So NU lost to a team that it should have beat by 42... Again...that sounds like the Purdue game is the worse of the two losses. Because in the other version NU held UW 47 points from what it should have scored.

The Ball State loss*That TT drubbing The Purdue drubbing I would put those 3 losses ahead of Wisconsin. There's absolutely no way I'd put any of those games above either loss to Wisconsin in the B1G title game or the 408 game See...by not putting Purdue over those...it goes to show how crappy people though things were last year and how lowered the expectations became. Think about that for a moment. Nobody is saying Purdue wasn't severely embarassing. I think you are putting too much weight into the quality of opponent. Purdue is was and will be a dumpster fire of an opponent. But Wisconsin wasn't good that year. It's more about the fact they hung 70 on us so easily and could have honestly put up 100 if they wouldn't have dialed it back a bit. Purdue had to do everything in their power to win the game against a backup QB and defense that gave up. The quality (or lack of) IS what makes it a big deal... Wisconsin put 70 on NU...Purdue scored 55 and that was with only scoring 7 in the 4th! Could you imagine if they would have kept their foot on the gas?

Hey...Miles just beat a first year head coach with about 20 games under his belt. Really gonna hang your hat on that ?? Where is the..."We will be better without Shields" crowd. I still think he might be the best Husker...if not...top 5 for sure. They never even scored over 40 points in any other game last year.

Trust me when I say it's not over yet. There's more smoke to this fire I'm going out on a limb and say it won't happen. I will go out on a limb also and suggest that there are a 100 posters on here that expected a comment like that from you. Yep, I make no bones about how Tim has done so far. Funny - don't recall one time that you have mentioned how well he has done at bringing in higher level talent. I don't go by stars, I go by production on the floor, and so far it hasn't been that much of an upgrade! Our freshman are getting better just from the pure fact of playing more, not from coaching Are they getting better? They are 2-9 in their last 11.

There goes ESPN again...with this crazy agenda that losing to Purdue was some sort of "bottoming out" situation...Do the math! NU started a backup QB and still basically out gained Purdue. Plus, if you subtract the turnovers and subtract the toxicness it was basically a Husker win. We were down 42-16 at one point to Purdue... I cannot think of any situation that is any lower than that. That is rock bottom. And what was the final score? I thought they played all four quarters for a reason. By the way...I am being totally sarcastic. That Purdue game was the worst loss I can remember.

They also hired Hoke, and while he could possibly be an upgrade, he hasn't coached defense in like 30 years. I think I agree with all of this... I do think that Oregon will travel well for this game. I think it is going to be a great atmosphere

I think Dartmouth (They don't tackle) went from 5th, 2nd, to first...over the last 3 years. I think that is what I heard. Really? If so that is amazing and mind boggling too. Yeah I just looked... They went 5-5 6-4 8-2 9-1 and in conference 4-3 5-2 6-1 6-1 So they seem to have improved each year. Shoot, last year they never let up more than 20 in a game.
