  1. Stop it, lock this f'ing thread. God, Husker fans are the biggest bitches when it comes to this sh#t.
  2. This is funny but come on, no one wear Afflication gear anymore do they? That sh#t went out as fast as Ed Hardy gear! Wearing that sh#t now is like committing clothes-a-cide.
  3. I think that people who are worried about physical practices have to remember that just as many injuries (if not more) happen from non-contact drills. When a kid jumps, there is a chance he will land wrong, when they make a sharp cut there is a chance something will tear. Its not like they are making these kids run into brick walls or hitting them with sledge hammers.
  4. I agree with the above post and would even say that most 12th graders that have been playing football for 4 seasons would make most of the posters here seem weak.
  5. It doesnt matter why they come to the campus, its all about what you do/tell them when they are on campus. Its like a date, it doesnt matter why the hottie said yes, it just matters what happens on the date.
  6. My guess is that Cook felt like a goof for giving money to a guy like Pedey who turned out to be an ass and a clown. So of course his emotions are running high at the time. Its like when you date a girl that all your friends hate and you freak out, until later on when you find out she is in fact crazy.
  7. I agree. I actually enjoyed 810 when I lived in Lawrence/KC for 6 years but 610 is a joke. KK sucks on 810 but the rest of the people seemed decent and without an agenda. Chicago talk radio is TERRIBLE!!!! Chicago talk radio is pretty bad and almost NEVER talks about college football.
  8. I think he takes silent commits if it is to surprise the family or something like that.
  9. Unless you are a hot girl, dont wear a jersey. Its just kind of odd.
  10. Taking visits can be draining. You are finishing up your game Friday night, catch a plane, get picked up, get taken around to a million different things before the game, watch the game, do tons of things after the game and then more meetings on Sunday and you are flying back home. After about two or three of those they probably start to seem tiring. Its all about the connection you make while on one of those trips.
  11. No kidding! If this is an 11am game it will be tough for me to catch it all. Freaking Saturday coaching obligations!
  12. Unless things have changed, at Lincoln the CGD crew sets up outside. I think that there is just not enough room inside the stadium but like I said things could have changed with how they are able to set things up now. I am starting to get this bad feeling that the UT game will be at 11am.
  13. www.huskerfanclub.com Thats where I saw it, froma poster the usually doesnt just post made up crap. So it is Antonio said poster was referring to? Yes

  15. Bell has been moved to DB? Anyone else hear that?

  16. Its college football and I love fans smack talk, its fun! That being said, ISU will probably lose to NIU, that is a bad game for them to open with, NIU is pretty loaded, they play good football and this is the kind of game that is a big win for them. On the road vs a BCS team that in all honestly they have a chance to beat. There is a chance that the line might be around 10 in favor of ISU. Its going to be a close game.
  17. Rivals is in the best position becuase they get to rank kids AFTER they have started to get offers and give verbals. It is really easy to not have a kid ranked or evaluated and then "hear" that he has offers from PSU, FSU, USC, Bama and then go "oh he is a 4 star" Again, Rivals is good and does a decent job but they are like Biff in Back to the Future. They have the sports atlas that gives all the scores so they can win all the bets.
  18. That sounds more then solid. That kid is going to Stanford (good for him) unless the sh#t hits the fan and he cant get in. In this case, with a school like that and all the chances it offers a kid, I hope he makes it in.
  19. Realistically, the post-season ban won't even affect the 2011 recruiting class. 1 year will be the 2010 season which they won't see, the 2nd year will be the 2011 season which they'll either be redshirting for, or riding the bench for. The only affect it will have on a recruit is if they think the 30 scholarships will impact the school enough to put them in a down period for the next 3-6 years (which I personally think it will to an extent, but they'll still win 9-10 games). Now...had the NCAA actually done something sooner, like back in February when they held the hearings...this would have had a much bigger impact. Henderson wouldn't be there, probably half a dozen other kids would have jumped ship before signing day, and USC would have ACTUALLY been punished. This is just a slap on the wrist for a school whose 3 deep is better than 90% of the nations starters. This is a really good post. Also, lets face it, most of us dont look that far into the future and most 17 year old kids are not going to look 4 or 5 or 6 years into the future either.
  20. I dont think it will ever sniff Stanford, the only school in the Big 10 that is close or on par in some respects os Northwestern.
  21. Wow! OU has 3 Rivals 250 DT's in this class. #9 Marquis Anderson #11 Jordan Wade #12 Jordan Phillips Wow...but let's see what they do with them. I am sure they will do very well with them. Its not like OU is known for having players go there and suck.
  22. I think Julious Peppers played both at NC.
  23. No kidding! I was thinking that too!
  24. I dont know about that, first let me say that coaching football for the last 10 years I dont care about Rivals rankings and honestly, I have never met one coach in high school that does. But, for the kid, it is a big sense of accomplishment or maybe even pride. So while there is a possibility that he was upset that he was not a 5*, it probably has more to do with the fact that it was a goal of his that he felt he did not reach. There is nothing wrong with having a goal and there is nothing wrong with having a goal, not reaching it and being upset about it. I understand that rankings can be a goal, but I think the reason he's upset is because he's been having people telling him he's going to be a 5* since he was a sophomore. But I think a lot of players get caught up in the "fame" and start thinking that they're a big deal before they even set foot on campus. It happens lots of players. For chrissakes, Jimmy Clausen walked out of a limo to the press conference where he signed his LOI. Same kinda thing happened with Owa. Look at the article on Rivals if you have a membership about "players react to rivals250." Our other guys like Moore and Turner said that they were honored by high rankings, but they don't mean anything if they don't perform. And don't get me wrong, I think Green is a monster, but I think he might be the kind of kid who could have trouble with a coaching staff like ours who isn't going to give out any handouts or preferential treatment. Maybe you are right. I guess we will find out down the line.
  25. What is that like, as a student at OSU, when they have football games but the school year hasnt started yet? I mean, are the only students there the ones that live close by, have an apt or live in the frats? The dorms probably arent even open, are they?
