  1. If it is brown and suttles then no need to hit the panic button. We have a load of talented young lbs. Who knows about suttles? Football player fights break out all the time in college. We had multiple fights break out amongst players and it was squashed afterwards. Unless their was weapons used or excessive violence like beating a guy's that is already down then this isn't something that should hang over a program.
  2. I like the unis. It is for one game and it will only help not hurt our image with kids. No kid in America will say I thought Nebraska was a traditional power and didn't need alternate unis. But some kids will think the unis are sweet and talk about them the next day to their friends. Now lets go out and whip the Bruins so they will associate us as a program on the rise.
  3. Good for u Harrison. All the hard work has payed off. Now time to become number 10. It's seems hard to miss on a kid like this. He is very versatile and could at the minimum contribute at a position, and hopefully find a spot to excel.
  4. I wander what we would do if tony James, and ballage want in. I think u could sell James as a scat back and London as a thumper. I would really like ballage to be part of this class too.
  5. Couple crystal ball 247 predictions coming in saying he will choose Nebraska. I like his skill set. He is very athletic for a big back.
  6. Was just thinking about this last night. Great that we are hitting BOTH Florida and Texas! Nebraska is the new Texas with 3 of 9 being from Nebraska.
  7. Welcome N trai. This weekend is off to a good start. Let's keep them.rolling in.
  8. Anybody know anything about trai Mosley. Is he a visitor for brw? He is a db from Texas and 247 sports has him crystal balled to be a husker. Just wandering since that is the first I heard of .
  9. Ohhhh yeahhhh! We have our lead recruited for this years class. Time to do some work.in Florida for is Darlington. First order is tony James.
  10. I like this idea... Isn't the whole point to get the kids on.campus. they visit the kids and talk to them daily. The whole point is to wow them with our state of the art facilities and show them.Lincoln isn't a cornfield.
  11. Some people will never be happy. Darn these coaches for saying that kids are coming when they say they will. Coaches making other prospects intentions public draws hype from the media. Those are good things. The coaches have done everything they can short of giving these kids money and flying them up themselves. This big red weekend will not be as big as it could have been but we still have some exciting prospects with a chance of some committs. Here is to a big weekend and some more good news on top of farmer AND stoltenberg offer.
  12. Great news . Let's keep it rolling. Welcome aboard
  13. He can play any position he wants just get him N.
  14. Good news with ballage. I think he could be the LB of the class. Would have liked to get Taven on a visit but oh well. Needed some good news.
  15. Flipping to Texas very soon according to 247 Twitter mentions. Boo.
  16. lol What's funny? A defensive guy committed to Baylor is funny.
  17. Good free info on nebraska.247sports.com Says Nebraska sends him something everyday and real comfy with our staff.
  18. I would say it is a risk to assume either one could put on the weight to play O-line. Caputo and pensick are not much bigger than Phillips. Phillips wouldn't.be a guy who.played right away. He could redshirt and easily put on enough weight to play center. We pull with our center aloy so.they need to be.quick rather than big.
  19. 10.18 equals world class speed. He did make a cut or two extra, but those occurred 30 yards downfield when 99 percent of tbs would have already have been tackled. Dance all u Want bud if u can get me 30yards.
  20. Love it! It pisses me off to hear about guys slacking and I am not on the team. For guys who bust their tail and give it everything they have and u watch guys on ur team just getting by it should upset u. Maybe not the most appropriate time to bring it up, but u can't worry about feelings of someone who is pulling their weight. Buck up or pack up.
  21. Ball security can be taught. World class speed cannot. Sign this guy up. It was a lame attempt to be funny My bad. I was wandering how someone would find something to not like about this kid. Kid reminds me a little of tavon Austin.
  22. Ball security can be taught. World class speed cannot. Sign this guy up.
  23. He is definitely an athlete. I could see him playing multiple positions on either side of.the ball. If beck thinks he can play qb then let's let's look at him for qb. Kid is versatile.
  24. He was a 5 star on scout and espn. I just looked it up. I think we had the best RB class in the nation last year and I am glad we have enough horses in the backfield to have this conversation. Very excited to see how we use all of our weapons on offense. From the proven guys to the newcomers like Moore, Westerkamp, Taylor, Newby, and even Armstrong it will be fun to watch it all unfold this Fall.
  25. Splitting I doubt. I could see him sharing with newby, cross, and Taylor. Much like heard, green, and Abdullah we're used their fresh years. Trust me. Adam Taylor is a better back than the ones you listed when they were his age. He's the best back we've signed since Ahman Green. I think he looks like a stud. But if you say he will split carries from our all B1G RB, I find that hard to believe. Splitting meaning he will get the same amount of carries as Abdullah. I hope he does come in and tear it up, but the way we run our offense with tempo and how we like to stay with the hot hand, I dont see Abdullah coming off the field a lot. Ameer is a stud and has outworked a 5 star back and Heard was a top 100 kid. Again, I think you are right that Taylor is a great RB and he has a great combination of size and speed. But i would bet that if you take the carries total from the mid-season to end Ameer will have a more carries (barring injury) We run under center more than people seem to remember. That weird toss play is the huge example. Aaron Green was never a five star back. At the end of his senior year he was rated right around where Braylon was. Neither of these kids ran for 2700 yards and 45 TDs or basically singlehandedly won their teams a state title. Adam Taylor is the best back Bo has ever signed and by mid-season he will be a big part of our running game. Not because the cupboard is bare, because he's that good. Green was a 5 star back according to scout and I believe ESPN. Just as important in our offense is the stretch zone play were we pull center and guard and need a speed back to stretch the defense and find a seam or get the edge. That play sets up or qb run game too. It makes the defense defend the whole field. The toss is a staple in our offense too, but I believe Newby high school ran that play alot also. Taylor had great H.S. numbers but he also had 2 extra games bc of exhibition games they played he got 16 games his senior year. Newby had 2300 and and 43 td's in only 14 games. So, stat wise they are pretty even. I think both those backs bring exactly what we are looking for at the rb position. I think that is how we got both of them bc they both have something that will make our offense hum. Cant wait to see these guys battle it out for carries in the Fall. I still give the guy that has done it before the edge over any fresh who has not played at this level yet.
