  1. They are probably the worst team to ever play in Memorial Stadium... yeah, they're that bad.
  2. I would like to see Brion redshirt this year so he has an extra year of eligiblility to potentially make an impact at WR and PR. Brion's already redshirted. Has he? I was thinking he was a true freshman last year. You're probably right. My bad. Don't you get an extra redshirt every time you switch positions?
  3. Maybe Brion will see the field at WR today. Would be good for the kid to get some PT, he deserves it.
  4. From my time around the team and the coaching staff, I always got the feeling that the players loved the coaches and the team. But, I am perplexed about wtf is going on in Lincoln right now... Aaron Green Ryan Klatcho Tyler Moore Chase Rome These are all high profile guys. 1 or 2 leaving I understand, but this can not continue to happen.
  5. What? Bo has proven here at Nebraska that his system works..... 2009 ring a bell? 2010? Yeah, when we had 3 linemen that made it to the league on our D-Line. We need to adapt to our talent level and recognize our weaknesses. I disagree, Bo needs to RECRUIT better.... I think he has the last couple years.... While I agree my point still stands. He has to realize that we don't have the talent upfront to be successful with the 2 gap system right now. So we need to adapt a new strategy that works with out talent level. If we get the talent back one day we can go back to the system but it just doesn't work with our talent. Image running Georgia Tech's offense with a QB that runs a 5.8 40. It just doesn't make sense.

  7. The sad truth is that we have not executed in all areas of the game on the same day for a very... very long time. And people are starting to be become frustrated with it. I'm not willing to concede that this is the height of Pelini's ceiling, but he needs to prove a lot of people wrong in the next two seasons or he's going to be in trouble.
  8. Love these mid game threads... they surely never backfire...

  10. A trap game would indicate that we are looking ahead to a tough upcoming opponent. Correct me if I am wrong but we would have no reason to believe we would easily walk over UCLA. We are confident that we will win, but it doesn't mean we underestimate or don't appreciate the talent that they have at the school. Color me confused.
  11. Devin Fuller ... I don't really have a look alike for him. Just wish he was on our team. That is all...
  12. I don't want to throw anybody under the bus here, as I'm quite removed from the situation now. I will take a guess though. I interviewed for a job for the ad agency that does the tunnel walk about a year and a half ago. I had a job at the time, but was thinking about making a change. I interviewed at a place in Omaha and the ad agency that does the tunnel walk in Lincoln. They let me know that the person that normally handles the tunnel walk was on their way out, and they were looking for somebody to take it over. They offered me the job, and I declined for a few reasons. Took the job in Omaha, and now am running my own production company. As to why the quality of the graphics dropped, my guess would be that new team they have on the tunnel walk isn't as well versed in After Effects and Cinema 4D as the person that they had on the job before. Again, I am removed from the situation now, so this is all speculation. My criticism of the tunnel walk lies mostly within the planning and effort on the creative end. It's lazy and repetitive. I wouldn't want to be the person they look to, to create a new graphical look of the same idea every year. It's not why I turned down the job, I would have loved to push a more video/narrative based tunnel walk. Again I don't think having better graphics would make it any better. It's just the same thing in a different package that we have been getting for the last 5 years.
  13. Too lazy to read the entire thread but... Will Compton will do just fine.
  14. Okay, I just didn't know if it had been confirmed right from Tyler's mouth yet. I know there had been rumors, but now its official.
  15. 1. Ohio State 2. Michigan State 3t. Michigan 4t. Nebraska 5. Purdue 6. Wisconsin 7. Illinois 8. Northwestern 9. Iowa 10. Minnesota 11. Penn. St. 12. Indiana I can't drop Michigan too far, as I think we would have been in the same position they were against an Alabama team that seems to be in late season form. Ohio State seems to be the most put together team so far this year. I think Nebraska has the most room to move up and Michigan State has the most room to drop. Overall I am going to guess Purdue gets the nod for the Leaders (Weird to say), and I'm not confident enough to make a guess for the Legends. My guess is it's between Michigan and Nebraska.
  16. Not surprising news here, but Michael Langston from WarChant.com spoke with him and he said he has no plans to return to Nebraska. He visited Florida over the weekend, and plans to visit Florida State as well. Not sure if there was another topic on this so I apologize if this isn't the right place.
  17. Let me just say this. Huskervision is not producing the Tunnel walk. The last tunnel walk they made completely from start to finish was in 2006. Snitily Carr, a local ad agency has been creating them for a very long time. In return they get some box seats to the game. The idea for the tunnel walk though is created by Huskervision, and since 2006 I think it has been very stale. I said this ealier, but it's essentially just the same thing every year. "5 Nation titles, 3 Heisman winners, 300-some academic all Americans, etc etc etc" They throw in some flash graphics, cut out some memorable players from the past... it's been the same for a long time now and for some reason they refuse to get creative with it. I had a long talk with my wife yesterday about it. (She's the one that sparked the idea for the "In The Deed the Glory" vid), and we just talked about a general lack of interest to getting the stadium excited, and a large part of it starts with a lack of effort on the tunnel walk. I want to get the feeling that the players and coaches are emotional and passionate about the game. Go and shoot something in the stadium with the players, write a script of some sort similar to what we did in 2006, and bring back the emotion and stop with the graphics. I know they can do it because the best tunnel walk of all time was produced completely in house by the Huskervision full timers in 2006.
  18. If you think that then fine, but frankly I think a lot of people are overblowing this past game. You would think they gave up 400 yards of offense and 28-35 points they way everyone is griping, when in fact they only gave up 260 yards of offense and 13 points total. On top of that they only gave up 3 points and 108 yards after half once the coaches started being more aggressive. The hate for the defense is just absurd. People need to chill out. You never, never judge a team based off one game. Anyone suddenly think Michigan is not a problem on our schedule because they got raped by Alabama? At this point it's almost like willful ignorance. Not only was it a first game, it was a first game against a team with NO FILM. Pap was reading So. Miss's version of Steve Sipple to get any idea on what they might be running. Translation: he had no freaking clue. Nobody did. Our second half adjustments worked like a charm. Their attack ground to a three-point halt. That's a good thing. By weak I meant mostly our lack of depth, I should have specified.
  19. For how weak our linebacking squad is, thats not a very good sign.
  20. MY question is what the hell happened with Anderson? I thought he was almost going to be a guaranteed starter at linebacker?
