  1. I see how it is. I post the same link and story 2 hours earlier and only 2 people respond. Geez. Haha just messing. I'm so pumped from last night, what a great win.
  2. Not that this is too shocking since he had a story about in the pre-season, but Andy Staples is saying he would vote Suh for the Heisman right now. http://www.fannation.com/si_blogs/from_scr...red-for-heisman
  3. Not to mention the 5 helmet to helmet hits that Mizzou had before they finally called that one on the option Zac Lee pitched it.
  4. I think that's perfectly fine. Hell at the stadium my wife and I were hugging eachother and people around us we didn't even know. (Except for the CU fan who just sat there like someone killed his puppy.)
  5. There are two people I know that drive me crazy when they do this. When Nebraska may not be moving the ball as well as they would like they'll say "Jesus, we should've kept Callahan". My dad said that a lot last year, but this year he's coming around. Also my college roommate, who until then (2006) didn't watch football because he's from Guatemala, will say things if Zac Lee comes out that Cody Green can't be good because he's black, and black guys aren't good quarterbacks. So then I have to tell him that the best college quarterback of all-time, Tommie Frazier, was black. So then he goes and every time Zac Lee throws an incompletion, he texts me that we need to put Cody Green in, because he's better. It's kind of aggravating. Either that, or when I watch games with my in-laws, they turn the sound off and listen to the radio, because the "tv announcers are biased". I don't have a problem with that, except that there's a tape delay on the tv, so you hear everything before you see it.
  6. I'm a female Husker fan and think your reply is classless. On the classless part, not being a female.
  7. Nah, that's a shirt that should be saved for K-State. cut him some slack. He can use it for both, we are in a recession... Haha, now there's some thinkin'.
  8. That NU team has 14 players on the field Pretty sure that's 15.
  9. Front: I though I saw Suh get a puddy tat. Back: He did! Suh did get a puddy tat.
  10. Well this is the same guy who predicted us winning by only 4 to Arkansas State.
  11. We got the throwbacks we wanted, so what's the point of tweaking the standard unis? They are perfect the way they are. I know they aren't exactly flashy, (which is perfectly fine with me) but why would we want them to look even blander? I'm sure this is really high on TO's priority list, right up there with bringing back the all red socks! haha, I was just telling my wife last night that we should bring back the red socks.
  12. ESPN shoved Miami down everyone's throats so much to the point that people think they're a better team, despite losing by 23 more points.
  13. I dunno if they still do it, but I liked how San Jose State took it a step further, and instead of the names on the back of their jerseys, they just had "SPARTANS". I'm not saying the Huskers should do that, but I think that's a pretty cool idea to help promote a team. For a team like that I think it could help. I don't think the Huskers need a gimmick to buy into the concept of a team though. Leave that for Penn State, lol.
  14. I love how the difference between #6 and #23 is a point on the road. Yet the difference between #6 and #17 is 24 points on the road. Freakin' ridiculous. Although it has no bearing on the actual season, CFN's rankings have us at #6. I'll admit that's too high, but at least we're getting love somewhere.
  15. I was off by one freakin' point last week. Anyways, here goes: NU: 38 MU:13 Rushing: 178 Passing: 324
  16. Virginia Tech will probably be pushed up to around #6-8, and we'll probably still be #21-#24. So the difference between #6 and #21 is one point on the road. I know there's a lot of parity, but we should be ranked much higher the way Virginia Tech is manhandling Miami, considering we dominated that game.
  17. He wasn't airborne so any rules stating that have no relevance to the play. If you're taking that route, then if someone with feet planted catches the ball, has clear possession, then falls on his butt and drops it, that's not a catch? The fall doesn't have to do with the catch, because he didn't have to return to the ground, he was already there when he caught it. It was definitely a touchdown. He caught the ball and had a foot in the endzone. Touchdown. If he wasn't airborne, those rules don't apply, therefore the fall doesn't matter.
  18. Anyone blaming West on that play obviously doesn't understand how a cover 2 zone defense works. As much as it sucked, it didn't cost us the game. The horrible pass rush on the touchdown is what did. Or maybe that penalty that cost us yards AND time on the second to last play of the game. All in all, we played a horrible game in regards to our pass offense, and still almost won. If Zac Lee can get back on his horse, I'm pretty confident in our team, and honestly think we could win out.
  19. Rattlesnake Boys (NU)-31 Va. Tech-21 Passing Yards-294 Rushing Yards-163 Go Big Red!!
  20. Not that Lee Corso is the best source, but he was on the Jim Rome show last year and Romey asked him who were the best fans in college football. He said he had to say Virginia Tech, because one time when they were at Blacksburg for Gameday he picked against the Hokies and the crowd booed, and then his car was struck by lightning. He didn't know what a Hokie was, but apparently God was one of 'em. Then he said aside from Virginia Tech, Nebraska has the best fans in the country. So, I'd say it'll be a comparable atmosphere to Memorial Stadium, which obviously the guys are used to playing in.
