  1. I guess I have a problem with a "columnist" who has absolutely no Bio. The stuff I have read from this blogger called columnist is he bashes everyone. We should have a contest to see who can find out what College or University he attended or what qualifies him to rate teams, all I find is he lives in Chicago and is a contributing "Publisher" with CollegeFootballNews.com. Much like we are contributing to this board. Good luck and I agree 11-15 it about where I see them too.
  2. If not for the help of our Michigan brethren...we could not have accomplished this. GO BIG! or go home!
  3. I've had DirecTV for 9 years and I live in Omaha. The pricing is about the same for Cox, the biggest difference is you earn value points. They don't tell you about them but if you ask, they will offer you a deal. For example, I received a Sports package free for one year ($10.00 a month value), got $30.00 off my monthly bill for one year and received DVR service free for 2 years. They will do what they can to take care of you. Unlike Cox who could care less if you stay or go and the BTN is on the DirecTV standard package.
  4. I guess I have a problem with any Conference Commissioner talking about another school and their Athletic Director, no matter if they are with the conference or not, in a negative way. What is he 12. Childish and not much sportsmanship shown here.
  5. I'm glad my WalMart and JC Penny's cards are up to date.
  6. Really? What a moron..NU returning to the Big 12 because of the AAU, hilarious!
  7. "Not the victory but the action; Not the goal but the game; In the deed the glory."
  8. And Dez Bryant got what for lying about a dinner he had with Deon Sanders. Tressel did a lot more and maybe Dr.Tom did too. Does he get fire..I believe he has too, (Tressel), in the times we live in now. Johnny Rodgers robbed a gas station, Cam Newton stole a finals paper from his roommate and a laptop. Times have changed, the change comes from "How much do we tolerate" Your right, if we had a Wayback Machice we could go back and fix it. "Please Coach Devany, I don't want to be a petty thief anymore" College football is big business now and rules are rules, otherwise we have the nuts running the asylum.
  9. Let's not forget that "On Any Given Sunday" was developed from a script called "Monday Nights" written by Husker great Jamie Williams. You have to like it. Its in your blood to like all things Husker.
  10. You bring up an interesting time in Husker lore. TO had struggled to beat Oklahoma from the time he took over until that magic year 1978. He was not respected for his achievements on the field, after all beating up on Kansas and Iowa State was not what we wanted. I was upset that TO couldn't bring it home and the press crucified him. It got ugly and Dr. Tom had had enough and left for Colorado. I, like many my age, wanted him to go, but not really we just wanted that one win. We cussed in corners, hated the bandwagonning fans that worn Oklahoma gear just to piss us off, not unlike the local Teaxass fans now and had he left, OH my, I believe we would have drove to Colorado and put a bag on his head, tied him up and drove back to Lincoln and said "Your home now, just beat the Sooners!" As a Nebraska fan I can tell you that your Dad was not the minority at that time. But like all Nebraska fans, we love college football, Saturday mornings, gameday, walking over the bridge, seeing that Sea of Red coming to the stadium and knowing that no matter what, TO made the right and tough decision.
  11. The debate can go on. Here's a quote for the New York Times and a link to the story. This is not the CIC people, if they don't value our Agricultural research, good luck to every other A&M institute or anyone with USDA funding. "Although membership in the association — which now will have 61 members, including most Ivy League institutions and many of the top state schools, like Texas A&M and the University of North Carolina — brings no specific benefits, many campuses see it as a proud indicator of their status." "Brings no specific benefits" I am not saying this doesn't hurt, after all, it is a proud indicator of our status. http://www.nytimes.com/2011/05/03/education/03aau.html
  12. Asked my wife about this after reading the OWH announcement, or advertisement, however you want to look at it. Does this open the door to the OWH possibly holding back info in their articles so you have to visit HuskerIllustrated to read the rest? I can get all the recruiting news I need here. I can see it now...(Taylor Martinez looked like a leader in his win over..visit our paid site for the rest of the article) Any thoughts?
  13. Look what showed up on Pawn Stars. I had no idea the gold pants were charms. link http://www.putlocker.com/file/DJW6WMCEMA044S48
  14. I find this "argument" humorous. I have had discussions about this with a wide variety of age groups and it seems the younger the person is, the more likely they are to side with Sam Keller. My personal opinion is that this is a frivolous lawsuit and will only end up costing the people who buy games more money. I have to admit that I am a 53 year old gamer. I have 3 boys, 2 now men and one teen left at home. All of them enjoy gaming, even my grand children. You're right, do the players want to associated the character with their favorite player? Yes. Do you really think the character is that person? They are loosely based on them so you can relate to your favorite team. Should this lawsuit go on shouldn't the universities be able to sue, or the NCAA, for more money based on the popularity of the teams played? Florida gets more money than South Carolina for example because more people play as the Gators than the Gamecocks?. When does the entitlement stop?
  15. Did I miss something in this read? Did his coach for the game say he has to dumb it down for Bubba? That he is not at the level of the other quarterbacks on this team. (for passing routes)
  16. I went to a couple of games. The coaching didn't stink, Garcia did. He was a good draw for the crowd but to old to play. My son's high school team looked better.
  17. We can all sit around judging the decision making of the coaches. Watson is not my favorite OC and I am hard pressed to defend him. Bo's faith in Barney, Watson and Gilmore maybe missed placed, but what is OBVIOUS is that we need a Quarterback coach. Seriously, the decision making on Martinez is way behind where it should be after a season on the field. His throwing technique with his feet side by side and not one in front of the other is crazy. Watson clearly cannot coach technique, he is relying on athletic skill only. My son at least was taught technique in Peewee. Martinez could and will be a great player if they can teach him the mechanics, otherwise we are lost. And don't think the Big Ten won't take advantage of our small line-backing core, but that's another subject.
  18. Here's the email address, ask them kpursell@palmbeachsports.com
  19. try http://bigtentracker.com/ I don't know if it is posted yet. Just join, its free but you will need a client, I use Utorrent. PM me if you have any questions
  20. The only embarrassment was the nation seeing how bad Big 12 officiating is. Its a crime against the kids playing the game, if you have an issue with a coach, work it out, don't be one sided with penalties. Some of this group isn't old enough to remember a fiery red head throwing his headphones to the turf. Its football and Bo's passion is what this program needs.
  21. Dan Beebe just got extends?

    1. papersun87

      papersun87

Actually, Dan Beebe just got Extenze.

  22. I forgot, maybe the NCAA should investigate Ed Cunningham for encouraging his former coach from Washington (Gary Pinkel)to turn in a video to help advance his cause.
