Ron Brown Returns to Nebraska as Director of Player Development
broganreynik replied to Mavric's topic in Husker Football
His units at Nebraska always seemed to excel, so I liked that about him as a coach. Then there’s the other stuff. Without the coaching, I’m worried about how much of the other stuff there will be. -
Who's Smarter: Scott Frost or Peyton Manning?
broganreynik replied to Mavric's topic in Husker Football
I was 100% Frost on this question, until my wife pointed out that he looks like my father’s brother’s nephew. -
Frost on Social Media Posts by Recruits
broganreynik replied to Mavric's topic in Football Recruiting
I don’t want to derail the thread with my personal beliefs, but I think it’s probably best to just have a blanket stance on all guns. -
As long as he submits for credentials, he should be able to go to any college football game. I have to think he phrased it poorly; the two thoughts were one and the same. “Hey! I can’t get you into the game, so piss off!”

I would say the fact that his Reddit account was MMF means he’s a sharer not a cuck. (There’s nothing inherently wrong with being either. Using “cuck” as a derogatory term says more about the person using it than the subject).

Should the position be called Duck-R or Husk-R
broganreynik replied to StPaulHusker's topic in Husker Football
I like Duck. It’s like a wingback, except the rest of the duck is included too. You just have to make sure you find someone who fits the bill. -
Uh oh

I guess you can’t be choking on them if they’re soft. -

I highly doubt the “rising stars” are going to be willing to sit out a year, which is what they would still have to do.

I'd like to switch back to broganreynik

Athlon Rates Frost as the Seventh-Best Coach in the B1G

Jesus. I can’t believe I did that. It usually drives me nuts too! -
Athlon Rates Frost as the Seventh-Best Coach in the B1G
broganreynik replied to Mavric's topic in Husker Football
No. I was not saying he isn’t as good. I was saying he is the best coach for Nebraska. I don’t think he’s the best coach in the league... yet. I wouldn’t trade him for any other coach in the country, but he’s done exactly nothing in the Big Ten. You can’t just plop someone at the #2 spot for going 13-0 at UCF when other coaches have already proven their mettle at the Power 5 level. I personally think he’s top three, but that’s not being objective. -
Where will Lebron James play next season

In Cleveland... at tight end for the Browns. -

It’s one thing to have an incentivized system for the Blackshirts. But for the love of God, stop saying it’s restoring the tradition. It’s not.

Athlon Rates Frost as the Seventh-Best Coach in the B1G
broganreynik replied to Mavric's topic in Husker Football
Don’t get me wrong; I’m a huge fan of Frost and don’t think there was a better candidate out there. That being said, he hasn’t proven himself as a head coach at the P5 level yet. Objectively speaking, that puts him lower on the list. 1. Meyer 2. Franklin 3. Chryst 4. Dantonio 5. Ferentz 6. Harbaugh 7. Fitzgerald 8. Frost 9. Brohm 10. Fleck 11. Allen 12. Durkin 13. Smith 14. Being the best coach for Nebraska does not mean he’s the best coach in the B1G. -
It’s not inherent that he would only stay for one year.

My mom has a dog named Ndomika. I guess she needed to change the end since it’s a girl? I had a rabbit named Calvin when I was a kid. I remember my mom telling me rabbits are fast and I said “like Calvin Jones!!” I had actually forgotten about that until just now. My first memory of seeing a Husker game was the ‘93 Orange Bowl vs. Florida State. Evidently I had been watching before that. Thanks for the reminder!!
