  1. I have heard and read on message boards many crazy K-St fans actually say they would be picked up by the SEC. And I quote, "They would be crazy not to pick up a powerhouse athletic program like ours." As I said ... delusional.
  2. darned tootin' I am! I used to root for teams in the Big 8, but not so much in recent times. I feel like I have that ability back, at least until the honeymoon is over.
  3. Great finds - these pics are full of awesome!
  4. Thanks, BOJ. It's been great having the outpouring of support from a lot of other B1G teams' fans, and also awesome that the application was reportedly a unanimous decision by the other 11 members. I have only heard a few fans of other teams bitching about it. (Mostly Iowa fans, followed by false bravado...imagine that!)
  5. Likewise. I WOULD feel sorry for them, but my GOD, they have been so delusional through this whole process. They really think Texas will look out for their best interests and "what's all this fuss, we'll be fine". The denial is strong with that one. I'm guessing they feel that since Dodds is a KSU grad, there'd be no way he'd leave them out of anything, coupled with thinking they are handcuffed to KU. DOOOOODS, wake up and read the writing on the wall.
  6. My memory isn't what it used to be, but didn't Dr. Tom have a beef with it up front, and wanted a Big 12 network instead (like the B1G has)? Or have I been reading too many msg boards?
  7. I think most understand that we were the B1G's second choice. I'm ok with that. :-)
  8. I was right there with you until you listed those guys. All but one of them had a win against Nebraska last year (or the year before).
  9. I have learned not to draw ANY conclusions from the first game for any team.
  10. I know this is stupid, but it really bugs me when announcers of college games say a player was "down by contact". Isn't that an NFL only thing? To my knowledge, there is no such thing in college football. Am I wrong?
  11. You could understand him? I refuse to listen to him. Or anyone at ESPiN for that matter. Just tune in to see games and mute or turn the channel when the talking heads come on.
  12. Please no. I really cringe at adding ANY ACC teams. For selfish reasons, I would be ok with Maryland (because I'd make it to a game every time the Huskers visited), but otherwise please no ACC teams. They mostly bore me to death.
  13. not clicking on a tinyurl link from a person with one post count... just not gonna do it.
  14. I said it elsewhere, but say it here, too. If any other team announces their departure, the refs will be on their best behavior since they'll be auditioning for a new job somewhere else. No "jobbing" gonna happen after either MU or OU announce their plans to leave the house of cards.
  15. Ags better hope MU announces its departure soon because if they do, the refs will be on their best behavior--auditioning for another conference. Otherwise, expect the same referential treatment. Enjoy the season, Ags.
  16. I was NOT on board with the the conspiracy theory about the refs, but the ISU and the A&M games made me realize I was wrong. I'm more upset about the ISU game where Klein was twisting Burkhead's head with obvious intent to injure, and then knee'd him in the head just for good measure. The refs watched the whole thing, did nothing about it, until one of our guys simply pushed him off Burkhead, and got a flag. That was the most pathetic ref job ever in the history of EVER. Win or lose, the A&M bad ref job just cemented my entry into the conspiracy theory group.
  17. I don't think IT will be the team's colors, just that it would reflect their colors when they are gathered around it. But, would still be clear when no color was around it.
