After four games I must say that I am very impressed with the intensity and emerging talent on the defensive side of the ball. With that being said, I have been and continue to be completely unimpressed with the Defensive play calling of John Papuchis. I find myself often wondering if he is fit to coach a high school team and if he could get any job on his own merit instead of because he is friends with Bo.

If it ends it better be replaced by something much more significant. Like a giant hologram projected into the sky. Or air force fighter jets spraying red streaks overhead after every touchdown. Or cloud seeding that makes it instantly start raining red. Or a giant N on a platform that stands behind the South Enzone that explodes into blazing fire after every touchdown. Or a man eating a Amigos crisp meat Burrito walks out onto the field after every touchdown.

In my best Bo Pelini voice in regard to Ameer Abdullah AND Randy Gregory.. "He's a good football player.." And that folks, is a good football team. Looks like we finally have some gamers!! Nebraska is going to win some football games!

Looks like a team that should compete for the division, perhaps more? Overall I think this is the first time I have seen real "balance" out of a Pelini football team. Talent, perseverence, and promise exist on both sides of the ball. Keep it up!

Wow. I'm kind of shocked at all the Papuchis love. He might be able to recruit but he has yet to show that he can coach the defense.

Yes there is a chance. IF Nebraska runs a flawless offense. Nebraska never or close to never turns the ball over. Nebraska puts up 45-50 PPG consistently Nebraska never or close to never commits offensive penalties. OR If Pelini can make a young defense perform like he's never made a young defense perform before.

If Bo is the DC then Bo needs to focus on defensive coordinating. Like I mentioned, it may be a dead horse issue but I don't care.

This might be a dead horse issue but I really don't care. John Papuchis has no business coordinating the defense at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. Tom Osborne and Bo Pelini made a mistake elevating him to this position. It is obvious his player development, player motivation, and defensive scheming are lacking. The man has shown he is unqualified and too inexperienced to take on such a role at Nebraska. This program merits individuals with head coaching experience or the great potential to be a head coach in that role. WIth the amount of money we as fans pump into that school no price should be too high. I have been too patient and do not accept the defensive product Nebraska put on the field this past season as acceptable. It needs to be fixed immediately.
