  1. Seriously, who give a s#!t who our rivalry is? Let's just get our team in order, then maybe we can worry about it.
  2. That's awesome I forgot about our new kicker. Can I add some low set bar objectives for the Ohio State game, because it sounds fun? 1. No unblocked running back coming out of the back field for a wide open catch, and running for 20 yards, before being touched by a defender. 2. Limit the broken play wide open 40+ td pass to 2 3. Make them punt at lest 4 times 4. Keep them under 50, score at least 20
  3. I thought Luke Gifford was very good, unfortunately coaching changed and injuries hampered his NU career. He does play for the cowboys, so there's that. But to your point, yes the linebackers have been week. You could add a rush end to the list of "not haves" for the last so many years.
  4. It doesn't help that JD and Wandale go about 5.8-5.9. I so badly want to see highlights of Watts and Omar catching bombs in some of these highlights.
  5. I super hate this thread.
  6. Absolutely! I watched the whole game, and Breece Hall was amazing. This guys will be in the NFL, he reminds me a little of LeVeon Bell.
  7. I agree, and I am super stoked about the running backs. Its nice to have this kind of young talent and depth. I don't think we should look at it as leaning on Mills, if he looks like he did at the end of the year we should utilize him consistently. He is a big strong dude, and I feel he could have a Ozigbo type year. On a side note, and I know this is a RB thread, but have we ever been this stocked with talent at QB? Three legitimate four star guys, and they are all gifted athletically.
  8. There issues where similar early in the year, styles and experience differs greatly of course. My original point was that I would like Johnson to make some improvements in how he run the ball. He has great speed, but I don't think we saw him run utilizing that speed last year. Additionally, he seemed hesitant when looking for holes, which can happen when you are a freshman. Mills may have struggled early in the year on his reads, but he was usually running hard and the line blew.
  9. There is now way in hell this team wont be fired up to play football against "the ohio state".
  10. Me - Blue You - No its not blue, if you look closely you can see that blue is not a great, but good color. I am telling you the color is blue!
  11. He was a very good football player for us. He thrived when we had a healthy Martinez (not sure what he was last year), Stanley Morgan and Ozigbo. Even last year he made many great plays, and got destroyed on some of them. It is confusing why he left last the team and joined TCU, but to say he wasn't/isn't that good is just crazy.
  12. I wouldn't say I am down Johnson, I was just voicing my opinion on what I saw from his limited playing time. I am always rooting for all our players to succeed, and Johnson may turn out be our next great back, and that would be awesome!
  13. Sorry, are you asking my opinion of how I thought Mills looked in the first four games, or are you asking me this because his issues where similar to how I described Johnson's?
  14. I am with Big Ern on his ranking as of this moment, I didn't see anything special with Johnson when he played last year. Now, he didn't play much, but when he did he didn't show great vision or quick lateral movement. I realize I am nitpicking on a freshman, but I like to see a more natural ability to move fluid latterly, hitting holes and always be moving forward. With that being said, I am totally with you on Thompkins, I so hope he is healthy.
  15. I'm pretty excited to see how Mills looks this year. I was hard on that guy early in the year, which probably wasn't justified, being our line was pretty bad and we didn't have a guy to take over for what Stanley Morgan brought. I was watching some highlights of his runs later in the year, and there was a lot to like. He started to show more patience and stayed vertical, which allowed longer runs. Early on it appeared that he wanted to run everyone over. If he can make a speed jump like Ozigbo was able to do, he could be very, very good.
  16. It does suck, and I still don't get it. Anyway, moving forward, I think Wandale is a more well rounded version of JD, I was pretty vocal last year that I felt he should have been returning punts instead of JD. I am probably most excited to see Omar and Betts. Who else do we have, sorry I cant research as I am heading a conference call while reading Huskerboard. Am I the only one who does this. #huskernewsissometimesmoreinportantthanmyjob
  17. Not to derail the post, but why did McCaffrey leave exactly?
  18. Pretty sure nobody on this board didn't already know this to be the case. I am consistently shocked how many people want to continually give a rats a$$ what anyone else thinks about Nebraska football at this point. We have the right coach, recruiting has been getting better and we should start to see the effects of these efforts soon, maybe this year, but most likely next.
  19. Forde = Tool! I don't know why anyone would read anything he has written, EVER.
  20. God no! I apologize, I should have never said anything.
  21. Just to clarify, you are worried that one of his ex-girlfriends is going to send him a video of her with two other dudes, then he is going to keep it on his phone again? Interesting... If he is with friends and getting help in Nebraska, why cant he stay and get help? He's probably not ever going to be on the team again, but if we can help him, then we should do it.
  22. I loved Ronald Thompkins tape. I was watching a video of him running drills in practice last year and saw some Lawrence Phillips movements. Lawrence had this amazing ability to do a combination of a juke and shuffle, then take off. I saw Ronald was making similar movements. I would say his base is more balanced and stronger than Washington's. I am still bummed Washington couldn't get his act together, such a talent.
