i would just like to point out that willie is not right as often as you would think. he speaks like horoscopes and picks out one thing thats obviously going to happen so that he looks right. p.s. ill tell you that i know whats going to happen (cuz i do) but then ill get that stupid old stale salt water aquarium guy crap so ill keep it to myself. thats why most of the people with actual inside info have stopped posting it on this board, some of you guys ridicule them with stupid crap even when someone is right...just sayin. ya i hear ya, i have no connections as of yet, i do have a cousin walking on so maybe i will have some inside info someday, probably not. I hate when people give you guys crap and ask for a link. If you dont believe someone then dont believe them, unless they have been proven to be wrong ALOT or ALL THE TIME then give them the benefit of the doubt. Maybe im too trustworthy but its quite obvious who is right the majority of the time around here, and it really pisses me off when guys follow up their good info with a bunch of BS. Sure eveyones going to be wrong every once in ahwile because things are always changing. If you want your info from a source then read the paper in the morning and find out a few days later. If you want to find out a couple days earlier then stop efiing with the guys who know whats up. +1 from me Husker Fowler. And what's funny is that if the information you post turns out to be true, nobody really gives you your props nor apologizes for being a d!ck. The half-dozen rumors of Martinez leaving the team, all reported by people with "a source," turned out not to be true. I suppose the people who didn't believe those rumors were also dicks? It's possible to not believe a rumor and not be a tool about it. A lot of people on this board don't understand that. They seem genuinely angry when someone posts information that is not confirmed. Or people go on an on with really lame jokes mocking the original poster. Doesn't make sense to me. But whatever, maybe it makes those people feel better about themselves.

It is really hard to divide the conference based on competitive balance when things change so quickly. When the Big 12 was first formed, the North was definitely the power division. Nebraska, Colorado, and Kansas State were playing very solid football. Texas and OU were both down, with no program in the south being a consistent force.

I have been a Watson supporter ever since the Joe Ganz (man do we miss him!) era. I really thought that by now we would have a decent offense in place that would be similar to what we saw glimpses of in the Callahan years. My days of being a Watson supporter have officially ended as of last night, and I feel like a sucker for having been a supporter of him for that long. Two seasons have gone to waste because our offense lacks consistency. Last night was an all around piss-poor effort from everybody, Pelini included. It will be interesting to see what changes this off season has in store.

I guess when you screw over the Husker fans hard enough, we stop wanting to take it. I'm still not excited for the game. I live 5-6 hours away from San Diego and still haven't decided if I'm going to the game or not.

Would you rather have it named the "Sears Big 10 Freshmen of the Year" or the "Tampax Big 10 Coach of the Year" or how about "Kraft fight hunger and stop the spread of whooping cough Quarterback of the Year"? (I think I gave Dan Beebe some ideas there.) The names are just fine as they are. And perhaps the reason there are no mention of anything Huskers is because we have been a member of the conference for....hmmm. let's see.....ZERO days! EDIT: Correction, we got a few Husker mentions. Needless to say, we can't be bitching about every little snub we get. The grass is definitely greener.

The Cotton Bowl has always had the 2nd selection after the BCS bowls for the Big 12...and I think if memory serves me correctly, the only North team to get the selection was Nebraska back in 2006. They've always had a strong relationship with the South...especially the Texas teams.

Much like we're seeing now. I don't enjoy it, but I laugh at the d-bags who write this stuff and then laugh at the ig'nants who are dumb enough to eat it all up (see Missouri).

Zero chance the Hogs return to the SWC (+ OU). If the chances are 0 that Arkansas joins the Big 12, then the chances of Notre Dame joining would somehow be in the negative range.

I think there's a lot of jealousy from the schools stuck in the Big 12 over the fact that Nebraska and Colorado are leaving for more legitimate and financially secure conferences. It's easier to point the finger at Nebraska rather than Colorado though, even though Colorado pushed the first domino over so to speak. Win or lose, just remember that greener pastures lie ahead for us, and the same can't be said about Missery, Oklahoma or even Texass.

Don't be surprised if we do win the trophy when Dan Beebe will get his top assistant, , to give the trophy presentation.

Yeah, that's it Iowa is going to be a slightly classier version of Colorado, which is probably why they are scheduled when they are. No they won't, their fans are d-bags and their behavior is ridiculous. I've never met a more egotistical fanbase that runs their mouths for no reason. They've never done anything relevant and yet they think they are the greatest thing since sliced bread. I hate Iowa with a passion and enjoy watching them lose. I did say *slightly* classier! Speaking of. Assuming we have Musberger and Herbstreit calling our game, drink every time Musberger says "Herbie." And I could not be happier about the potential ending to this season... How about everytime he says something stupid like a "hoosier is down" when OU and OSU are playing, or everytime he calls a TD/first down when the guy is tackled 5 yards short, or an incomplete pass that is completed/picked off. We should demand Keith Jackson come out of retirement to broadcast this game.

Beat Oklahoma in Arrowhead, beat Oklahoma in the state of Texas....does it really matter? There shouldn't be any crowd advantage of one over the other. I'm thrilled that the Big 12 good prevailed over evil and we have this matchup.

Anything that has BCS attached to its name cannot be considered "wonderful". And Husker Runner is exactly right, the wording can be challenged, but I doubt anything will be done. In the Big XII, things seem to be, "Do what we mean, not what we say."

They've won 10 in a row and went undefeated in conference in play. Granted they started 0-2, but often early losses have less impact in the voters mind than losses later in the season.
