  1. I never once mentioned the color of his skin. They make *** holes of every skin color. I don't think he is the right role model for young people. You may disagree with me but look at what the guy promotes. What exactly does he promote that every other Nebraska worthy entertainer doesn't? Who would Nebraskans "approve" of?
  2. Not really No recruits are interested in seeing Miley Cyrus or would equate Lincoln being "cool" if Miley was in town Right well I don't think Nebraskans want to promote the debauchery that unfolds at both of their concerts The arena will be full; so evidently there are enough Nebraskans that want to see it including potential Nebraska players. I have witnessed debauchery at epic levels at a Kenny Chesney concert, I've seen boobs at a Toby Keith concert, and I've seen "smoke" at a Willy Nelson concert. To hell if any of their kind have the audacity to put on another show in our state...Some uptight "Nebraskans" need to get over themselves...
  3. The more wow factor will come when he doesn't fumble every time he is tackled while running the ball. I'll take a few less completion points for more ball security. You say this and then blame Beck for play calling with your next post. It can't go both ways. Beck's a little handcuffed with a fumbling machine, calls safe passes so be doesn't throw and int. it's fairly obvious. Sorry I'm off the Tmart bandwagon. I will forever appreciate what he has done for this program, helping turn it around. He was fun to watch at times. But if you guys think there are aren't better options out there your nuts. I'm not going to sit, here and say they are on our roster , but we need to explore other options. Especially with the guy playing hurt. If they aren't on the roster, they aren't an "option" at all, let alone a "better" one. So, No, we're not "nuts". However, I'm with you; I hope TA lights it up and earns the chance at extra practice reps during the bye week and possibly more. Not because I'm tired of Martinez or don't like him, it just means someone else has "stepped up". The staff, especially defense, talks of needing players to "step up". Just imagine if that trend started at the top, a.k.a. QB!
  4. Student Body - Penn State style.....
  5. I have watched a 30 year old man burn a Husker t-shirt on his back patio after the VT game in Blacksburg and the continue to actually CRY and bemoan about "when will something good happen to us?" This is not a definition of "the greatest fan" (although he thought he was the best) and I truly believe that is where many of our "inter-fan" divisions come from. I watch every game possible, in person when I can. But I can't watch at a bar or with most of my "friends" because they are the "fanatic" fan that Bo complains about. For every one positive they will find 10 negatives. I understand that is my small group and I like everything else about them, but these nutjobs do exist!
  6. Anyone else find the irony in posters saying "If I bitched about my customers, even in private; I'd deserved to be fired on the spot" and then continue on about how they would have every right to do so because they put up with crazy, mean, irrational customers all day everyday. But because they are respectable adults they don't badmouth, even in private.... (FYI, the interwebs isn't exactly private, especially on a free public message board)
  7. You might crap yourself if you ate lunch in the teachers' lounge at an elementary school.......
  8. You're not giving him too much credit. Everyone on this board has said the exact same thing about something or someone they've cared about in private. Many times. umm.. I doubt that. And it was a professional setting... he had his players with him and he is paid to be their teacher/mentor.coach... that is a professional setting. He was coaching at the time. A private setting is several people setting talking and no one is representing their employer as they speak. He was at work... working... not a private but a professional setting. Right, because what gets said in a football locker room or wherever it is compares to what gets said in an office building. Nice delusions. In fact it is. A locker room is to the coach what a classroom or research lab is to a professor. It is where you conduct your professional service to your student(athlete). that's some funny sh*t, right there......
  9. Get crucified in public. Post of the forever and evers....
  10. Have we really gone 11 pages without some kind of Romney GIF????
  11. I would love for the admins to give Bo a "one year or else" type ultimatum. It would give Bo the freedom to reignite the fire in his belly and unleash the fury that is the Blackshirts!!!! After witnesses 10 straight wins covered in cursing, tantrums, and spit, the higher ups might realize that "hey, maybe scary Bo is good?" I'm not saying Bo should start body slamming refs, but it shouldn't be off the table either
  12. Really? Who cares when he said it? The fact is that he said it. We fans are HIS customers that pay his bills and then some. Buh bye Bo!!! No idea what line of work you're in but have you ever disparaged any of your customers when you thought they couldn't hear you? I sure have. And I was wrong to do it. And you should be fired, Landlord! You're an ***hole, and you have no right to your job!!!! (kinda what you're saying about Bo)
  13. All due respect, Joe, but so what? The issue at hand is not, and never has been, whether Bo supports and is there for his players. We've always known that to be the case. Just because you're a former player doesn't mean you're excused to make strawman arguments. It might not be the issue at hand, but you can NOT disregard it...
  14. Seeing the black in the crowd; I'm calling shut out!!!

      HuskerfaninOkieland

At this point I don't care what color fans are wearing as long as it's loud.

  15. Pretty sure Benning was actually on the team....I think that is what made him mad, the team in the mid 2000's lost touch with the past and got it wrong, now he is constantly reminded every time he hears the prayer.
  16. If I heard him right, Damon Benning says this is absolutely wrong; has it been discussed? He says it is "the team that can't be beat". He was pretty upset with the "Through These Gates" movie for getting it wrong...
  17. I'm with you, ByeBye. I would rather the crowd wear pink and be absolutely rocking, than wear all black and not show support with noise. Let UCLA hear and feel black, not see it. (unless they are unconscious!)
  18. Hopefully we win because you wore red. Can't you red? He's wearing read. C'mon people...... (Just playing, I'm getting a little anxious!)
  19. +1 I told co-worker yesterday, "42-21 NU". Glad I'm not alone....
  20. To quote Clubber Lang: "My prediction, PAIN!!!"
  21. Did People "watch" the Wyoming game? that was a 44-21 type game (not great, not bad). But there was a "learning" curve for the new STUDS. That was not a "3 point game" it was a "3 point win". I don't think anyone can honestly say they were in doubt of the game entering the 4th quarter (different story with 3 minutes left, kinda my point). If you say you were, you are lying. Nebraska is not as bad as you want them to be...(edit: sorry about font. I replied when the "pissing match" was going on)
