The better question may be whether Watson being retained would prevent Starling from turning down millions... The better question may be would it be worth keeping around an inept football coach just to try and convince 1 recruit to turn down the Major Leagues? A recruit who will spend half his time concentrating on baseball if he does come here...

I'm fine with keeping Cotton around as long as we get away from hanging our hat on the zone read play all the time. When we line it up in the I or wildcat, and run it up the middle, our o-line looks down right dominant at times. When we have the QB and RB standing around in the backfield, giving the defenders time to get back there, not so dominant.

Especially with our inability to recruit good passing QBs and WRs.

Agreed. This should have been their day, a big day to welcome them into the program and start off on a positive note. It sucks that this story came out when/how it did. Yeah that kinda sucks. What really sucks is the controversy created because "Bo didn't answer questions to my liking". "Bo's a big meanie liar!" And so on and so forth,

It's really too bad for the recruits that their day was overshadowed by a manufactured controversy.

Yes it was an individual record, against a team that was pretty average. Helu 200 some yards in the first quarter. Not trying to down play, a record is a record. The huskers I believe led the big 12 in rushing, but I think most of conference is pass oriented. The teams that were more run oriented were terrible in passing, just like Nebraska. Where was Nebraska ranked in passing...... anyone? Bueller? anyone? I believe it was in 100ths. How many yards rushing did Nebraska have against teams that actually teach defense???? not a whole lot. I remember Missouri playing pretty good defense last year. Give them some credit, I mean, they finished the season with as many wins as we did.

Well, the last coach (besides Bo) I wanted to see leave. Huge loss, no way around it. Hope it's not true.
