    Well, theyre puttin the cart way ahead of the horse. We need to get us a BigTen championship first and foremost. While we all want to say we're still Nebraska, the hard truth is that there's simply no room for national championship talk at this point. Well that's kind of obvious but playing for national championships is and should still be the ultimate goal.

    They didn't see Ohio State winning the National Championship either. They didn't see fewer than 3 teams from the SEC making the playoffs, too. No one saw OSU doing what they did. OSU had all of the pieces of the puzzle there though namely in the recruiting classes they put together.

    Was just watching ESPN since I have the day off and on their college football recruiting show they basically said while Riley is the complete opposite of Pelini they didn't see him taking the program to a national championship level. Ouch.

    I miss the days of 1's vs 1's but with the newness of the staff they'll still probably be evaluating the depth chart. Light scrimmage sounds super lame.

    Why would anyone trust the previous staff make competent decisions especially when it comes to evaluating talent in the first place? Bo was and will always be an idiot and his brother from another mother Beck showed time and again he wasn't as smart as he thought also.

    OSU is the obvious pick for pre-season #1 this year and when the real preseason rankings come out they will be. To me it's TCU at #2 and the rest is a crap shoot.

    Callahan got the ball rolling with overlooking the talent in the state of Nebraska. A lot of those key players from Osborne's teams in the 80's and 90's came from Cozad and small towns of the like. I never bought that suddenly the talent in the state somehow diminished. Even if Riley can pick up the in state recruiting again he still needs to not only spot but also develop that talent regardless.

    Yeah I can't stand Elway either. I like Peyton but I hated watching him in Indianapolis even worse than I do now that he's in Denver. That dink and dunk offense. Reggie Wayne with the 15 yard catch! Woo hoo! Over and over and over and over again. B o r i n g.

    I had no idea who that dude was until he just showed up on ESPN one day and now he's one of their main college basketball analysts. Instant change of channel anytime I see him on air.
