Martinez wearing gloves during the game is interesting. Is this in response to the frequent fumbling? Colder weather of the B1G? Or is it an effort to improve the passing? I believed that he threw the ball quite well against Minnesota. His receivers flat dropped good passes on a couple of occasions and he seemed to be throwing the ball in front of people as opposed to behind them.

The Loonie Formation lacks a bit of toughness...

Good for TMart.! Hopefully, this will springboard him to consistently be the QB that we saw last weekend and that he will continue to progress.

I lived in the Twin Cities for 4 years (00-04') and hated being in "Big 10 Hell" as they'd never show Nebraska games on T.V. Now we're in the B1G and the Huskers are headed to the Twin Cities after I'm long gone... My timing sucks.

This team should enjoy the victory but still realize that we have MAJOR issues to FIX!!! IOW, we shouldn't have been 21 down in order to need the comeback... Hopefully Pelini(s) get this moving in the right direction with some emotional momentum on his/their side. Bad luck (Miller injury) doesn't make us a better defense, just a lucky one. OTOH, we finally found a QB who made our defense look good! (OK, not really a bright side.)

We didn't so much win this game as they just lost it. If Miller doesn't get hurt, we're not so happy right now. We've got defensive issues... The Golden Vermin shouldn't be much of a problem but hopefully Bo will be in full "teacher" mode to get this defense up to the 'Pelini Standard'. I'm happy to have the W, but this team shouldn't have had to come back from 21 down in the first place...

I dare say that this is the first time we've seen TMart show up against a solid defense. It's either been god-like performances against very weak competititon, or rather anemic performances against real defenses. THIS is the first time he's shown something to be truly proud of against a real defense. CONGRATULATIONS to TMart. He earned some respect tonight. However, you're only as good as your next game...

Miller's ankle injury was the biggest factor, and not a way you want to win... Great comeback and a nice display of "heart" by the Huskers! This doesn't erase the fact that the defense was awful vs. tOSU with B. Miller. We didn't so much win this game vs. tOSU, rather they lost the key to their team. Nonetheless, it feels great to be on the W side of this one, especially headed into a bye week.

Somebody get that man a proper game schedule so we don't have to endure the first 2 1/2 quarters next game...

It all comes down to how we perform on this defensive series. Kudos to the Huskers for showing a little spine in this game. Now we need more...

Second string on both sides of the ball... Nothing to lose at this point. We are not a good football team. I'll still watch, and still root for the Big Red, but my expectations are dramatically lower now.
