  1. I'm tired of bashing Niles so I'll say, "Good return for a TD Niles."
  2. I was getting ready to buy a new keyboard!!!
  3. I dont post very often but I feel compelled to do so over this thread. First I don't agree with fans attacking Niles or his family after the game, that was wrong on the fans part. And I would agree with most of you that the posts here are really not that bad compared to what they could be. Secondly, I can remember last season when Niles dropped a few balls in the ISU game and we as fans have dealt with his two alcohol offenses. Niles is a senior this season with aspirations of one day playing in the NFL. If he has any hopes of making it at the next level then he should learn to grow up pretty fast. We all know the NFL fans are nothing like college fans, they'll get real nasty with him. Stating in the media that you want more touches and having two offenses for alcohol demonstrates to me that he wants to act like an adult, or believes that he is. Then he should own up to his mistakes and be a man. If you're gonna stand infront of the spotlight and demand more balls come your way then be prepared for the backlash if you're not going to produce. With all of the criticism he has received over the years I can also remember being very happy with him catching an important pass or two against Mizzou and Arizona last year. I'm sure there were a few threads about him catching the pass against Arizona and flexing when he scored. I know I enjoyed it when he did it. In my opinion, its all relative...
  4. Thanks everyone, sorry I'm a little late in returning the thank you...
  5. Love it... would add a change to the back.. sorry i couldn't make it bigger its just the sched You could add to the front and say "Hey Big 12 (And Especially You Texas)" I love them, print em up and i'd buy a couple!!
  6. To get away from the mess Texas is making would be good for us. But one negative thing I see from all of this is that the regular husker fan will not travel as well as we have in the past. Obviously we are currently surrounded by fellow teams we play in the conference. But being in the Big 10 and having to travel to Michigan, Ohio St, or Penn St to play a game makes for a long weekend if you're not flying. Not to mention the travel cost. But if moving to the Big 10 could make us one of the kings of that conference, then I'm all for it. I just won't be traveling as much.
  7. I still like how he calls the Pelini brothers "Coach Bo" and "Coach Carl". Wish more players were as humble as he is.
  8. Word from a friend in the program says Green is getting a lot of attention from Watson, and rightly so. Green is apparently in Watsons back pocket. Even going to all of his workouts and keeping an extra close eye on him. We should expect to see good if not great things from him this season. We should keep in mind how poor our offensive line was last year also. Obviously with an improved o-line we can expect many more positive things to develop in the backfield, at the line of scrimmage and downfield as well. That just wasn't there last year, for either of the QB's. I like what knapplc said as far as who cares what the name is on the jersey, as long as they are producing and not turning the ball over...I'm on board with that.
  9. Easily my favorite Husker LB of all time. He just made opposing offenses look silly... I totally agree, Farley was a beast. He was great in the 95 season and set a trend for guys like Carlos Polk and Demario Williams of the future. Fast, tenacious linebackers who could cover a lot of ground. Does anyone remember what happend to Farley after he left the team? If memory serves, I thought he just went back to Mississippi or Alabama and was never heard from again. For a time I hung out with a number of the players back then, and a couple of weeks before Terrell got busted, a number of his teammates and I told him he shouldn't be drinkin and driving. In fact, Terrell was already in trouble with TO about drinking and driving before he got busted. We told him if TO finds out you're done for. His response was, "If any LPD pulls me over none of them cops are fast enough to catch me running." Well thats excatly what happened, he was so intoxicated that he pulled the car over and tried to run but couldn't and the cops caught him in a foot pursuit. I'll never forget him bragging that no cop in town could catch him. When Terrell left UNL he hired an agent. When he got off the plane in Atlanta GA the agent drove him to a Toyota dealership and said, pick out whatever you want. Terrel chose a Land Cruiser. I know he went through a few camps but never got on with any team in the pros. Thats the last I heard of him. I still keep in contact with a few of the players who were asociated with that group and none of them have heard from him. He was an outstanding player and had a hell of a sense of humor, but lacked any common sense whatsoever. Just thought I'd throw out that story about how I personally witnessed a player of his caliber go straight to the top while he was here, and then fall so far. For a person like me who never had his talent on the field it was very sad to see him pi$$ it all away. I could tell a ton of stories about Terrell and the dumb $hit he did. Thanks, he was easily one of my favorites although I can't exactly remember how long he was in Nebraska. He was a juco to begin with, and I don't really remember alot of hype about him before he arrived. The minute I saw him play, I knew he was "my" Husker. I had a jersey printed with Farley on it, which was a joke amoung my friends because my first name is Kris and when I wore it(all the time) they would reference me as"There's ole Chris Farley." Probably had to be there to find it funny but we sure did. Another funny story about Terrell, after the Fiesta Bowl and his famous sack of Wuerffel, when he came back to Lincoln he had a number of pictures printed up of him sacking Wuerffel. For the longest time he had a stack of these pictures that he carried everywhere with him and would autograph them in a moments notice. Often times you didn't even have to ask for one and he'd give it to you. I mean it was a good sized 8x10 picture. Needless to say I don't even have one anymore because at the time we all looked at it as more of a joke than anything, which was Terrells intent!

  11. Found some new information to the Gabbert incident http://www.columbiatribune.com/weblogs/behind-the-stripes/2010/feb/16/cleaning-up-some-facts/
  12. Sorry, hope everything goes well for you and your family.
  13. This is a great video showing a brief history of Husker Football. If you laugh and then cry at the end of this video then you're already a Husker Fan and didn't know it, Welcome to the Club!!!!
  14. I would almost rather not have all the hype and attention about what we could possibly do next year. Its great for the program, I understand that, but I think its just way too early for the national media to be forecasting what Nebraska will be like. There is still a lot of time left before next fall and we all know a lot of things can happen or change. Again, I love the attention. Wish we were a little more under the radar and could SUHprise a number of teams. I know I'm
