  1. they don't get any congrats from me. they deserve to lose and would have it not for some questionable calls
  2. I hope Bama knocks that smurk off his face. I am disgusted with texas right now.
  3. these refs are a joke... The questionable pass interference call on amukamara that got them the first field goal. The second pass interference call on Hagg when he clearly looked at the last second. We played against the Refs, sorry a** sons of b****es.
  4. I like the kid and hope that he stays, but I can understand him wanting to leave.

  7. I believe he is a #1 overall pick, but I don't want him going to any of those teams, especially the Raiders. They are all black holes for talent. I would prefer him get drafted later and have a better chance for a lasting legacy then go high to team that does not know how to utilize his talent. But I am sure his wallet and agent would argue otherwise.
  8. having a first all big 12 safety is going to help reel him in.
  9. Couldn't agree more. I am interested to see what martin, williams, and whaley can do. I think martin has the the potential to be the next Maualuga.
  10. says he wants to come in for a visit
  11. vestal could also be looked at for DT or even OG. I think vestal is going to be a DE, because he doesn't look anywhere near 240 on the tapes I've seen. Also, we need one of these DEs to potentially play next year. We have a three man rotation at DE, which means we are one man away from someone having to play the entire game or add someone to the rotation who isn't ready getting on the field. But I think there is a lot of promise in our DL recruits. Jay Guy has the potential to be beast (underrated imo), same is true with okuyemi, rome, vestal, and I can see ashburn as an oversize DE like potter. any chance we go for the 230ish d ends again? honestly, I don't think we do. Bo wants his DL to control the run and make opposing teams one dimensional. To control the run you might need DEs larger than 230. I can see a hybrid guy coming around like Demorrio, but guys like him don't come around often.

  13. There was nothing about him on gator boards, but they did say they stole C.Martin from ND. Chris Martin was the one I heard and I also heard that Ronald Powell has been a silent Gator commit this whole time. yea i think that is going to close out their D class, unless they want 5 DE commits.

  15. if it is a close game i think that it is going to favor us. regardless of what the commentators said last night, we have a better D then UT. But if we do win, you have to make a promise to beat whomever in the natl. championship game, and bring the BCS to an end.
  16. UT bound if these pictures mean anything http://www.tigerdroppings.com/rant/message....asp?p=16373100 (scroll down to the bottom of the page)
  17. going to visit UT this weekend, along with Jackson Jeffcoat http://www.insidetexas.com/news/story.php?article=1679
  18. canceled his visit to ND this weekend, in favor of visiting Ariz.
  19. how in the H*** is USC still ranked? They've got blown out twice this year.
  20. Since, Danny Spond is looking around I say we add him to the list of prospective QBs.
  21. seeing USF get demolished has to help our chances.
  22. Eldridge, English, Jones out for OU Comment Email Print Share ESPN.com news services NORMAN, Okla. -- The Oklahoma Sooners have lost three more players for the season. Coach Bob Stoops said Tuesday that starting offensive lineman Jarvis Jones will miss the rest of the year with a fractured heel suffered during a 10-3 loss at Nebraska on Saturday. Jones is the fifth starter the Sooners (5-4, 3-2 Big 12) have lost for the season. Big 12 blog Griffin ESPN.com's Tim Griffin writes about all things Big 12 in his conference blog. • Blog network: College Football Nation On Monday, Stoops announced that defensive end Auston English and team captain Brody Eldridge also suffered season-ending injuries in the Nebraska loss. English was scheduled to have surgery on an injured ankle tendon Tuesday, and Eldridge is out the rest of the year with a neck injury. Stoops initially had described Eldridge's injury as a shoulder sprain. "It's just odd, too, the injuries," Stoops said. "[Trainer] Scott Anderson's never seen a fractured heel. The tendon that Auston English is having operating on later today, he's never seen that tendon -- that ever happen in all his years of training. Brody's situation, it's actually with his neck, he's never had before." Heisman Trophy winner Sam Bradford and star tight end Jermaine Gresham had season-ending surgeries earlier this year. The injuries have played a role in perhaps the most disappointing of Stoops' 11 seasons in Norman. Oklahoma (5-4, 3-2) started out with hopes of returning to the BCS championship game for a second straight year, but instead has fallen from No. 3 all the way out of the poll for the first time since 2005, heading into Saturday's game against Texas A&M (5-4, 2-3). "At certain points, sure, all that's happened through the year, it aggravates you. It motivates you do to better," Stoops said. "You're constantly searching for ways to overcome it, so that's what we're trying to do -- to get better in certain areas, to not hurt ourself with some foolish penalties, to execute better in critical situations, to make a field goal when you've got to make it." Offensive coordinator Kevin Wilson said Tavaris Jeffries is back with the team after dealing with a family issue last week, and freshman Tyler Evans and sophomore Brian Lepak will help fill the holes at guard. Stephen Good, a guard, will work more at tackle to prepare to back up Cory Brandon, and tight end Eric Mensik will be an emergency option. "We'll still hopefully have enough. We're at a point, though, we need to knock on wood and kind of stay where we're at," Wilson said. "We don't need to lose anyone else as far as being able to manage and get through the season." http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=4641503
  23. No. There are players that you know are dead locks for schools, but if you have talent, schools will attempt to get you on board. If they didn't, they would not be doing their job. Even more, schools have had the opportunity to offer Jake for a year now. No one has and not even Nebraska until a few weeks ago. If he had that much talent and was a coaches son, everyone and their cousin Joe would know all about this kid. I mean really, how many legacies with extreme talent have we not known about? And Jake Cotton just sneaks up on us like that during his senior year? And for the person talking about it being insulting to ask him to walkon - there have been more than one kid who has offered to be a greyshirt in the past to help recruiting classes. One of which being a DE who plays quite a bit for us. When you have the resources and opportunity to help your team, you do it. Getting Jake to walkon, while costing the Cotton family basically nothing out of their pocketbook would be asking nothing. I mean heck, if Jake wasn't an athlete, don't you think Barney would be using his job title to get Jake into school on the cheap? You bet your arse he would. Regardless of my personal thoughts of his talent, he is eating a scholarship, and scholarship money, that could be going to another player who could potentially help us when there is absolutely no need for him to be doing it. He would get his education from this university for nothing regardless, so why waste 1 of only 85 scholarships we have to give out? Jackson Jeffcoat comes to mind. I just hope the coaches know what they are doing, because I surely as hell don't. You have Malone, Tejay, Cooper, OO (longshot), Mobley, Swigert, Reese, Slavin, Harper, Lamb, and I know I am forgetting a few and we offer the coaches son? I hope they are not going to turn away one of those guys for Cotton. He may be a diamond, but his father has money. Edit: you are coming off the greatest win in recent history and this is the best you can do?
  24. i think we definely need a good safety as the deep ball seems to be something we could always be better at.... i am really hoping to land this guy and wonder how his visit went... with last night... seeing how Bo and Co. has basiclly developed a top 5 defense in two years.... with the crowd the spriit of the team and everythign in general i have such high hopes don't know how his visit went, but here is some new video of him playing defense for the first 3 mins. looks legit. don't think we can go wrong with him or cooper
