  1. There is a lot of season left but you have to start doing the math... 10 conference home games: Do they go 10-0? Maybe, but probably 9-1? So that is 9 wins... 10 conference road games: Do they go 0-10? Probably not but I could see...5-5? So that is 14 wins...which will get them into the dance with wiggle room being 3 games (I think they get in with 11 conference wins)
  2. This...this was not good. Defense was bad Shooting was bad They have played 3 good teams and beat one of them.
  3. I still don't know why he doesn't do that more often but he must have his reasons.
  4. This is an interesting match up... I predict poor shooting from both teams with an edge on the glass to Minny. I see something like 68-66 type of game and I think the Huskers are ready to win a road game like this.
  5. Stallone had a funny quote about Over The Top...he said something like "they called and offered me X amount of dollars, I said no...they called again and offered more...I said no...They called again and offered more...I finally said yes, I figured it was a lot of money and no one would see the movie anyway"
  6. First time coaching girls...as of right now...they complain SOOOO MUCH LESS than guys.  Oh my god, it is night and day.

@In the Deed the Glory glad to know I'm not the only one that's noticed this. I have no idea how they jump with their arms straight up but usually they don't get much air.  In volleyball they use their arms and bend their legs to jump.  It's very strange, almost like an instinctive reaction to a basketball bouncing around the rim that can't be changed.  Usually the basketball gets volleyed between a few hands before someone gains possession.

That is so funny!  Our VB girls on the BB team can't jump...but when they play VB they can just just fine!

  7. Very true! But back then I had tickets...now I turn down free ones! Ha
  8. For those of you that have family members that no longer drive has Uber and Lyft been something that they use on a regular basis?
  9. I skipped games all the time when I was a student. What about you guys?
  10. Unless something changes...this kid seems to just freaking love the Illini.
  11. I would be really shocked if he ever goes back to the college game. Dude has made millions, probably might want to just chill out with a sweet TV gig or radio gig or front office stuff...but who knows. Minnesota would make sense.
  12. He is too unselfish, I don't think he is wired like a big dog. I am not sure what position he should be at on offense...on defense I suppose the nice thing is he can guard all 5 positions assuming the 1 isn't a freak and assuming the 5 isn't a giant.
  13. You can stop and see the worlds biggest ball of twine...unless you have to hurry to Cousin Eddie's house
  14. Fred hates recruiting but man he had some fun basketball teams at ISU.
  15. I have been shocked that people (scouts even) are big into Roby...He is a plus athlete but not a freak...he is in luck that the NBA is positionless now but I still don't see where he fits because he is so passive and almost seems like he doesn't even love the game all that much. With that said...he seems like a great teammate and very coachable...so if he gets on a roster he will stick for a long time without playing much.
  16. This year will be good but Miles lucked out (not a slam) that everyone came back. Usually dudes that are 25 with a bad back like Copeland don't come back...usually transfer dudes that have a shot to make money (even overseas money is good if you are in the right league) like Palmer don't come back. Sadly the recruiting behind them is bad. So Miles is actually the big winner here. He is going to make the dance and should make a run to the second weekend and then will be in line for, not the TOP jobs that open, but the second level top jobs that open. Now, he is a midwest guy so that limits him a bit as to what positions he will be linked to but still...he is gone either way. It just so happens that now it will be on his terms because he knows he needs to go cash a new lotto ticket.
  17. And the skers were shooting 55% at the half...not sure what they shot for the game.
  18. The Illini are not better than their record shows. There is a reason that they are 12 point dogs. They let up 55% FG's and put the opposing team on the line about 30+ times a game. They have no inside presence at all. They will press and pressure all game so expect the Skers to have 15+ turnovers. This game will go like this...Big Husker lead that gets trimmed to about 6...but in the end the Huskers will pull away and win...87-72
  19. The pickers take one of two approaches. 1. The "first" approach...they will gamble with limited info in hopes of "breaking the story" of where a kid is going. 2. The "high %" approach...they will wait and wait and wait until they almost know for sure before they lock in their pick.
