They got to pick it up. HS recruiting will be finished by the summer for most. We should have 3-4 more commits currently.

To be honest, this commitment didn't make sense when it did. Nebraska is situated nicely to sign multiple top 250 WRs per class.

He's going to get up to 255lbs and have a monster senior year. His recruiting is about to blow up.

He's an absolute stud. His tape reminded me a little bit of Maurice Washington but at WR mixed with the explosion of a Xavier Worthy. He's much further along at WR than Jacory Barney was coming in and he will eventually be a co-starter if all things go according to plan.

as of an hour ago, recruiting writers like where Nebraska stands with Cortez.

I have always had to deal with this dichotomy of living in LA (born and raised) and loving Nebraska and following all the in-state and regional recruiting to the university. The last two weeks are a great example of how recruiting ranking can be deceiving. Ca kids are just better than every other state. 3 star kids would be high 4 to 5 stars anywhere else. Every year they travel to GA, TX, or Florida and kick their a$$. In terms of Iowa, this is why I get so mad to lose to them. I think they suck and cannot handle any athletic twitch that comes their way, and you watched it here. UCLA is incredibly undisciplined and far from a finished product and kicked their a$$ in the trenches, and made athletic plays when they needed to. How can I bring this back to Nebraska? I am not sure, but I would start by recruiting more twitch and maybe try to get back in CA with skill players.

The players allow this to be their identity. It's the softest program in the country.
