  1. ^^^^Is that an admission that this evening is going to underwhelming?
  2. I'm interested to see where they go with the "threats" by Trump's team. I'm guessing it will get covered in the interview. The "warning shot" DVD is more likely to have evidence of that than sex acts (man I hope there isn't a sex tape.....) if it actually contains anything at all.
  3. I'm with RedDenver on this one. Donald Trump is a dirtbag, we all know it. A lot of Americans dislike him because of it, and a lot of Americans don't care. Unless this interview somehow opens the door to illegal activities it is really nothing more than "click bait" for TV. edit: but I'll still tune in and watch
  4. No, I'm not so lucky! I'm just a regular old joe named David Dennison. I wish I was as successful and handsome as Donald. My gosh! Have you seen his hands? They're YUGE. I bet he can throw a spiral through a tire from 50 yards away. And how bout that guy and how the women, THE MOST BEAUTIFUL WOMEN, surround him. I like his big brain too, his intellect is much smarter than other people. STUD!!!
  5. Why would we let foreigners or other people "who don't belong here" fight for our country? -Mike Pence
  6. I agree. I know it sounds like I'm talking out of both sides of my mouth, but really I'm not. I'm okay with the United States meddling in elections because I believe (I know it is naive in many cases) that we are doing it for the better: democracy, freedom, equal rights, etc....I'm not okay with other nations doing it to us because the motive I see is disruption, chaos, distrust, etc.... I understand why other nations would want to meddle, and I don't think it is unwarranted. But I'm not okay with it. Poor analogy: I'm an organized crime kingpin. I make a really good living running books, money laundering, and all kinds of illegal things. I understand that the FBI has every right to bust up my ring, but I'm not going to be excited about it. In fact I might do whatever I can to disrupt the investigation and make the FBI seem like the bad guys....
  7. It drives me bonkers! We are all Husker fans here, presumably. And most of us complain when our defense doesn't do a good job of stopping the other team. Well...we tried to score on them too, so maybe we shouldn't get so upset when they score just as much, if not more, on us? If I lived anywhere else, I might laugh at the current goings on in America, but I don't. America is my team and I don't want to lose. But I also don't believe that means other countries have to feel like they lost.....does that make sense?
  8. I'm trying to remember that part of the movie. Would Bruce Wayne be Biden or Trump?
  9. Sadly, I believe Trump is enough of an attention whore that he would actually do it. Part of me thinks Biden knows this and is trying to see how stupid Trump will get (I also think that is beneath the office of VP, former or not). (sigh) Que sera, sera.....
  10. Kearney is 185 miles from Omaha and 275 from Scottsbluff. Kearney is "Eastern NE"
  11. Maybe not as hopeless as you think. I was at a funeral this past October in Kearney, and shared a table at the lunch with several western NE ranchers. We no more than had the napkins on our laps before they started talking about what a dope Trump and his administration has become. Granted, this was a small group; but not a group that I would expect to share my beliefs. (Actually on second thought I would expect them to share my thoughts on Trump because they are thoughtful, intelligent, and kind people. Political party shouldn't matter as far as this sh%tshow is concerned.) edit: before I get blasted, I'm aware Kearney isn't "western" NE; that was where the funeral was. These were Cherry county boys.)
  12. Or you could get a summer job with Two Men and a Truck and get paid to workout....
  13. Not that it really matters because professionals are usually "professional" no matter their voter registration, but isn't Mueller a Republican?
  14. Fired before midterms: Dems take over both the Senate and House and remove trump by the following 4th of July. Fired after midterms: American's riot and burn down our cities.....
  15. Your understanding is far better than Trump's.
  16. I'm not sure what interview they were talking about, but last week Sharpe and Benning were discussing a Frost comment that he was open about being a fan of Bo's. Which I would believe because of the connection to Osborne and also the reason Frost was tentative about taking the job unless the bad apples that fired Bo were gone too.
  17. I don't know the kid so I have no idea. But if football were the only thing to go into a transfer decision, Ben Miles will be part of the attrition this summer. But, he's more than a football player, so who knows?
  18. Thanks! So I think my thought is right. The area that allowed Lamb to win (Allegheny) is going to be part of Pittsburgh and most likely represented by Democrat, and the Southwest corner will continue to be represented by a Republican after November elections. So the GOP threw money at a race that really didn't mean anything outside of the next few months. My thought, not that it matters, is they could have just let it be and still have a majority in the house and also have the argument that they didn't even try because the district would be redrawn and the Southeast would get the Rep they want then. As long as Trump's pride took a hit, I'm happy though.
  19. Is there any insight to what Pennsylvania is going to look like this time next year after the electoral districts are redrawn? I haven't seen the new map, if it's even available, but I would assume the southeast corner would still likely go to a Republican with the Allegheny area being more likely represented with a Dem in new alignment. I'm still trying to wrap my head around why the GOP put so much money and energy into a race that really might not mean anything in 6 months. They spent money to just get embarrassed as far as I can tell.
  20. Look no further than the clown currently on UNL's campus and the conversations we've had here on Huskerboard.
  21. To answer your question, I'm not sure there was anything they could have done differently at the local level. From reports I've seen or read, Cruz wasn't "let off the hook" for anything. He was put into counseling, which is probably pretty common for someone with issues like him. I really don't know, and I don't have the time or resources to go through each police report that was filled out when police were called. But if Trump gets his way, I guess they could have stormed his house, taken his guns, and locked him in a "looney bin" indefinitely....(who am I kidding, the kid had a MAGA hat. Trump would have complimented him on his wardrobe and called him a "tough cookie" then proceed to deport Cruz's neighbor....)
  22. I was having a lively conversation with a friend who brought up the interactions with officers and how the fault was with the FBI and Sheriff's office, therefore no gun control laws of any kind are needed. We just need to enforce the current laws. I asked: why is a responsible gun seller allowed to sell a gun and have no idea that a person has been reported to police more than 2 dozen times? The conversation stopped there.
  23. I'll give you one guess if you really need it....
