I would have to say you will see him on defense or if he has good hands you might see him move to reciever like a Myer from KU.

You can always find tickets just depends on how much you want to pay. I would check Craigslist for Virginia and I bet you will find some but not until closer to the game, or Ticket Express always has tickets you can buy they are not to bad on price but more then face value.

I care but I'm a college professor. I understand if others don't. I don't expect every athlete to graduate but I think the lowering of standards for stud athletes is a low intergrity move. I also think it is exploitive- to bring in students you know aren't going to go pro or graduate but use them to sell tickets, merch, etc. What happens when their eligibility expires? They are discarded. I didnt have the greatest grades in Highschool but I got a full ride to play baseball at a smaller college. I had to work at the college level nothing is given to these kids but the chance ,you have to that and make the most of it. You can not fault the school for taking people that will have to work harder then someone else in school. I really never had a chance at going Pro but I did get a FREE education out of it and I do not fee I was Exploited in any way. If you can not graduate in 4 years and need a 5th then I guess you suck it up and pay for it your self. I would take one year of student loans rather then 4 or 5 years of them.

Cant blame Lucky for Nebraska's O-line play the first half of the year no one ran good. Then once the O-line started to gel Lucky got hurt and I don't think he ever really recovered from his injury. I wish him the best of luck it only helps Nebraska to have people get drafted.

Lucky has been offered to visit the NFL combine he was on 1620 yesterday and talked about getting a late offer.

So I was listening to 1620 today and some guy from Scout/ESPN that was talking about some of our recruits today and I couldnt believe what was coming out of his mouth. He said that he is not sure about Cody Greens throwing ability and that he can see him more as a wing back or reciever type player at the college level. He also said that Rex will not play running back for us he will be a safety. If that is the case why in the hell wouldnt we have gone after a different back. I really think this guy Tom something doesn't knows as much as my 3 year old and all he does is run around and stiff arm his older sister and when she falls down he yells GO BIG RED in her face.

Just an objective question: When you say Rex is less talented than others, and that certainly could be possible, what are you basing it on? Videos? Games you have personally been to? Looking at the video of Burkhead, and I realize it doesn't tell you everything, I don't see how you can be much more athletic than that. It at least seems like he has more moves than Giles. But, of course, this shows him at his best only. Just a personal opinon from watching videos with the a combination of what Rivals,scouts and other sites say about him. I'm by no mean disapointed in him and his play I think he is a great pick up ,with the coaching that is in place I see a bright future for Rex. The one thing I see Rex has over the other backs is detrmination from watching the other back that N was looking at they show signs of flash but not the Drive that you see from Rex.

I agree the future recruiting just by getting this guy here is going to be a big help with Texas kids same with Williams. The more texas kids we have on the team the better the pipline will be. There where other backs that I saw that looked more talented then this kid but from what has been said about his work ethics and Beck teaching him he should turn out to one hell of a back for us. I think more then anything that this staff can coach and mold the kids into better players then they ever thought they could be if they are willing to work hard stay out of trouble you will see some great football over the next couple of years.

I really hope that is a good sign for us.

was just looking at that I really think that if Giles or Burkhead come we will be in the in the 25th or 28th range by the end of the season. If you dont count last year since it wasnt a full season of recruiting that is pretty good for a first year head coach.

He has see what a good coach can do for him, he will stick around an other year to learn and improve. Besides Ducky's Mom told him he has to graduate.

Not once did they mention and NCAA violation and if it was they would have filed an appeal already to make sure it didn't effect them in any way for a bowl game or scholarships. He was suspended for team rules violation. Lets take a step back and think about this I'm sure that Cody feels bad enough about it with out a bunch of stupid rumors about it. Everyone wants to know what happened along with me its in our nature it will come out at some point in time because one of 2 things will happen either he will be let back on the field and they will have to let us know or the NFL teams will want to know before they take a chance on him. So in the mean time stop speculating because it is not fair to Cody. Just support your team and Bo I'm sure it was a hard choice for him to suspend one of best LB's we have this year a position which we are already short handed at.
