Listening to S&B this morning, and Sharp references a "dumbass question" at Riley's last presser, and Benning makes note of Miles talking to the reporter in question after practice about it. Anyone might know who they're referencing? (It wasn't the student reporter).

The hubbub at the presser for Riley's termination was from a UNL student reporter asking Riley what it was like to be terminated. This follows on the heels of an earlier question from a Hail Varsity guy asking Riley if he would have fired himself (I think?) a week ago.
Emotions are pretty raw right now. Everyone, even the people who wanted Riley fired, are not happy that a good man didn't succeed at Nebraska. People are rising up to defend Riley, and that's a pretty neat sentiment.

@knapplc The Hail Varsity incident is what I think they were referring to. Any idea as to who asked that question?

Derek Peterson. Goes by the name @DrPetey15 on the Twitter.
He's a good dude, and I gather that question didn't come out exactly the way he intended. He has a good working relationship with Riley, and Hail Varsity isn't a rag full of hacks. I know a lot of people are upset with him, and he took a lot of heat on Twitter, but I'm definitely giving him the benefit of the doubt. He's no jerk.
