  1. I saw Kevin Cosgrove copying some notes from Husker Football 101. He’ll still be struggling to understand them through midseason. Of next year.
  2. The Big 10 is gonna be shocked at how well the Sea of Red travels. Think there is any way that all Cornhusker road games will sell out in 2011?
  3. How can he be held responsible if he suffers from maple syrup urine disease?
  4. that is what i was wondering... also, ISU might be ugly. apparently and according to a reliable source [i.e. cyclonefanatic.com (look for the w/l post)], jack trice stadium is a formidable venue for away teams. Ha ha! Baylor doesn't have the worst fans. They don't have any fans.
  5. Maybe the poll should be, Who is the 2nd and 3rd worst fan base? Not much debate about CU being the worst.
  6. I guess I missed that other thread. That was pretty great!
  7. Eric Martin. The guy really showed some stuff on special teams last year.
  8. Right now, with the NCAA wielding all these sanctions, it’s kinda like Al Capone’s team speech scene from “The Untouchables.” Capone is walking around the giant dinner table carrying a baseball bat. And everybody at the table is a little bit nervous about who’s gonna get it.
  9. Should USC give back OJ’s Heisman too? Bush wasn’t nearly as bad as OJ. Heck, Mike Garrett is a POS so might as well send his back as well.
  10. My favorite part was that after asking for said apology, he actually cleared up that he should have voted for NU because he failed to notice that Mizzou has to come to Lincoln. This guy is a freaking AP voter. AN AP VOTER! And he didn't know (or bother to look) at Mizzou's schedule?! Not to mention his his undefendable picks for the all-big12 team. Jerrell Jackson and Derrick Washington on his all-conf. team... Ha ha! And he picked CU to be 3rd. Does this guy even *follow* college football?
  11. Kinda funny stuff in that article. THe guy spews hate on every Big 12 team other than UT. The quote above may be the only civil thing he said about any team other than his whorns.
  12. Agree with all those mentioned by craigsker and others. Gomes is another guy worth mentioning. Even though he probably won’t start, Gomes has a nose for the ball and will get a fair number of interceptioins.
  13. i never heard that...but all i know is that when kunalic was in high school he won a kicking competition by making a 70-yarder on his first try...but if henery is that good i never heard any of that Yeah, you're right. I thought I remembered reading something about it, from this board. But now that I look it up, it was just a joke.
  14. Ha ha! Alex would be lost if you lined him up straight behind the ball. That, and I'm sure he'd miss his toes.
  15. Yeah, this is what I'd be concerned about if a whale crashed onto the deck of my yacht. heh heh.
  16. Maudfather, I like the way you think! This is my take on the likelihood of each, from most to least likely:
  17. I read something last summer (on this board I think) about Henery kicking a FG from 73 yards in practice.
  18. Alex is a great fit for this, and not just for his good works. Allstate spends big bucks advertising with their “good hands” on field goal catch nets.
  19. If we ever had a #2 skill position guy get kicked off the team for smoking weed just before the season starts--well, I'll bet we wouldn't win more than 10 games.
  20. True. But there was a bit to spare on his 57 yarder.
  21. Among the shortest posts ever that made me spit-coffee-laugh. Welcome back.
  22. Yeah, it sure seems that way. And when you mix in zealous wealthy boosters, well, NCAA sanctions are bound to follow.
  23. Spot on Josh. It’s popular these days for NU fans——especially the Internets crowd——to dismiss this as homespun folklore. But it is a LOT easier to keep tabs on guys in Lincoln than in LA.
  24. Probably not. Otherwise we'd see Okie Lite up there.
  25. And not to be a Debbie Downer, but we lost four games last year. Granted, three of those losses were by a combined four points, and we coulda/shoulda won each of those games.... but we didn't. Maybe this year the ball bounces our way and we win those games. If so, we've got a defense that can go toe-to-toe with anyone in the country, and we've got an offense that (fingers crossed) won't be an utter embarrassment. No, you are being realistic. So is Damon Benning. Just look at our wins. Aside from Mizzou and Arizona, we didn’t win any game by more than two TDs——after our OOC sched, that is. And Mizzou we only beat by 15. But it's offseason. So it's all good that the Kool-aid is flowing freely! GBR!!
