  1. We're not ranked in the BCS either
  2. We should also have Thenarse back next year. Not sure who will start between Smith/Thenarse, but it's always good to have options. Either way, I doubt we'll be better next year. Dillard, Suh, Turner, O'Hanlon, and Asante have all played well (some ridiculously well) this year and there will be dropoff with their replacements. We'll still have an excellent defense, just not quite this excellent.
  3. I think it is WR Chevin Davis because Scout has him listed now as an official. If it isn't him that Rivals is talking about, then the Huskers have 10 officials visitors coming. Correct, it is WR Chevin Davis.
  4. I agree with starting Green right now so that he can begin to mature. But, I find it interesting that in every prediction you have the opposing team scoring more points with Lee as the starting QB. I realize the defense would likely be on the field more with Lee, but they haven't really shown issues with getting fatigued late in the game, despite having been on the field ALOT in all of our major games thus far. As a very young starter, Green is much more likely to be prone to turnovers than Lee is, especially as he has shown that he is more willing to take chances in the passing game. It seems to me that if we start Lee, we'll probably continue to have a bunch of low-scoring, ugly games where neither team can score due to our offensive ineptitude, but defensive prowess. If Green starts, we'll probably put more points on the board, but be more susceptible to giving up points due to turnovers. I'd personally take Green at this point. We would at least get some exciting football instead having to watch our offense go 3 and out all day.
  5. Last year we got Cody Green and Rex Burkhead. Both were Rivals 4 stars and well recruited. Recruiting-wise, we have much more difficulty recruiting high profile WRs recently (although Niles Paul was also a 4 star IIRC). If you're looking for 5 star players, we don't get many of those period.
  6. Rule has been updated since 2005. It's now 30%. And the way they calculate it should allow for the medical waiver. .3 * 12 games = 3.6 which rounds up to 4 or if we make the CCG, .3 * 13 games = 3.9 which also rounds up to 4 Reference: NCAA rules publication See section 14.2.4, specifically 14.2.4.3.6.2 Again, this has already been discussed in detail in other threads
  7. Yeah, I heard something about the drive being too long and not having enough time to make it here with other conflicts. Lubbock was easier to get to on the tight schedule. KSU game is the new target.
  8. Just a guess, but if you're about 30 miles from Lafayette, your ABC station is probably based out of Lafayette and you'll get the game. Enjoy!
  9. Like I said earlier in the thread and was repeated again another poster above me, for some reason ESPN let their contract with the Big 10 have a clause that requires ANY Big 10 game picked up to be available to everyone in the entire nation on either ABC, ESPN, or ESPN2. Therefore, everyone has to get AZ/Iowa on one of the channels. Because, you know, the Big 10 is the best conference in the country and everyone needs to see their games
  10. does justin.tv require installing any software? I don't believe so. Not beyond your typical Flash player that you need for many websites.
  11. Get a hold of a computer geek and he'll have that game on your TV screen in no time . I use a wireless network to stream the game onto my laptop and use S-video to connect my laptop to my TV. Most desktops can also be adapted to plug into TVs with the right cabling. As far as the ESPN360 software, I'm pretty sure it's safe. No guarantees, but there would be significant uproar is someone had detected adware/malware in their software. I ran it through a virus check before I downloaded it and it came up clear.
  12. No kidding. Just look at Louisiana. Why is there a blue splotch in the middle of the state? I mean if I lived there I'd be thinking AWESOME, we're the one city in LA getting Nebraska/VT, but why? And Florida just looks like someone grabbed a paintbrush, swiped a couple times across the state, and then said. "I think we'll show USC vs. Washington right here, but NE/VT on both sides of it." I heard that has something to do with the Big 11's contract with ESPN. Apparently, any game that ESPN carries from them has to be available nationally. Therefore, everyone who doesn't get Az/Iowa on ABC gets in on ESPN2. Pretty lousy for the majority of the people in the USC/Wash area that would rather see Nebraska vs Viriginia Tech.
  13. Yep, me too. One of the main reasons I pay for Comcast internet. But since my tv is hooked to my computer, it doesn't make much of a difference to me if I get it on ABC or not.
  14. This is a pretty good synopsis from a VT site: Source: Linky Essentially, if you live in PAC-10 regions other than Arizona, you probably won't get the game unless you order it from gameplan. Everyone else will get it on either ABC or ESPN2. As a note, all ESPN games are shown on ESPN360 at espn360.com, so if you can't watch it on TV, you should be able to stream it from the net. If you have high-speed internet and a few cables to run between your TV and computer, this can be almost as good as getting it on TV.
  15. I think Bradford has a good chance to fully recover if he's not rushed back. Gresham, on the other hand, is out for the year. If Bradford is healthy, I'm not really liking our chances against OU, but my opinion could easily change with a good shellacking of VT and Mizzou
  16. Green's not going to take over until he learns more of the playbook. He may be the more gifted athlete, but Watson's not going to try to beat VT, Mizzou, Kansas, and Oklahoma with 15 plays on offense.
  17. lol Seriously, though Wyoming beat Weber State (it was close though). Living right off "Wildcat Blvd" in Ogden, the "Weeble" faithful are pretty excited about their football team. Wyoming is terrible, but Weber State has high hopes for their I-AA (or FCS) team.
