  1. I just wanted to see what kind of cat he would have this time......can't wait for the next one
  2. You can't tell me that's an 82 speed rating on NCAA 13
  3. -EZ and da skers are the only rational posters in this thread -Tyler Moore's gf should not have wrote that message on facebook -Tyler wants to play for the Steelers -Everyone wants Barney fired/mauled -I may have posted a gif or two -Nebula is starting the "Get Barney canned fund raiser" -Knapp posted something here and there Can you do this every 2 pages or something, cuz I got work to do, and I'm days behind in reading...
  4. Sucks, why couldn't the Lions have picked him up......
  5. I don't think it will change to much honestly. I don't think there is going to be an drastic change to the amount of passes thrown, but more receptions. Not a 70% completion rate mind you, but better pass game with an already good game turns into points. There will be at least minimal improvement to the D, and I still see a lot of running to run the clock out. Which with an already good run game will just add more points. i think the biggest change is the use of more running backs other then Burkhead.
  6. I'm counting on it, but I'd still rather: put the ball in Bell's/Enunwa's/Turner's/Reed's hands, and let Rex take maximum carries in the run game rather than: Rex take targets away from those four, and Abdullah get carries in Rex's place. So much explosiveness in our receiving core right now. don't see this as a bad thing if you line up Burkhead as a receiver...just another wrinkle to throw the defense off. but I'd say its one of those things that you have to do in a limited capacity
  7. Turner, not a naive vote, but just one of if I were a betting man, I'd put it on Turner. If not in catches, but at least yards
  8. Not a football genius, and I can see that the only way you can use the Peso in the B10 is if you have a big LB that can play coverage, like reaaaaallly good, and play the line backer spot well enough to be one of the top three in the traditional 4-3 That kid would have to be the son of Zeus
  9. The dude killed me in fantasy last year....I drafted him just cuz I am nostalgic like that, and in an effort to save my season I traded him, and then got burned by him......ahhhhhhh, Never trade a husker player....I learned my lesson the hard way....
  10. Someone needs to put you on an island until the season is over with only 2004-2007 football to watch. Maybe that will make you appreciate what is actually going on.
  11. Delete Iowa from this prose and I will heartily concur............... I'll duel you for it
  12. Exactly. As long as Bo is winning games the right way and is keeping us in the half half of the league. We'll never be able to beat the likes of Michigan, State, Penn State, Iowa every year, each year. But we'll get to the big show at some point
  13. I don't post on here on here often, but when I do its usually to vent. Most time I write it and then delete and feel better by just venting to my laptop's keys, so bare with me guys. And I'm not surprised.......is it me but does it just seem like the only thing that gets noticed anymore are the bad moments of Bo's meltdowns, bad husker fans, and that we are not elite anymore. We are good, but not great. We'll win 8-10 games, but because were Nebraska, its not good enough. To me, I am okay with 8, 9, 10 win. (Not Seven though, or even 7 and a tie, cuz you know we are Nebraska) Again, I know we are Nebraska I know we've won championships, but no team is ever ALWAYS elite, and Nebraska will not be either. It took how long for TO to win one? How many 9 win seasons did he have before rolling off arguably one of the best runs ever in history in the 90's? I wish this unobtainable expectation of National Champions or bust would just be replaced with pride of a team that for 4 years has been solid. Someone just posted how good Bo has been in his first four years.....you can't tell me with 6, 7, or 8 years of 9 or 10 wins, isn't going to turn into a once in a lifetime team that just completely dominates for at least one year, or even more. People seem to forget how close we were to this in 2008 and 2009. Mix the 2008 O with the 2009 D, and there would of been no stopping us. Just one year separated that. It will happen, just please everyone (media) learn to report the things that matter, like Rex being just a freak of nature when it comes to a man, tell me more about where these guys have come from. The stories that connect us to the only team that is so embedded into a states culture. Those are the stories that make me relate to the team that makes me spend 60 dollars a year to pretend to be a part of. (NCAA 13 less then 30 min away). The stories that tell me about the team that offers that short amount of time to escape before I have to go deal with some guy that just tried to kill his wife with a screw driver, or a couple killing a grandmother because they are high on meth. Drink the Kool-aid, enjoy the ride, and be happy that we have something worth being proud of no matter what the record is. That's what in it for me. Until next time A-holes! (Media, bad husker fans,Texan's who wear orange, any team not the St. Louis Cardinals, Mexico, Green men, and bad guys)....peace Love you Big Red nation Rant Complete
  14. I started reading this article and it instantly seemed to pair right up with the schedule. Rule #1) Never complain - Tennessee at Chattanooga Rule #2) Don't ever feel sorry for yourself - Fresno State Rule #3) Compete - Washington Rule #4) Crush your enemy totally - @Wyoming Rule #5) Ignore the noise - @Wisconsin Rule #6) Prepare - Ohio State Rule #7) Amidst turmoil, never lose your mind - @Minnesota Rule #8) Create a sense of urgency - Michigan State Rule #9) Know your role - Northwestern Rule #10) Work hard - outwork your opponent - @Penn State Rule #11) No excuses - @Michigan Rule #12) Focus on the process - Iowa coincidence? I think not.
  15. This season's bowl line up is the at the bottom of the toilet in terms of "good games" This conference affiliation of this bowl is going to be between this conferences second best team against this conferences 3 best team.........Its a bunch of dog doo-doo. This isn't' the first year I've thought this way, but this is the first year its royally pissed me off to the point I have to vent. Its not even a Nebraska thing. Can someone explain to me that a 10-3 against a 6-6 team is good for college football? (Georgia VS UCF) Or a Toilet Bowl of two 6-6's. (BYU-UTEP) Or a Who Bowl of Middle Tenn, and Miami (Ohio type). Or two teams who have already played each other (Nebraska VS Washington) If Bowl Games revolve around money, then why limit your self to Conference ie A #2 VS Conference B #4. If I were a School, I wouldn't care about what "bowl" I was playing in, but what match up is going to bring the most ratings *cough* money. If I were a Bowl, I wouldn't care what Teams I had playing in it. Obviously I wouldn't want 2 6-6 teams playing, but really if you think about it, if your a bowl sponsor, and you wanted to do a bowl game, that's what you get to work with. If you don't like it...sorry those two teams don't get to go bowling...and I would say most of America wouldn't be upset about that. It puts integrity into the bowl games, it gives good match ups. The money would be off the scale for Georgia VS Clemons two 6-6 teams. Just like it would for if a Okie Light VS Boise State. That would be a good game. Now lets talk about the Husker VS. Huskies AGAIN! If I am not a fan of either of these teams, I don't watch this game because I already have. Even IF the Huskies were to win, what would it prove? It wouldn't prove that the Husker are a worse team then the Huskies. It wouldn't prove that Huskers are over-rated (cuz you know that would fly all over the place if the Huskers lost). The only thing it proves.....................this will probably be one of the lowest rated Bowl games, and at the bottom of its history in terms of ratings. I know that the Holiday Bowl didn't have a choice in the matter of who they were left with to pick. But this is even more reason to scrap the bowl affiliation and just go with I get to pick anyone I want to pick of the pool that is left. Should look something like next year if I had my way: Rules: 1,Teams would not play teams of the same conference 2,Teams would not play teams they have already played BCS NC 1 vs 2 Sugar 3 vs 4 Orange 5 vs 6 Fiesta 7 vs 8 All other bowls match ups preferences are selected by media and fans Bowls would consider 3 of the highest match ups preferred by media and fans and make the decision based on economics for their sponsors. Picking order would be determined by last years ratings. I think that would fix the problem without having to go to a Play-off system. Done ranting.
  16. ESPN did something on this with the top fifty teams being split into five conferences. At the end of the year the top two teams would advance to a playoff if I remember right. The two bottom teams would have a winner adv/remains to the conference with the two top teams of the next lower division. I like this idea because it gives a yearly key match ups of relevant non-con games when you know your playing a top 50 team. You don't worry about the non aq thing anymore because teams like Boise, TCU, Utah, and the others are obviously top fifty teams. As long as they cut the mustard when they consistently play quality teams. They no long have that "they don't play no one" tag. Obviously you lose some traditional rivalries, but as long as you remain competitive then your probably don't care so much. But the conferences would be formed geographically so most would probably remain. It wouldn't work because all of the conferences would have to cease to exists and there isn't any way that the conferences would ever allow that to happen.
  17. Unless Bo starts locking players in utility closets, or grabbing them by the throat, or making them call home back to their mommies and telling them that Bo is mean, I really don't think any of us should care. Bo has a ton of emotion and wears it on his sleeve. I too am a perfectionist and I too get angry when my guys who I am in charge of start dropping the figurative ball. I think the real anger comes from the bad calls from the officiating and maybe the only thing to do is strike a little fear into the minds of the refs. Honestly I won't be happy until Bo goes off on one of them. Don't care how long the suspension would be, but I'd love to see him drop a ref on a blotched call. Am I along on this?
  18. It is so obvious that Texas is not a good team. They are over cocky and pretty much have the spoiled rich kid syndrome where they think everyone will just roll over on them. In Big 12 play there has been two Teams that Texas has shown up to play. OU, and NU. Both of those teams are teams that Texas knew where make or break games in their season, and those should of been. They showed up, OU they lost, and NU they won. Granted NU handed that game to them, but I think that they played fairly well. So much better then Texas has all year. They are cocky silver spoon feed players, and thankfully are getting everything I they deserve. So, Texas sucks, but they still beat NU, but are not better then NU. Just needed to rant......Thank You
  19. Hahaha, I was just thinking the same thing. Has to be better then the 83 that he has now.
  20. Players need to focus. We can discuss and estimate, and dream, and and and and and and anything not focusing on the next game. Just saying
  21. More importantly what does this do to their scoring defense ranking
  22. With Bama losing today it moves OSU and Oregon into one and two spots. Its plausible that both those teams could lose the rest of the way. Leaving the next two teams Boise State, and TCU. Do you think the two NON-BSC teams continue to get leaped much like Oregon did? NU leaps OU to No 5 Rounding out my Top five for next week Ohio St. Oregon Boise St. TCU Nebraska What do you think the odds are that NU continues to leap TCU and Boise St. Ohio St. loses one, then NO. 2 NU Beats No. 3 OU in the CC and meet Oregon, for the BCS National Title?
  23. Yes! As soon as I took my seat about 2 hours before game time I noticed him sitting a couple of seats left and back of me. I could tell he was focusing, so I didn't want to bother him for anything. So I just took a simple picture as he was sitting there Thought about asking him to throw the bones, but It was just as cool to see him run up and down the field during the game.
