  1. The two-toned turf has only been around a few years. But I really like it. a few? or like almost 10? i didnt care for it at first, but i love it now. it says, hey, we got fake turf and were not gonna hide it, and we might as well have some reserved fun with it. im seriously asking here. i think it has been longer than a few years tho.
  2. china buffet FTW!!!... and charmin stock prices shoud be going up...

    1. GSG

      GSG

Lol. I heard a commercial for "Taco Tuesday" the other day. All I could think about was "Diarrhea Wednesday"

  3. since this thread has gone up ive been off and on surfing for a system. really wish i knew what happened to mine. it was in a rubbermaid tub with a crap ton of games and a sega genesis at my pops house when i went off to the air force 10 years ago, and it still worked. pops conveniently cannot locate it now. funny how he fits a boat and two cars in his garage now tho... ive tried some of the online emulators, but its just not the same as having that paddle in your hand.
  4. you should see his handoff video. bet you could walk on campus and find ten guys no problem that could re-create the same throws. start with the beer pong champs, pool sharks, and polish horseshoe kings. i made beer money in high school beating guys on the basketball team in horse with me using a football. and im a midget.
  5. how did he even get to start a topic? seriously, handshake protocol must be enforced at all times, unless whats the point of having it??
  6. osu removed him from the team, after he had played for the pokes, fearing that they may have to forfeit any games he participated in heading into regionals, which never came to pass. oliver and his family then sued both the NCAA and OSU, forcing their hand. The Ehlers have fully cooperated from the get go with the NCAA. That goes a long ways, and is completely different than Olivers situation.
  7. wow. completely different cases. logan is back working out with the team btw.
  8. hrm...to the OP, are we talking about the 'afterlife' here or the actual physical act of dying?
  9. im terrified of death. ive never had the luxury of witnessing a pleasant one, if there is such a thing. does that mean it affects my everyday life? does the fear of heights constantly disable those who suffer from it? faced with a life or death situation, i bet your tune would change.
  10. much ado about nothing. no reason to get pissy about it either way. its public records law. the university, and the football program, fall under it. if a job becomes officially open that is going to be filled, it must be posted in the public domain. the end. whether they look at the applications that get sent to the job posting web address is another thing (id bet dollars to donuts they dont see the light of the football complex offices) but still immaterial.
  11. 2 things i get from your post if everyone in nebraska loves him, he'll stay. he fits our loyalty brand. this coaching ordeal could turn into being a boon. i think a lot of people are jumping the gun. pelini protects those that are his, even if he is sending them out the door. and in the end, it doesnt matter what the 'people' think about his coaching style/hires. ask nick saban. i think the biggest thing is this needs to play out a bit more. the tide in the media is already picking up on this.
  12. how long until we see a proliferation of Nexus' idea? copyright it Nex, and sue sue sue!!! you can be the next rivals!
  13. say a recruits parents are active ACLU supporters. or Arab. what ron brown supports is really of no concern to me. how he goes about it, however, is. whether or not it is unconstitutional is of little effect. its not unconstitutional to be an atheist. or an arab. in the end, he gets paid to be a football coach. do engineering students pick their college based on their professors religious beliefs?
  14. i know youre reading this thinking i have the answer but i remember seeing something regarding this once that had several different answers. apparently there are different charts and whatnot... maybe you could request it from the university somehow? i think it would be a matter of finding the right person/department to ask, but i think they would be helpful.
  15. an intern could be the next nick saban, but until someone gives them a chance and bumps the old, ineffective, fart off in front of them off, you'd never know it. i dont care who you are, you cant just go grab an all star list of people that have made a name for themselves for long term success. you have to find talent. give Bo a chance here. Hes done pretty damn good on the defensive side, where he got to pick, and I'd bet my ass that you didnt know more than a couple names on his defensive staff when he first got here. He never got to pick his offensive staff. Dont knock his choices until: 1: he actually names them 2: they actually do some coaching
  16. probably not. but im beginning to wonder if Bo's hospitality mat isnt having watson's mud wiped on it. Say Bo started down this path, of helping out his assistant to find a new job without the fanfare and publicity knock of being fired. He's on that path. If Watson's inability to find a job or unwillingness to take something that he considers below him has extended this process, I admire Bo by sticking to his path. And Watson can go hug a... Of course this is all hypothetical.
  17. The article is basicially saying what ive been saying all along and why ive had Bos back. It was a generalized statement not necessarily pertaining to guys posting in this thread having to eat crow, more towards all the other Bo sucks threads. He may not handle the media as some want him to but i love it, and its funny watching people cry about it when its not really that big of a deal. And all along he is doing it to help out his fellow coaches, and taking alot of heat for it in the process. Making himself look bad so Watson and Co. can save face. understood, and agreed.
  18. like reading popular mechanics magazine? like history? like crazy inventions that make you wonder why...not??? Modern Mechanix Blog --"Yesterday's Tomorrow Today" i can spend hours at this site.
  19. that doesnt mean i dont think he'll land somewhere, because he will. I dont think he is an 'evil' guy. I dont doubt that Bo and Co are trying to help him in any way. The timeline that this is getting dragged out proves that they are. Theyre serving him up on a golden platter. but i think some have awful lofty expectations of both what he is capable of, and what others (GM's, head coaches) think of him.
  20. and now he is a head coach at a Division 1 school. Shawn Watson has a losing record as a head coach. Colorado was OVERJOYED at seeing him leave. He was a key cog in the most toxic staff to ever set foot in the Osborne Athletic Complex. And in the rebuilding effort, his charges have been found consistently wanting. I hope Bo has significant pull, because coaches, especially new, young, fresh guys, are a dime a dozen. And Shawn Watson has plague written all over him. Its not taking this long just because contractual agreements are being worked out.
