  1. Did People "watch" the Wyoming game? that was a 44-21 type game (not great, not bad). But there was a "learning" curve for the new STUDS. That was not a "3 point game" it was a "3 point win". I don't think anyone can honestly say they were in doubt of the game entering the 4th quarter (different story with 3 minutes left, kinda my point). If you say you were, you are lying. Nebraska is not as bad as you want them to be...(edit: sorry about font. I replied when the "pissing match" was going on)
  2. Certainly can't argue with that prediction. Hate to say it, but that's a very likely outcome. Does it taste like vinegar when you transition from "old" to "bitter old"?
  3. I'm still compiling data. So this isn't finished. 2009 Iowa St - 2.9 ypc 137 rush yds 102 pass yds Tex Tech - 1.0 ypc 25 rush yds 234 pass yds V Tech - 2.3 ypc 86 rush yds 192 pass yds Texas - 0.5 ypc 18 rush yds 184 pass yds Thanks for the reminder..... +1 for everything else though.
  4. If we almost lost this game from anything it was turnovers that cost us points and gave possession back to Wyoming. Pelini is not in danger of losing his job, nor should we want that to happen. We came close to running off Osborne and running off Solich cost us a bowl streak.....and a whole lot more. Basically, we saw a continuation of the 2012 season. 2012 was plagued with terrible defense and lots of turnovers. The most concerning thing to me was how flat we came out and played. It was the home opener for crying out loud! '12 UCLA = Loss, CCG Wisconsin = Loss, Georgia = Loss, '13 WYO = WIN. Looks more like a trend has been broken to me, basically.
  5. Like being one of only four programs in the country to have won at least 9 games each of the past five seasons? Honestly, that puts us in pretty elite company Yes. Let's beat our chest and be overly proud of losing 1 out of every 3 games we play. This place used to be the home of champions. Now it's the home of "good enough". that is a powerful statement. i hope all of husker-nation sees this, especially the bo, the ad, and the president of nu. Hopefully, people in a position of significance, such as AD, realize it is 1 out of every 4 games they play....
  6. and Texas State = Wyoming Also don't forget Southern Miss lost to Texas State.
  7. I would hate to see football turn into baseball (waiting between pitches) but I think this could start some interesting discussions. I don't agree with it right now, but I can't say I absolutely disagree with it either.
  8. Too bad they couldnt get the push for that 1/2 yd in the 4th, when we most needed it. Dang! Naw, they did a respectable job, but we're talking Wyo here, the team that was near last last year in rush D. Watch the game. We had the first down, but for some reason the forward progress was never called and the ball was allowed to be stripped out. The call was a fumble recovery, not a to on downs. Oh, so that was the fumble, I couldn't figure out where the fumble was in the game. I dunno, didn't look like he had it to me when I watched the game. I'm also scratching my head as to why a QB sneak was called when anything but a QB sneak would've been a better call. You don't rely on Taylor Martinez to make the play in that situation. P.S., I am choosing to not watch a replay of the game. Think I'll just try and put it in the past, though there were some great plays on the offensive side of the ball. You're doing a very bad job.....
  9. Speaking of "Bi-polar": at the 30 second mark as fans are walking across the bridge in a fan "pump up" video, a man is trying to sell his tickets..... edit: meant to quote Knapp's video...
  10. "Dear Lord, the battles we go through life...."(Christian): "Dear Allah, the battles we go through life...."(Muslim): "DearJehova, the battles....."(Jewish) "If anyone is listening, the battles..."(agnostic): and finally, "Note to self, the battles...." (atheist) The "prayer" can be used by anyone.
  11. Obsession? I mentioned him one time ever on this board and its an obsession? Out of context? IDK go watch the show for yourself. I basically quoted what he said, take it for what it is. I just think he is anti Nebraska. There isn't one thing to prove that he isn't. But more importantly, who cares? Again, I am laughing at what he is saying. I give two sh#ts less if he picks us, but I think its FUNNY how he goes around us when talking about the B1G. I understand we blew our big games, but to say Wisconsin is the sleeper of the B1G who could put the brakes on the SEC... really? We almost beat (IMO) the best team in the SEC. WE were our worst enemy in that game, while having one of the worst defenses in the B1G. Yep........and 70-31 also happened not one month earlier....
  12. Disagree. It's our team. Without us, he has no job. Without him, we'd have a different coach. Without YOU, someone else's butt is in the seat....get over it, you (or me) is not that important as individuals. When "you" are part of a majority, your "side" has a say. Fortunately for NU, a majority of NU fans like Pelini and his overall handling of the team.
  13. Nope. In other words, you better watch your p's and q's, because you will be held accountable. (see that?) er, thanks, amigo, I'm gonna try, I really am, you know, about the p's and q's. speaking of peas, did you know they go really good with baby carrots? It was clear that posts are permanent until a mod deletes them, right?.....
  14. 18-22 year old men and women (not kids) make up a decent percentage of our military. I don't think our expectations for the Huskers are any higher than our expectations for them. Let's not act like these sophomores/juniors/seniors are too young to be trusted, or too young to have expectations placed upon them. If they are too young (immature) then that's on the staff. O................................................................... M ......................................................................... G ..............................................   (btw: that is directed at both of you...)
  15. I'll answer the question with a question, who is "Husker fan"? If we are talking message boards, we are on par with any big time programs (a.k.a: Alabama, Oklahoma, Texas, USC, Florida State, etc). If we are talking about people watching from the stands, we are better than everyone.
  16. (Computer voice): "Would you like to play a game of chess?"
  17. I appreciate everyone's efforts after this, but you're all wasting your time.....:thread complete.
  18. Ladies and gentlemen, we have a winner. You mean a 3-star DT that had 20-some tackles in a year where his rushing defense was God-awful? We have one of those on our defense. try 60 tackles. 24 tackles for loss. 11.5 sacks. I believe QMany was referring to Fairley's stats from the year before they won the championship. (not "drastically" better than Randle this past year....)
  19. True story: after the VT game in Blacksburg I witnessed the husband of my wife's coworker torch "everything Nebraska" including his kids' clothes (thankfully kids were not in them).....= giant douchebag!!! Pretty sure he was crying too!
  20. thanks for the nomination JJhusker1...means a lot Don't be too proud, 99.....I was going to say "50% of Huskerboard" Just to be sure it involved the likes of you....
  21. I'm very proud of my Pretty Huge Dick. But you don't see throwing it in your face all the time. If it was, you would
  22. Regarding his PhD, I would be too. I am a middle school teacher (by trade) and a Christian (by lifestyle). According to the FoxNews "reporter", the next time my principal asks me to write up lesson plans or a syllabus my response should be, "I'm a Christian, why would I write anything about school...?" If the anchor's agenda wasn't blatantly obvious to a viewer, the viewer is hypnotized by his/her own stupidity...
  23. I have my answer (from talking to a friend in the "area": "Urban sprawl is a bitch!"
  24. Nuance, it isn't about having an "outlet" on a weekly basis, I have that. We meet somewhere at a central location. It is more about finding "buddies" after settling down that don't involve the awkward feeling of being your "wife's friend doing you a favor". I agree, my best friends today are from college and my work that isn't really close to home.
  25. That could be an issue. BINGO! I feel bad/weird about asking the guy I hardly know to come move furniture because my wife all of a sudden feels the playroom should be an office and not feel as if I should pay him in cash, food, beer.
