  1. When was the last time we just RAN right AT them, rather than to the side?!?!?
  2. Yeeeaah, no. Sorry, but even the best secondary is going to have it's moments with guys like Broyles and Blackmon. Wasn't it that freshman though, that just got injured, that's really burning us?
  3. With how we're playing right now, what are the chances we win this game? Can we even getting in scoring range again without fumbling or throwing a pick?
  4. Im really sick of Watson not realizing the damn zone crap aint working against this speedy defense. if youre gonna run it run it, if youre gonna throw it throw it. This crap taking hours to develop is uncalled for and now the entire offensive unit looks frustrated with what theyre trying to accomplish. I dont care, Watsons time has come, it seemed end of first half even after Rex's long run he was preferring to run the clock out. :yeah :yeah :yeah :yeah :yeah I officially think Watson needs to leave.
  5. Don't they have that blue-chip recruit, Niklas Sade from the Carolinas? I thought he was 2 stars?
  6. When does our D-line start getting the necessary pressure? Landry has way too much time to throw. Do we start bringing in a blitz or what???
  7. :bonesflag: :bonesflag: :bonesflag: :bonesflag: :bonesflag: SHUT THEM DOWN!!!
  8. I do wonder how much we will depend on the Wildcat and how effective it will be against Oklahoma. It seems like the more it we run it, the less effective it might get. I'm sure OU has been prepping for it all week. I hope I'm wrong, but I don't know that it will be able to save us this week if we are forced to lean on it too heavily. I think, as you said, the play action pass needs to be our bread and butter. Martinez seems more accurate and calm in the pocket when throwing out of play action (assuming Martinez is the starter). Of course, to get them to bite on the play action, it again comes down to how effective the o-line is at keeping that run-game a threat. I also think too much Wildcat (and switching between qb's) hurts the o-line as far as tempo and rhythm (leading to penalties).
  9. If we get the running game going, I think we win this game. We seem to be hit and miss against good teams this year up front. We took care of manhandling Missouri and OSU, but have not been consistent all year, especially with penalties. How do our guys match up against Oklahoma's D-line? Can our guys open holes for Roy and Rex? Thanks for the insight - I really have no idea.
  10. I hope that was a bad, misguided joke. Try not to lump cool, athletic-minded, football-versed women in with a crazy woman like this. I don't lump you in with Dan Beebe just because you both have the same parts. K? Thanks.
  11. That would be one of my first arguments if I represented these guys. If their profiles cannot be accessed by the general public then this should not be an issue. If their profiles are open then that's a different story. On a side note, if the Big 12 suspends these guys, but leaves that junk-touching Aggie without suspension there are some serious serious problems. I need an upside down Big 12 sign to have as an emoticon here - can we get working on that?
  12. What did Taylor say that could of set him off like that? http://www.huskerboard.com/index.php?/topic/48849-pelini-obviously-yelled-most-of-the-game/
  13. This is either a saboteur or a moron. Either way I wish there was a minus button to click. Martinez was likely getting yelled at because Bo wants him to step up an be a leader and apparently he was hesitant about getting back into the game. Just because he's good doesn't mean he gets special treatment. And Bo did talk about his disappointment with the offense. Or at least he tried to. But almost all the questions were about the penalties, which was undeniably a HUGE part of the outcome. And if you watch football you would note that a lot of coaches yell, because it's an intense environment and an intense sport that is very easy to get wrapped up in. I would be more alarmed if he were calm. But if you honestly think Bo "comes across as an idiot" then might I suggest "Skating with the Stars"? From what I have heard Martinez wasnt listening to the medical staff and Bo was not happy about it. He had an attitude the whole time the staff was trying to help him. Now this is what someone told me that knows some players. Take it for what it is worth. I was wondering this same thing last night: http://www.huskerboard.com/index.php?/topic/48849-pelini-obviously-yelled-most-of-the-game/
  14. Don't suppose we'll see the Big 12 actually do something about this? http://www.aggieathletics.com/sports/m-footbl/mtt/jerodeddie_tony00.html Put a face to the name of this dirty player and (let's be frank) pretty disgusting kid.
  15. I'm not worried for the guy's mental or emotional health. He seemed pretty nonplussed about it. I was just curious what our starting QB did (which was obviously not related to game play since Green was on the field) to cause Bo to spew such words and saliva in Martinez's face. Call it curiosity, I suppose.
  16. I think it goes to coaching when, after working with these players this far into the season, you have that many penalties (and the formation, false start penalties seemed (just from watching on TV) to be legitimate. Not ALL of those penalties were, mind you, but some were. I think it's also on Watson to develop our back-ups into competent back-ups or to build enough strengh on offense so that the game doesn't rest on a single player's shoulders. Our problems were compounded for a variety of reasons tonight, but we seemed to have consistently struggled on offense without Martinez (last year, and this year when he was less than 100%). I think that kind of falls onto the offensive mastermind and coach. I'm not on the "FIRE WATSON" bandwagon by any means, but I think if you asked him, he would take a good portion of the responsibility for offensive shortcomings.
  17. when he was yelling at Martinez? He was obviously livid. He seemed (if possible) angrier at Martinez than he did when Cotton got called for those two, successive personal fouls. I know, at this point, anything anybody knows will probably be rumor or speculation, but does anyone have any thoughts?
  18. I completely agree. With the way our defense was playing, there's no doubt that they don't score points on that drive and we get the ball back with more time on the clock to run a more ground-based/comfortable offensive plan. That call was huge. And when looked at in conjunction with the picked up pass interference flag, etc., it speaks volumes.
  19. By the thread title, I thought you were going to be putting Cody Green down.
  20. Do we blame this one on the players' "fat little girlfriends?"
  21. I know techinically this tread is supposed to be about the world ending or something, but I just went to Shaggybevo.com and I feel a lot better now.....I highly recommend it for anyone who happens to be a little down right now...
