  1. Something I always say, and firmly believe, when this topic comes up: if Nebraska win's the national title in '93, we don't win it in '94.
  2. Honestly, in that scenario, he probably waits until '99; with all others being equal, if TO's on the sideline in '99, we have another national title.
  3. I gave Yellowstone a season and a half, but couldn't push any further. I need shows/movies/games where there's at least 1 person I can root for, and everyone in Yellowstone is absolutely awful; not even one Walter White-type character where you know they're the bad guy, but you can cheer for them. Alongside that, the writing is horrible, the acting is wooden by 90% of the cast, and by the point I got to, I wanted the super volcano under Yellowstone to erupt and end everyone.
  4. I mean, it certainly helped; he only got suspended for a year and half for gambling instead of getting thrown out of the league altogether.
  5. If this is the route we're going, go full-on UEFA and insert promotion and relegation.

Chiefs cut MVS today; they save $12 million in cap space by doing so. It's a logical move, and he had a rough regular season, but he came up huge for us in the past two playoffs. I hope he finds a good team.
  7. The most realistic scenario for Nebraska to play in Omaha is being the 10 in the West, although if they go on a run in the Big Ten tournament, the 7 in the West could be in play.
  8. I haven't had one in years; they used to be my dad and I's thing together.
  9. Wendy's has one of the best chicken sandwiches in the business, and those Frostys....but yea, this is highly stupid.

    Taylor Swift Affect in Effect.
  11. My thoughts on fixing the All Star game revolve around turning into a half court 3v3 tournament: - 8 top vote getters are captains - Draft a team of 3 from the 16 remaining All Stars - First round and Quarterfinals are on Saturday, with the skills competition - Semis and Finals are on Sunday, with the Dunk and 3 point contests - Winners get $1 million, 2nd place gets $750,000, 3rd $500,000 and taper down from there.
  12. He was NOT good. I enjoy his dad, but Jac was god awful at points.
  13. I normally enjoy Josh, but he's WWAAYY off on this assessment, and all of the doubling down he did on the radio yesterday.
  14. I don't know, man. Public pressure tends to have more weight to it than internal investigations, and if even half of what is being alleged is true, it's going to look real bad.
  15. If this is true, Williams absolutely deserves to be gone. Also, it makes me wonder how much blowback Trev gets for it.
  16. I literally always used More Different +1
  17. Oi, where'd my off-green +1 react emoji go?
  18. The shine on Gus Johnson wore off for me a lloonngg time ago. He tries to artificially inflate every moment in a game, regardless of impact or degree of difficulty. I swear he wouldn't know the word "nuance" if you slapped him in the face with the dictionary page its on.
  19. I get that Olsen can come off as biased (his call at the end of the Super Bowl last year annoyed me), but his enthusiasm for the game is infectious, and he does a good job breaking down what teams are doing in an easily digestible way. If he chooses to leave Fox after next year, he's going to make a lot of money.
  20. Kevin Harlan is the best in the business, IMO. I'm starting to come around to Chris Fowler as an NFL PbP guy, too; his call of KC's game winner in the SB was much better than Nantz's. Greg Olsen is the best color guy in the business, and it's a shame he's getting pushed out of his #1 role at Fox for Tom Brady.

    NFL 2023

KC's problems on offense this year were twofold: trying to fit in pieces at receiver that just didn't work, and Mahomes believing things were solely on his shoulders. The impetus for the Super Bowl run was the loss to the Raiders on Christmas: after that, Reid shortened the rotation at WR (thanks for helping us win a SB last year, Kadarius Toney, but enjoy free agency) and Pat learned that it wasn't all on him to win: he could lean on the best defense he's had while he's been in the league and become much more patient with his reads and throws. If KC can find a way to keep Chris Jones (verbal contracts are binding in Missouri, yes?) and L'Jarius Sneed, this defense could be even better next year.

It's only an 8 million jump from last year, so maybe?
