  1. I see what you're saying. All I can add to that is with the major change happening to CFB, it is imperative to be trending up, and they obviously felt they weren't so they made that move. Either way, this is good for us. Let them stand in uncertainty for a decade or so.
  2. Idk man, they have been trending down for years. I saw this coming about a year ago, and knew then this couldn't last. They're just not that talented. You can only develop so much. They missed on guys, and the line play has regressed on both sides. In addition, the WR and DB play was not up to par for the BIG. They were being outpaced by Indiana and Purdue in the regard. Hell, we are much better than them in those regards. And lastly, they have been benefitting a ton from their schedule. Once they started playing the better teams in the conference, the flaws were magnified.
  3. I know this is about who replaces Scott but... The next two to three years is going to be huge for the BIG. There is going to be a major coaching shift in the conference. We are witnessing Minnesota climb to the top of the West and by a good margin. Paul Chryst will not be around much longer, and who knows what happens to Wiscy from there (Leonard might get offered the job). I don't think Ferentz is guaranteed to be there in three years either because at some point, they're going to need to get out of purgatory with "imagining what it would look like with an offense". I think Bieliema is taking the Illini past Wisconsin and Iowa soon. Northwestern has completely flamed out, and I can see a world where Pat takes the money and opportunity somewhere else. Jeff Brohm might leave after this year for Louisville, his alma mater, as it seems they may be looking to move on from their current HC. Also, this might be my most controversial take, but I do not think Ryan Day is safe or that great of a HC. In the grand scheme of it, Ohio St isn't that good, and has dropped a notch or two since Urban left. They will probably squeak by a horrible BIG this year, but if they make it to the playoff, they will get curb stomped, and I think it will be very telling from there what will happen with him as the HC going forward. With USC and UCLA coming in, I can see it changing so much. It is incredible to say that Jim Harbaugh is the safest bet going forward. If they beat OSU this year, Day will be gone. This hire is crucial for Nebraska. If we get it right, we change the entire complexity of the conference. We have to get it right.
  4. What a waste of 4 years. Also, OU is not that good. Been saying it and that's why seeing our team quit with three quarters left and with a tied game is more alarming than anything I have seen.
  5. If I remember correctly, doesn't Aranda have an ungodly buyout number over 25 million?
  6. Lol I understand but what I am saying is that this will be a massive overhaul by the next HC. I am not saying Nebraska is bringing ten 5 stars with Urban in the first class, but I certainly could see 2-3 (HS & Transfer), and the rest being mostly 4 stars. His staff would consist of top notch dudes currently coaching right now, who would bring their guys over. Add the transfer portal, and he will bring in 10 highly rated guys easily. Before you know it, the number doesn't seem so far fetched. We are talking about Urban freaking Meyer, the man who changed the trajectory of the entire BIG conference by the way he recruited. Maybe that number is a bit wishful thinking but Nebraska lands in the top 10 if they hire him. I would guarantee it. And I would also guarantee 10-15 guys leaving the team next year who will have eligibility in 2023.
  7. It might be a slight stretch, but I have to imagine he would tell 15-20 guys to leave the program. It's a lot of open schollies.
  8. Combining the regular class and transfers... it's not that much of a fantasy. The dude would recruit 5 stars and get them. The recruiting class this year will end up being huge.
  9. No kidding. There is no rebuild with Urban. He will get 40 guys with 4-5 star status to take over immediately. He wouldn't come in with rebuild type talent.
  10. Yeah I envisioned him firing guys every other week. The tea leaves allude to a complete checking out by the coaches on D. I imagine Fisher and Dawson are next.
  11. Idk to who. I think Texas for sure, but OU is not that good. First year coaches will slip up and true freshman LB's will eventually get exposed. A few teams will play them well. Just watch. If I am wrong, well then I am, I don't care lol.
  12. I am so pissed off still. I was irate all day yesterday.
  13. And most of it was of guys who suck, and weren't contributors.
  14. He is the worst. He ruined our lines.
  15. Maybe I have been drinking too much. But it just kills me to see this. I love this program and want players to have fun again. I envy my dad who can recall all the glory and I poured so much of my life into this program like the rest of you. I am physically detached from the state but it has always felt like an extended family and simply a source of passion in life where passion is hard to come by. I love Nebraska and today, for the first time, I turned the tv off and felt bothered. When I see a true freshman looking like a world beater, I know it’s about us and not them. This cannot be the fate of this program. We care too damn much. I just can’t believe we are here. I just can’t believe it.
  16. Time will reveal it. Either way, that performance was horrid. Our team gave up and I don’t understand how anyone can live like that.
  17. I am so pissed off still. I would kick so many players off the team. I would fire the line coaches immediately, and possibly Fisher too. You can tell that not only did players quit but so have some of the coaches, and they did well before this game. There was no pride being shown or used in this game. That OU team is not that good, and it makes it even more embarrassing to witness it. This season is a waste of time. I will not watch another game until next year. I see them losing out, and I just cannot waste that time anymore. I feel bad for Mickey. He has a complete dumsterfire on his hands. The streak should officially end. I don't care anymore. I trust Trev, but this product is agonizing. This is so pathetic to watch. These players have had their athletic careers ruined by being instructed and led by horrible coaches throughout the years. Scott should be damned for what he did to this program. On national effing television, a QB runs for a touchdown to tie the game, and the Nebraska Cornhuskers wilt right then and there, with three quarters left to play. These players can go with the coaches, and it pains me to say that because I am always pro players. But they wanted to leave after that score and I just can't wrap my head around it. This program is filled with soft and idiotic people working within its walls.
  18. These players have no pride. They are mentally soft and I have never seen it like this before. There are FCS programs who wouldn't allow this kind of play. The fact that they play this way knowing they are on tape, and on a national stage is pathetic. Right now, this is on the players.
