I remember having some chart to gain 50 pounds on my bench in 30 days (maybe it was 90 days)...me and two buddies followed that thing to the letter...It did not work. I am trying to find it right now...it was so stupid. They even had you doing negative reps. I think at the end of it all I went up like 5 pounds. I want to say it was from Muscle and Fitness magazine.

That is a great point...you can basically be a rockstar HC for the basketball team with pretty minimal expectations.

Nice raise, it would be tough to turn that down. Add in the difference in the cost of living and that is like a 150K raise.

Is the kid an a$$? Or have crap grades? It is just so odd but maybe the coach just didn't want a ton of kids, but that is sooooo opposite of most wrestling coach, maybe the coach is a doosher.

I still can't believe people think this anymore. 1. You are getting a 5-7 year contract 2. The cash is all yours no matter how bad you do 3. After each season you will get another year added (more money) 4. Signing on the line means you are no worth a minimum of 12 million dollars (low end, because the next Husker coach is getting 2.75 million to start, per year) 5. If you fail, guess what, you take a new HC gig or you go coach on a friends bench or you retire...a millionaire.

Anyone else sort of turned off by the kids dad? I can't put my finger on it but something about his lifting videos and stuff like that, it is just so "uggggg", maybe not even turned off, more just like an eye roll. Back to wrestling, I feel like by 9th grade you know if a kid is going to be a state champ or not...it is just soooooooo freaking clear which kids, even at that age, are awesome or not.

I can still remember sooooo many dorks finding "reasons" to believe that Riley would be amazing at NU...some dudes felt like at OSU they took turns lifting on an old Bowflex machine and feasted on Banquet chicken dinners.

He found some lame drug company and I think he said it was/is 100% commission based but I think he already left it. Dude became a mess...oh and his wife left him.

My buddy that did it and worked 20 hours a week and never worked Fridays was making bank for years...once companies realized how bloated things were getting...he was gone.

I really don't get Pettits, sometimes I think he thinks he retired a bit too early and wants a bit more attention.

I think he is a big time southern guy though...not sure if he would want to be out in Lincoln and I wonder if his southern act would play here, it probably would.

Yeah, I agree with you on that (not on the google part, I use Ask Jeeves) I think Moos will look at Bruce Weber first. I that that two years ago when Illinois went and stole a P5 coach from Okie State it has/will open the doors for other AD's to steal coaches from P5 teams.

Could be a nice hire...won't get the fan base all that excited.
