  1. That was before they were done building it and filling it with the bodies of those who died during the construction. Now you can see it from space! "Your persian scouts supplied the mortar" -300 I don't care what offensive line our defensive line goes up against. There is not a d-line in the country that I would trade ours for right now. Like many others have said, if you double Suh, it WILL open up the line for our other three defensive linemen. Don't get it twisted, Crick is a monster as well, he is just being eclipsed right now by the shadow of Suh. If our d-line can penetrate with just a four man rush, texas tech will have a LOOOOONG day in Lincoln. Also, with everyone's focus seeming to be on Suh, look for another player to step up and have a huge day as well. Suh will still dominate, but I can see another defensive player having a monster day.
  2. That Tech fan probably won't be having such an attitude after we tattoo them a couple times this weekend. Suh will put Sheffield/Potts into the ground time and time again. Just wait. If you think that 6'7 340 pound tub of fat is going to hold Suh back, you're high as f#*k. By the way... what's with the makeup? Is that SERIOUSLY an attempt to be intimidating?
  3. :rollin "Goes back in time"... absolutely hilarious
  4. Ganz is still playing PS2 on game day. Come on MUTiger... he's still playing the free XBOX360 he got from the Cotton Bowl in 06.
  5. I was thinking about it, and if Suh somehow pulls out a win and gets the heisman (granted, he has to perform on this level ALL YEAR, which I have no doubt he will continue to do), or even earns a trip to new york, it could possibly be the turning point in the heisman scenario. If a Defensive Tackle wins the heisman, it may change how the espn garbage voters look at it. So rather than only looking at great qbs and rbs on great teams, they may actually evaluate the year and look at the best players that had the greatest impact week in and week out, rather than just looking at qb numbers and running back stats. So even if Suh doesn't win the heisman, this could be a turning point in the ridiculous direction the hypesman is taking and has been for the past 5-10 years. Go Big Red! Go Big Suh!!
  6. Houston is currently #1 in Total Offense. TTU is #2. And if you look at who they've played, it's not that hard to see why. Aside from UT (#4 in Total Defense and #16 in Scoring Defense), everyone else is in the lower half. K-State #53 (#66 in Scoring Defense) Houston #111 (#98 in Scoring Defense) Rice #115 (#120 in Scoring Defense) North Dakota (FCS Team--no ranking could be found) Whereas NU is currently: #13 in Total Defense (#3 in Big 12) #14 in Pass Defense (#1 in Big 12) #3 in Pass Efficiency Defense (#1 in Big 12) #33 in Rushing Defense (#5 in Big 12) #2 in Scoring Defense (#3 in Big 12) T-34 in Sacks T-51 for Tackles for Loss Think you may have a typo there lol We're #2 nationally, #1 in the big 12. Its kind of impossible for us to be 3rd in the big 12 but 2 nationally in scoring d
  7. Impressive and thoughtful analysis. You must be the #1 ANALyst on this board. Good lord Raider man....... That avatar is amazing!
  8. Seriously... it comes from our constant drive to be #1 in absolutely EVERYTHING! You give Nebraska fans a poll with continuous voting and you can count out anyone/thing else competing against the scarlet and cream, because it doesn't stand a chance in hell! By the way, I love the comment from the guy about the automated mouse clicker! Freaking FANTASTIC!
  9. hahahaha Suh already caught Bradford and he's been on there for like 5 minutes
  10. When they drop back quickly and get rid of the ball, there isn't time for the deep ball pass. And their offensive line is not good... NOTHING compared to our defensive line. Watch for NU to shut down this "vaunted" pass offense. They haven't played anyone yet, except Texas (and Texas very well may be overrated). Don't freak out so much. Our defense IS IMPROVED and will be just fine. Pelini is the master of shutting down the spread and our Pass D is gaining more and more confidence every week.
  11. This is the only problem I have. And it makes me so glad when teams absolutely trounce tech and take a turn letting them taste their own medicine. Texas Tech is a joke. With that gimmicky offense and consistently bad defenses, they will always finish in the bottom half of the big 12 south... year after year. Even in their best year as a football team, they got destroyed by a team in the same division.
  12. I think the coaches know what they're doing and have the best players on special teams. Can't have your playmakers out there on kick coverage blowing out knees when they're needed every down. And yes... we've only given up ONE good kickoff return the whole year, I think we're going to be fine in that aspect. Don't have a freak out yet.
  13. Cyclones roll up over 500 yards of offense on Kansas AT KANSAS.... KU barely pulls off a win against a garbage Iowa State team. Jayhawker... how confident are you feeling about that game now? Our defense just MIGHT be a little better than ISUs... be afraid
  14. Make it 15 boys... We had better watch out though, that ISU team is gooooooooooooood. Putting up a fight with Kansas, we don't stand a chance.
  15. No they weren't. They did a great job all night long. I love NU fans think every comment from every commentator HAS to be 100% pro NU. When they get back to playing like NU should play, we'll hear those comments. Until then, we will continue to hear what we hear. There isn't any type of plan by the media (ESPN and ABC included) to trash NU.
  16. Well I'm not one of those classy Husker fans. I call it like I see it. Pinkel is an arrogant a$$, his players are cheap shot bush leaguers and I wish we had a physical offense and could have doubled up on those 27 points. Yep... normal guy.... Is that Chase Daniel hiding behind that computer screen? "bush leaguers"
  17. Yeah, they only scored 35 last year and we return the same O. you're probably right. Yeah & you guys scored 35 on Southern Mississippi too yeah, and they have a statistically better D than UNL has. I think you possibly might have forgotten who Southern Miss has played... and who your Jayhawks have played. Playing Northern Colorado, UTEP, Duke and Southern Miss and allowing 54 points as opposed to the Huskers having played Virginia Tech, FAU, ASU, ULL and Mizzou and only allowing 40 points isn't exactly grounds for you to talk up your defense considering we've allowed 2 less touchdowns in one more game. And we've played two tough teams on the road in hostile environments. By the way, the southern miss team with a "statistically better d than unl" has played ALCORN STATE... ever heard of em? UCF, Virginia, you guys and LOST TO UAB! Don't get too high on how good your team is just yet. You'll be tested in the big 12 and then you can come back and try to talk about how our defense isn't good and mizzou has a bad offense. You're high if you think Mizzou isn't a decent offensive team. Oh.. and our team welcomes the road challenge. Remember, we owned that stadium in Lawrence, "Memorial Stadium south" for decades... it will happen again. Count on it.
  18. Seriously. What the hell. I know you guys are just blowing off steam, but this is a kid playing a game he gave his heart and soul to. Let's show some respect for his effort. You don't kick a man when he's down, especially if you've got an N on your gear. That's not what we're about. I think it's pretty clear that this game was a knock down drag em out game and these kids put their hearts into it. I did feel for the kid when they showed him. If you have never been in a position where you've poured your heart into something only to see it not work out for you, you know how he feels. AND HELL... WE ALL SHOULD! We just experienced it 3 weeks ago! People need to get a grip that this was most likely an 18-20 year old KID. By the way, to the poster who said he had given up and quit.... yes there was 1:23 left, but we had just gotten the ball to their 10 yard line and were about to drive it in again. The game was over. And like Knapplc said.. you don't kick 'em when they're down.
  19. GO HUSKERS!!! LET'S GET IT!!
