I started speaking the language of statistics back when I was getting grief from Penn State fans in the mid-90's. People usually shut the hell up because they had nothing to counter with and knew their arguments were going to shot down with numbers every time.

I don't have an XBox yet, but I got the PS3 for the blu-ray capabilities initially. Like another person mentioned, there is also 3D capabilities on some of the games. I think you can also get Vudu (not sure if available on xbox or not), which is a PPV movie service. VUDU has a selection of 3D titles, and hopefully that will be expanded soon. PS3 doesn't charge (to my knowledge) for online gaming, but I know for a fact that Xbox does. If you have music/video on your pc, you can also stream them via the PS3... again, not sure if that's possible on Xbox, maybe it is. Point is -- PS3 is my choice for all its functionality beyond just gaming.

This "general level of respect" that you're talking about doesn't exist on those boards. Don't pretend that the other members sit around holding hands and singing Kumbaya at each other. What? If you read what I wrote, I made clear the respect is for the history, the conference, and for each others institutions as members of something bigger than themselves, not necessarily the sports teams holding hands. There is a clear distinction which you may or may not grasp. Big Ten fans generally love being part of the Big Ten. That's a fact. If any school left the Big Ten, there would be a sense of regret at the end of an era, even if the move happened to be for the best. Most, if not all, were happy to be in the historical Big 8. The Big 12 killed that history and sense of belonging to a conference, so we don't give a rip anymore. Is that clearer to you now?

That article reminded me of the ridiculous no-call on the guy grabbing at Ben Cotton's crotch. What a travesty of officiating. Same crew. That is the most unforgivable "no call followed by a stupid call" -- because it was so damned obvious. May A.J. Klein get his effing head ripped off after being kneed a few times.

look at some of the past predictions of "cfn.scout.com"... jokes. They must throw darts to predict the outcome of schedules.

I saw the Star Wars one and that looked really cool, but it's going to depend on how long my patience holds out. I like my instant gratification!

Thanks for the responses. I think we're going to wait awhile on getting it. He said that game was getting boring anyway. Too bad, because I was going to use it as an excuse to get one so *I* could play on it - the kinect games look fun. At least we've got the other consoles to tide me over for awhile. I am looking into getting XBox 360, but have a question about the difference in hard drive size. The options are apparently 4GB or 250GB, with an obvious difference in price between the two. What is the hard drive used for and do I need more than 4GB? Also - does anyone have any experience with the Xim3 adapter? We already have PS3 and Wii, but my husband who normally plays online games via the PC, wants to play some game (??) with his buddies. Most of them play this game on the Xbox, not on the PC. Since he's so used to playing on the PC, that adapter above would allow him to play like he's used to. Is it worth the $150 price tag? Thanks in advance for your input!

you may want to try streaming sites such as justin.tv, or channelsurfing.net. Sites like that allow people to broadcast whatever they are watching on tv at the moment.

Yes, I am worried. I got blasted for worrying about a player's comment on Cotton not focusing on technique, and he has yet to show me that I'm wrong. When it comes to Beck, it almost seems like more of that same thing, just at a higher level. Comments like, "Just get open" sounds just like the things Cotton was saying to his OL guys. Doesn't help my confidence when he's never called a play at the collegiate level before either.

Again, I say, it was nice to be included, but agree it shouldn't have included a Nebraska player. Like someone said, not a single down of B10 fb has been played, but more than that, Nebraska isn't even a member of the Big Ten just yet. Yes, it's in a couple of weeks, but sadly, we're still part of the Big 12 until then. I hope no one took it as disrespect. There was only one, and wasn't even towards the top - not like we filled the list or anything. I think this is just the honeymoon period. Actually, there's a flip side to this -- The BTN was once talking about Penn State and said it had a national title in 1994. So, if they are taking away Nebraska's national title on the BTN, the least they could do is have one of our players as the #9 linebacker in the Big Ten.
