I think we are "lucky" he stuck around this year when he did not have to. He is a solid back/receiver who will get along well in the pros. How can you call any player a bust if he works hard, starts games, and stays out of trouble in college. Not easy things to do!!!
Yeah, it would kind of be like a husband and wife getting a divorce, and the wife and her new husband hire the ex to provide their lawn service.
Made me laugh!
Giving out the Blackshirts should be motivation enough to overcome whatever distraction the Glen suspension had. I think we win by 4 TD's and the score should be somewhere around 52 - 24. GBR
Hopefully, he did not do something that will haunt him after football. There are so many things that could get him off the team, but with the "indefinitely" tacked on, maybe Bo is waiting to hear more of the facts before he takes any further action.
It would be nice to see the huskers ranked after the end of the season. Maybe it would help some of the potential recruits choose us since they would see the program moving in the right direction.
I look for this game to be a good offensive show for the huskers. If the defense plays like they have been playing I see this as a 49-24 game and the huskers can look forward to getting ready for the dreaded Buffs.
GBR!!!
I like his intensity but he also needs to show more positive reactions. He is the focal point for our program and he needs to act like he is in control. His temper may be an issue with potential recruits and it would be sad to lose a recruit just because the coach can't control his outburst.
Bo agrees he needs to tone it down so I think he is on the right track and TO will help him get it under control.
It is easier for him to learn how to control his emotions that to teach him how to show emotion - think Callahan.
I am grateful that as a Husker fan I have the experience of the past that reminds me what a great team they have been and with that knowledge I can wait for the rebuilding to be done because the wait is worth the reward.
It would be much harder to be a committed fan of a team that has not made it to the top and has not been considered a national power that people take the time to hate. Just like life, teams have their ups and downs and what the team - and fans - do during the down stage tells a lot about the program.
Call me a Husker for life...
