If you swap QBs in this game we blow them out and not just at the end of the game. It would have been start to finish massacre. I think if we even have a average QB we blow them out.

That makes sense. This defense is definitely not that level but I can't remember a better one since then. And it's not like we have an abundance of talent there.

Colorado has the best offense we will face this year in scheme and personnel. Maybe Michigan is close and Maryland has some of that but neither are as good as what we saw today. The rest of what we will face will be in a different category all together.

Well tbf Alabama beat them last year. It just felt like a win for Texas because they had a shot at it. Bama is however like 34-1 at home or something like that in their last 35 games and that one loss is to the 2019 LSU tigers.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing. Duggan just had poise and made plays at the end of the game all last year when needed. Having Quentin Johnson probably helped though.

Considering they won 5 games the year before yes I'd say it's not crazy to say TCU is not a team that is deep enough to handle losing that many players

Sonny Dykes was there at TCU for one off-season before last year and inherited a lot of draft level talents that are gone now. TCU is not an elite recruiter that has players to replace them with in one year. It's more a question of if their defense was a fluke last year or not. Dykes is a good offensive coach but even their offense took a hit this year with a downgrade at QB and losing 2 WRs and a HB and a G to the draft.

It's not like we we had a comfortable lead at any point vs Minnesota and they stuck with it. Colorado has a good OC and some skill players but TCU is not a school that recruits well and just lost players from every level of their defense to the draft.

We ran the ball 37 times for 4.9 ypc for Minnesota. That was not the issue. Minnesota is a tougher defense to run vs than Colorado.

Did y'all forget the beginning of the year last season when Thompson under threw deep ball after deep ball to a wide open Palmer? He nailed it in the Purdue and Iowa game but there is no way you are going to say that you take a single deep throw and Casey would for sure hit it. I'm pretty sure he missed a deep ball that was easier to hit in game 1 vs northwestern.
