If Mizz plays like they did tonight, than Nebraska will roll 'em like the old days. Nevada D stopped them throughout the night with the biggest weakness being pass plays on 3rd and long. I'm sure they'll be a lotta crap talked between now and then, but Mizz fans who were at the game are surely worried about the upcoming game against Nebraska.

Nevada IS bad... yet Missoo had troubles with them all night long . Look for Nebraska to roll big!

Just got back from the game at NV....Folks, if Misery plays like they did tonight than we have nothing to worry about. The stadium was empty yet the Misery offense and defense could do nothing! NV killed themselves again, and could have won the game easily!!!!

Gabbert would have a tougher time scoring in the brothel down the road than he will in the stadium tonight. Carving up that vaunted Nevada defense will indeed make a statement!!! I hope the statement is, FroDaddy: "Well...we're up 40 at half, time to do something else" They quit serving "frosty cold beverage" at half-time so it'll be time to leave regardless of the score! Could care less about either school, but I would love nothing more than to provide updates of the "Upset in Reno", but it aint gonna happen.

Enthusiasm is great and I surely hope you are right. But claims for "next year" in all due respect this early in the season is usually an alibi for not getting anything much done "this year". We have beaten two patsies and I hope a third this Saturday. If we win that game we will be the best in the Sunbelt conference. We haven't played a single team in the Big 12. We lost the only game we played against a team that is a legitimate big time football team, and they have a set of problems of their own. Why don't we beat Missouri and then thump our chest about THIS YEAR and if we TCOB, next year will take care of itself. Let's win some games this year and get to the top 10. I agree. Actually with both of you. We will be a great team next year. But looking ahead to next year should never happen during a season. Let's focus on being great THIS year. I don't want Husker fans to get a Chicago Cubs mentality, always saying "next year is our year"

The newspapers out here in Reno say that Nevada doesn't have much of a chance to win the game. They have lost the two games so far this year by an average of 25 points. They did play a fairly tight game against Tex Tech out here last year, but they basically suck this year following high expectations prior to the start of the season. The score I would like to see (and I dislike NV almost as much as Missoo): NV 35 Misue 27 The score that is most likely to happen: Mizue 42 NV 14 It will more than likely be a blowout, but I plan to check out the game tomorrow and see what Mizz is really made of in '09. GBR!!!

Isn't this a violation of some type of code or something? A Husker fan betting on Mizzou? It definitely pains me to bet on them, but its the logical choice given the fact that I think they'll destroy NV. Its a win-win situation - I win the bet OR mizz loses (of course they could still win and not cover).

Mizz is picked to win by 7.5 over NV this week and the line wasn't listed for Nebraska the other day. Should NU roll like they are picked to (usually why there is no line) and MU wins by just over a TD, you might see NU picked by a couple pts to win the game in Mizzou based on the fact that they aren't getting much respect in Vegas this week. ScoresAndOdds.com have Mizzou as a current 7 point favorite. If you click on the FREE MATCHUP advice, they actually think Mizzou is the 16 point favorite green star lock. Nebraska is listed as a 27.5 point favorite I think 16 is closer to what it will be (probably be more). I've already put some green down on 'em this week, because 7 or 7.5 isn't enough. I see NV laying another egg, but this time at home.

Can't do it....I'll be at the Nevada/Misery game this Friday here in Reno and I don't like either team, but will be rooting for a NV upset. Good thing that NV serves beer during the game, because the game will probably suck! GBR!!!

I don't know if you watched the same game as me, but everytime we passed my blood pressure went up. VT is known for winning games on D, and probably should have had more than one interception (not counting the last second hail mary). Yes it looked like we played conservative, but Zac wasn't exactly dialed in on his passes for the majority of the game. It wasn't the offense that gave up the big play at the end. The only chance that VT had to score was with that big play which was similar to the opening kick-off.

Still stunned....we had this one and I can't see where anyone can say it's bad coaching because VT stole the game away in the waning seconds of the game. A couple years back, we wouldn't have had a chance. There are no "moral victories" with this one cuz it stings like the loss at TX Tech last year. Once the TD in the 3rd was called back, I had a bad feeling that it would come back to haunt us and it did. I guess you look at the big picture now, with OU (maybe KU) being the only teams that can stack up against us. Keep your heads up Husker fans.....lots of games left to play!!!!! GBR!!!!!!

Dude - I got married in '03 on the same day that K-State kicked our @ss!!! The groomsmen and I watched the game at a sportsbar, passed out, then miraculously woke up for the wedding. Shoulda waited 'til K-State sucked again!
