  1. According to this logic we should have lost to Washington, especially without dennard. Wilson is a better qb and Wisconsin has a punishing offensive line and running game. Prince has the most td passes in the league. I'm not saying wilson isn't better but I don't think there is that large of a gap. Also, their o line has not been tested yet, so we will see if they have a "punishing' offensive line.

  3. Yeah, In my opinion I do think it is stupid, or unnecessary, or annoying (whatever gets the point across to you) to make a prediction, predicting a husker loss based off of what we've seen so far, this season. Due to the fact that there is not enough information (IMO) to predict a husker loss, I make the assumption that you are just choosing to be pessimistic, which is stupid to me (I think many would agree). On a side note, I'm sure plenty of people at clemson were predicting a loss to auburn after a close game to WOFFORD. I guess they didn't have enough information, based off of the first couple of games, to really know the caliber of team they have.
  4. Haha...I could say with just as much reason that it's hard to believe anyone would pick wisconsin to win due to sheer lack of competition. Point is, we don't know enough yet, for either team. So it's stupid to me to make a prediction forecasting a nebraska loss when we don't know enough yet...again, to me, that would be a pessimistic, unfounded opinion.
  5. Perhaps. But NU is wildly over rated. I see Wisconsin scoring between 34-48 points and the Huskers somewhere between 14-24 points. The closest we can expect would be a 10 point differential --- and a worst-case scenario is we lose by 35 points or so. I see it somewhere in between, maybe 34-17 or 37-20 or so. Of course I will root for a win and hope for the best... but I expect this to be somewhere between a solid Wisconsin win and a Wisconsin blowout. Yawn...Another pessimistic, unfounded opinion. Keep them to yourself. I suppose you're one of those that said were going to lose to washington too.
  6. The reason the student section was chanting that is because the cheerleaders were holding signs that said can't be beat, won't be beat and lifting the first or the latter up periodically. So, If you're going to blame anyone for that one, blame the cheerleaders.
  7. IIRC, Wisconsin had about 15 guys out during the week with the flu. I think I recall a story about two of them puking on the bus ride to the stadium. It was a tough game for us. But as we all know, the transitive property in college football is very weak, especially when separated by two seasons. http://host.madison.com/sports/college/football/article_c0d91c2a-9ed7-11de-b207-001cc4c002e0.html Sooo...What about the other two games?
  8. Definitely didn't mean to give you a +1 because I disagree.
  9. Yeah, because you can clearly tell that from the competition that they've had. False.
  10. It can't be that hard to at least make all the borders red...can it?
  11. HAHAHAHA...love memebase.com
  12. Canes is a franchise, you can eat there in like 25 states.
  13. Lazlos or the Oven if you like indian food. After the game, stop by cliffs for a kamikaze or 3... p.s. ali babas has the best kabobs and gourmet grill (right next door) has the best gyros so it depends on what you want.
  14. Seriously, what an annoying post. I understand being a "realist" but predicting that we will lose 5-6 games after the first 2 games is just stupid. Why don't you wait a couple more games before you start making such farfetched predictions. This is pure pessimism if you ask me. I think you will eat your words. I've been following huskerboard since Bo became coach and every year, no matter what, it is predicted that we will lose a specific game or lose a certain amount of games and every year you're wrong a good amount of the time. Specifically, I remember the 09 oklahoma game, pretty much every single person predicted a loss along with a .500 season and they all were wrong. You're way too emotional about this; do really well one game and were going to win all of them or do not so well another game and were a horrible football team and were going to lose half of our games. Just like this annoying post states. WE will make adjustments and be better game 3 and continue to throughout the season. I'm not saying were going to win them all but I also do not think that there is a game on our schedule that we can't win. Have some faith in our team, coaches and wait til we actually lose a game before you start making such an outlandish prediction.
  15. I gotta admit that I try to think, but sometimes my brain just goes haywire. Case in point, this and this, where I badly ganked up the topic being discussed. Maybe it's the drinking. Or maybe I should drink more. HAHAHA definitely the latter!
  16. I know this kid personally and know that he is one of the strongest players, in terms of weight room attributes, on the team. Whether that will play out on the field will be seen...
  17. Hawaii was never a part of the original comparison. It was wisconsin's schedule (so far) vs. nebraska's.
  18. HAHA...ARE you kidding me? Where the H do you get that unfounded opinion?? Oregon State lost to Sacramento St who just lost to Southern Utah last week AND uNlv got spanked by Washington State (who has been at the bottom of the pac 12 totem poll for some time) by more than Wisconsin beat them. So YEAH, I'd say we have had a tougher schedule. Do a little research. Exactly. It's not even close. I think it's funny that right before that comment I said that someone will find a negative way to spin it and sure enough, the next comment, someone makes a completely uneducated statement to put a negative spin on it.

  20. Hmmmmm...that IS interesting. Don't worry, I'm sure several of the hb members will find a way to put a negative spin on it...
  21. Yawwwwwn...more Nebraska fans over reacting because of our firs two games. Why don't you wait until we get into conference play or see how we play against Washington before you automatically assume were not a top 10 team. Why would you assume the worst? And Carlfense allll your post have the same theme, pessimism. No, I didn't say realism because to be realistic it would require you to see several more games before you say that were not a top shelf team.
  22. Not that it's necessarily indicative of anything, and I know it's two years later etc. etc. I just found it interesting. On Sept 12th of 2009 Wisconsin barely squeaked out with a win in Madison, winning in OT 34-31 to Fresno St.
  23. It is a long, old, boring pattern. Cynicism, criticism, and personal attacks when anyone disagrees. Yawn. And yet I'm not banned, not warned, etc. Must not be breaking board rules. And your pattern of children's logic gets old, too. As exemplified by the downgrading of Oregon State's win over #1 USC simply to fit what you seem to think is a logical argument. lol Wait, I thought you had more amusing things to do? Bottom line is THIS YEAR, fresno st has upheld their reputation of being a great, well coached, resilient road squad while Oregon State, THIS YEAR, has not. I'm not quite sure losing by 15 to Cal puts them into the resiliant road squad this year column. If they hang with Boise State later on this year, I'll jump on the Fresno bandwagon. In comparison to Oregon State, losing to Sacramento State...
