  1. That is cool. The story. The graphic. Really cool.
  2. btw, not sure if it's been mentioned, but Stanley Morgan is a baller. Dude makes tough catches, runs hard after the catch and clearly takes pride in his blocking.
  3. I learned that I'm more confident going against Ohio St now than I was last week.
  4. Really? Who besides Gifford in game 1 has been ejected this year?
  5. I get what you're saying, but it's hard to take your argument too seriously when you start by making a joke about women's underwear. I'm not advocating for the government to pay for endless programs. I'm not disagreeing that some get a little too accustomed to playing the victim (which Nebraska fans are pretty good at..."ESPN hates us...Herbstreit hates us..."). What I'm saying is that a fair number of people, especially in central city/lower income housing areas, don't feel like the government (elected officials, police, school districts, etc.) has their best interests in mind. Often times they're right, and other times they're not. But instead of just saying "suck it up and deal with it" to a group of people, maybe it would be more productive to listen to what they're dealing with, why there is so much anger. Heck, both sides of a discussion might learn something and improve from it. It's like teaching a kid to ride a bike. It only works to push them and take training wheels off when the kid knows you'll be there for them if/when or before they fall. Idealistic? Maybe. People claim that our country was founded based on a lot of things. Idealism was right up there.
  6. From the ESPN article, two University Regents who, at the very least, contradict themselves pretty plainly. These quotes are far more disgraceful and disrespectful than anything the three players did or said. And they're supposed to be the "educated adults." Ugh. http://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/17655037/two-regents-gov-pete-ricketts-criticize-nebraska-cornhuskers-kneeling
  7. All people from all walks of life need to be and feel supported. When there is none or they don't feel it, they tend to act out in order to get attention, love and support. That's how I'd explain Charlotte.
  8. Then he needs to put on his Big Boy pants and quit whining when it comes to paying the cost of saying what you think needs to be said. "Free Speech" isn't free. Never has been, never will be. Many hundreds of thousands paid a bigger price for it than some mean Tweets in both this country and others. I'll tell you what: I'll buy Michael Rose-Ivey a ticket to the upcoming movie "Hacksaw Ridge" so he can compare his woes to that of Deloss Dodd's service in the U.S. Army during WWII, since they both made a stand and a statement. I will have to say, Dodd's was at least original. I didn't read any of MRI's words as complaining. Seems like he's just pointing out what's been said.
  9. 4 well respected leaders worked together on this decision. They know way more than any of us regarding this situation. I'm good with what they did.
  10. Couldn't almost every program in America minus Miami, and maybe Ole Miss recently, could say this?
  11. You think he's only driven drunk once since the last DUI?objection: speculation. I'm not a lawyer, but.... Seems like a weird question
  12. Gotta be honest, not a big fan of this poll. This situation is already bad, and there's already a thread with differing opinions and arguments making it even worse. This just seems like it will encourage more unnecessary arguing.
  13. NO, NO,NO 3rd offense and 2nd in Lincoln. No recruit or win is worth keeping this liability on staff. He's a lost cause that is begging to kill someone. no one is ever a lost cause.
  14. Not football related, but Adidas has done a great job with the basketball alternates this year. Although, in my opinion, any use of the script Huskers is a can't miss.
  15. Anyone with any background in playing or coaching a sport would have this as a basic philosophy on dealing with losing: Don't dwell on losses. Learn from mistakes and make every effort to improve. In my opinion, that should be the philosophy as a fan as well. If your opinion differs, fine. You can choose to get upset about a game. You can choose to call people "losers" or "quitters" for having a less emotional reaction to the outcome of a game. I'll choose to err on the side of keeping things in perspective and being entertained by my favorite team.
  16. I'm so happy there's a thread like this.
  17. I haven't seen anyone fully support Newby as the best RB, and we all like Cross but recognize his limitations. Everyone seems to agree that Wilbon has something that the others just don't have. Most fans aren't idiots. Contrary to some, the coaching staff isn't a bunch of idiots either. For Wilbon to basically not play at all this year points to some underlying issue, one that we the fans are not going to know about. We have to be OK with that and trust the coaches. If we don't, we'll never get ourselves out of the constant state of discontent we've been in the last 15 years. That being said, I hope things get figured out and we see Mikale a lot more next year.
  18. Eye test rankings: 1. Wilbon 2. Cross 3. Ozigbo 4. Newby Am I wrong?
