  1. I was thinking the same thing. I'd say the majority of those wins weren't games they had little trouble winning. The writer is obviously a Texas fan.
  2. Even despite Todd Collins throwing for 32 yards and 4 interceptions the Bears win against Carolina. Are we really 4-1? Honestly I'm not quite sure how.
  3. I feel sorry for this little kid. He literally has his heart broken in this pic. He's just a little kid!
  4. Are you saying you haven't seen Martinez chased down? It happened in the KSU game and in the WKU game, just off the top of my head. C'mon, when defenders have angles it can deny even the fastest of players. But if it is a straight footrace where Robinson or Martinez break through defenses, neither of those guys are being caught, which is why arguing the difference in their dynamic running ability is just silly. Both are incredible running QBs with outstanding speed. My original point was calling out Herbstreit for only mentioning that Robinson was his choice because he felt he had an advantage and could not be caught once in the open field. Thought I had said that before but anyway, again to make that statement and only mention Robinsons name is ridiculous. Plain and simple.
  5. I agree completely. TCU got a #1 vote? So did Boise State? Wow...
  6. Martinez had a run at the end of the first half where he went for 56 yards and was caught around the KSU 30 yard line. Drive ended in a FG. I think that's the play being referred to here. And yes, the defender had an angle, but that's the way most players are caught when they're running down the sideline. D Robinson hasn't been straight up caught from behind this season just like Martinez, but both have been caught by taking good angles. Taylor Martinez is the fastest quarterback in all of division 1 football. If others don't agree then that's fine by me. If Herbstreit (my point originally...) feels that mentioning only Robinson will not get caught once he has reached the second level and/or open field then sorry...won't agree with that.
  7. Did anyone else hear ol' Herbstreit on ESPN do the piece comparing Martinez and Denard Robinson? "I would give Denard Robinson more of an advantage, once he gets through that second level of a defense he's not going to be caught from behind." Herbie.... Link to video (on right side) Herbie: Comparing Martinez with Robinson http://espn.go.com/c...ska-cornhuskers Herbstreit says he would put Darron Thomas (of Oregon) ahead of both Martinez and Robinson. I'd post the double face palm pic but you get the picture. What is wrong with what he said? It is true that when Denard gets through the 2nd level, he will not be caught from behind. What is wrong with what he said??? I've seen both of these guys play. Martinez is easily the most explosive quarterback running wise in all of college football. I've seen Robinson get caught from behind several times this season on break away runs. Martinez? Umm, the guy flat out outruns entire defenses. Implying that only Robinson won't get caught from behind once he reaches the second level is flat out ridiculous. Really? Because KSU caught T-Mart from behind on a breakaway run on Thursday. I thought for sure he was going to score, but he ran out of gas and got caught. hahaha. How silly of me. You're right. I must have been watching a different game. My bad.
  8. FYI Robinson is a sophomore, Martinez is a frosh. Same recruiting class but TM redshirted. Yeah I caught that. I still never seem to agree with Herbstreit and find a lot of his observations absurd.
  9. Furthermore regarding Herbie's little video Darron Thomas so far this season has done well passing. He's thrown for 1200 yards in six games but compared with Martinez and Robinson in 6 games he only has 200 yards rushing. Not quite the dual threat that Robinson is at least. I'm going with Denard Robinson if you want to get into an argument of 'best overall' quarterback.

  12. When I checked 2 months ago Nebraska was not even listed on either Rivals or Scout as being one of the teams interested in him. I thought how in the heck could you ignore him after watching his highlight reel! He needs an offer!
  13. I still think Oregon will lose. OSU could still lose as well. It's still hard for me to justify Boise St. and TCU as being top 5 teams given their schedules. It's too early to tell what will happen since there are a lot of games left to be played. Anything can happen. Just ask Alabama.
  14. Even with the loss today Alabama is still one of my top 5 teams. With the way the season could play out and more importantly the BCS rankings it's not a stretch to say Alabama is out of it as far as the national championship goes either. I really wish that weren't true but if at the end of the season there's a log jam of top ranked teams with 1 loss or several with no losses then once again we will get bit by this POS that is the BCS standings. The worst invention in the history of college football.
  15. Wow. Just turned on the Alabama-South Carolina game. Can't believe it's 21-9 South Carolina! Alabama just missed the extra point!!!
  16. We had them bent over pretty much the entire game but I have no idea when that particular pic was taken.
  17. From what I have seen, they aren't really much of an offense either. Yea, they scored a lot, but against who? With how we play on the road, we will absolutely destroy them. They're averaging 52 points a game and honestly pretty much every school in the Big 12 could say the same thing as far as who they've played so far.
  18. From what I've seen so far. OSU=good offense. Defense- mmm not so much.
  19. I agree the whole f*ck Nebraska chant that was going on in pregame was dumb. Also they were flat out nasty to me and my 2 KSU friends. It was so bad that 1 of my KSU fans friend left after the first quarter and wrote a letter to the dean of the school. Wow.
  20. It also could have been this video. It's in English unlike the other one.
