  1. It is pretty fast. Anything sub 11 is usually pretty fast. Marcus Fleming our 2020 wr commit is in the 10.3 range which is elite. That is blazing. Nance and Houston are in the 10.6-10.7range.
  2. Is he a heavy Iowa lean? All CB say Nebraska but those are not real recent. Technically anyone I guess could end up at Iowa, but seems like a lot optimism from your end on Iowa landing these guys. Hope your wrong.
  3. That first clip is a joke. That DB should be ashamed of himself. What in the world was he doing. 9 yards off the ball and just drives the hitch. Looks like he has LB help short too and no one over the top.
  4. Thanks for posting the top schools up top. I don’t like watching those videos. Appreciate your work Mav!!
  5. Not failing and getting eligible for college are 2 entirely different things. Kids get low, but passing grades the first couple years of high school and then they can’t raise that gpa when they get older. Happens a lot with our kids. Really sucks when the kids don’t have great support at home and they can blow their opportunity with decisions they made when they were 14-15 years old. Lower the gpa the higher the ACT needs to be. Farther you get into Hs the harder the classes are that you are taking.
  6. Yes. Higher gpa the lower your act can be. I think if you raise your act by too many points (like 5 or more) you have to retake it to prove it. At least that is what I have been told regarding one of our athletes.
  7. It just show that there are many reasons to pick a school. Relationships, proximity, scheme, family connection to school, coaches, facilities, etc. etc. etc. Iowa has consistently produced good TE. We have a wide open offense and a staff he seems to have solid relationships with. I like our chances with Fidone. I think we can do better than Brecht but liked him as a prospect too. TE is a harder position to find than WR.
  8. Then you could make the argument of why would Brecht go to Iowa. Been below average at that position for quite awhile and depending on personnel they may only have 1 or 2 WR on the field at a time.
  9. If practices are pushed back and Omar manning is on campus for practice then it would be an advantage for us.
  10. Not quite. Jurgens was largely seen as an athlete who People weren’t sure where he would play at the next level. Some saw Jurgens as an LB,Te,DE, Fidone is a true tight end. Both were highly touted though.
  11. Not sure he would need to take an SAT. Most schools require gpa and act. ACT could follow suit though.
  12. What are the chances we have anymore spring practices this year?. I would say it is doubtful. I believe Duke and Kansas have already suspended athletic activities.
  13. You betcha. That would be a solid left side with Jamies and Farniok.
  14. Hope he comes back. If he doesn't then I could see Hickman playing a lot more WR instead of TE. We have Stoll and Vokolek at TE with depth behind them. We can still be pretty good at WR if Omar is even close to as good as we think he is going to be. Pair that with Wan'dale and we could be solid. I think Alante Brown will be a name to watch too. He is on campus early and seems to have all the attributes needed to play in this offense.
  15. I am hearing that it is between Us, Iowa, and Kansas State. He is leaning on playing football at the next level, and it seems likely that he will receive a scholarship to do so. Take that FWIW.
  16. I think they needed to beef up Adrian a little last year bc they knew he might be our feature back with the uncertainty of Maurice Washington's legal situation and no RBs on the roster to carry the ball.
  17. I see. 2021 should be talented in the backend. I like where the secondary is at, and the direction it is going. OLB is the spot we need to fix, and i like it looks like it is trending up, but not where it needs to be.
  18. This year we should not be too young at DB with Williams, Dismuke, Bootle, and CTB. We will have some young guys that will play but we should have good experience too. Clark got his feet wet last year and should be ready to hit the ground running this year. Lot of options on the backend. LB..... Not so many options. but still have experience with Miller, Muaga, and Honas. Would really like to see Henrich step up and maybe Greene situationally.
  19. Just landed coach hazelton as their DC from KSU. Great move by sparty. He is a stud. Mich st defense will still be a force.
  20. Just a way for fans to connect to the team during Winter Workouts. I enjoy seeing them, but they are not too informational. I would rather them put these out, instead of not put them out.
  21. I agree. Dudes film has it all. Great instincts, plays well in traffic, closes in space, and bring the the lumber on contact.
