  1. Last year against Wyoming. Hey you asked. True, true... but maybe I should rephrase. :-D
  2. Whatever the stat may be, does include championship games, and winning one of those has been elusive as well. I believe the stat on that alone is 1999.
  3. The asterisk means, "didn't cheat or back their way into the championship game"... I'm ok with it.
  4. hahaha. I like that one. He was too conservative at the end wasn't he especially on that 3rd down play. It was *almost* painful to watch how inept that was. No wonder Texass ran him out of town.
  5. When was the last time the Huskers won a night game away from Memorial Stadium. It's been awhile. What's it going to take to get past the hump against Wisconsin?
  6. Pretty easy - limit Ball's yardage, limit mistakes and turnovers. Easier said than done, but it's not impossible.
  7. They're going to the Capital One Bowl. Even a loss won't make them lose 2nd place in the B1G (taking out Penn St. and Ohio St.) So now you're just ambivalent? I wouldn't say ambivalent, but I don't have a favorite team in the game since it doesn't impact anything relating to the Huskers. I am watching your game and being entertained, which is what I hoped for most.
  8. I think I'd have to root for Michigan in this one, to improve their potential bowl selection. Ohio State isn't going anywhere after this game, but Michigan is. 9-3 sounds way better than 8-4 in whatever bowl they go to. But, other than that, I don't care either way.
  9. Greg Davis (OC for Iowa), for making the blackshirts look even better.
  10. Just win, baby, and the rankings will fall where they are supposed to.
  11. How about the Cotton Bowl projection - Texas vs. Texas A&M!
  12. Fortunately, Minnesota won't come in desperate for a win to be bowl eligible--they just won their sixth today, which should help sate their hunger a bit. Iowa is just a bunch of ineptitude out wandering amok on the field... ...but statistically, the odds are against us winning against Wisky again. Historically IIRC, when college teams play twice, they split the results. Not only will this team need to not to shoot themselves in the foot against Wisky, we may need this team to beat statistics and mathematical probability. I look at it this way - the Huskers should have lost that game, so they'll play better next time. (I can hope)
  13. I'm thinking like back to losing to Iowa State 9-7 after a record 8 turnovers...that kind of crapping the bed. :-D
  14. Thanks! I'm hard pressed to find anyone who regrets the move. The only thing about the B1G I don't really get yet is the obsession with the marching bands.
  15. I won't lie either. Minnesota and Iowa are TERRIBLE. I don't disagree one bit. But how many games in recent years did the Huskers lose as a heavy favorite? Too many.
  16. I won't lie - I am a little worried about them crapping the bed in the next two weeks.
  17. Would you prefer to have *choke* Callahan back on the sidelines, void of all emotions and Cosgrove saying, "there there, there there, it's alright"? Please find another team to root for, or better yet, another sport. I, for one, love Pelini's fire after dealing with the "C" word on the sidelines.
  18. Is Iowa, "COLORADO", part II? Tank their whole season, but it's salvaged if they beat their perceived rival, Nebraska? I was listening to the Iowa/Purdue game on Sirius, and heard several ads mentioning the Nebraska game, as if it was the only one that mattered.
  19. I think they had close to 600 yards on the ground - who even needs a QB!! Tough tough break for Stave, though.
  20. Thought this HAD to be a piece from The Onion. Criminy, cry more, Mack!
  21. Touchdown or no touchdown, it did not change the probable outcome of the game. The way PSU was losing defensive players left and right, I don't think the score would have stayed 30-27 for long.
  22. Now I'm hearing he had at least one player swapping jerseys at half-time during a game. What a douche! I hope he stays there a long time - Lame couldn't happen to a nicer school.
  23. I picked 'play in the title game but lose by 30'. I want them and Oregon to win out in their regular seasons so we can stop with the SEC dominance crap. But, don't want KSU with anything in their trophy case other than Big 12 champs. If that happens, and they get blown out by 30+ points, they won't be boasting too much that they even got there in the first place.
  24. Been high on Sparty all season, and will continue to be after this game. But, please do us a favor, and lose just one more game, if that's not too much to ask. We'd certainly like a trip to Indy instead of you. :-) But, if you should make it, I will be cheering you on.
