  1. Very puzzled about your defense. It seemed to work great in the Big12 which is indisputably better at offense than the b1g. Maybe you need to be more aggressive against run based offenses.
  2. Calm down Huskers. You might need a Weardown Thread for when anOSU's D collapses in the 4th quarter.
  3. NM. ND ran a play with .07 left in the half, got out of bounds with one second left for a 34 yard FG attempt. it's . . . WIDE RIGHT Dang it we should be up by 20

  5. Since none of you can watch the game, here is what you aren't missing. - ND Qb benched for violating team rules (probably late for meeting). Back in after one half a series that was extended due to roughing the punter as Tom Rees is bad. - dahU's WR Dorsett has dropped about 175 yards and 2 TDs. ND's secondary is hopeless. - Nd's offense is based on 3 yard runs, 8 yard passes, and Miami penalties. However, Miami commits PI and holding a lot, and they aren't calling all of them. - We've settled for fgs on 4th and short. 13-3.
  6. I hope its the day Columbus coaches get torched after their 4th quarter collapse. Patience Huskers.
  7. I 'missed' the game, being on west coast time, but it doesn not sound good. I think I can guess what happened. The achilles heel of Weis was that he only knew one way to win; Brady waiting on a tall WR who had been schemed into one on one with a short CB. If anything went wrong in the equation, Weis had only one answer, screen. On the other hand, that KSU coach seems to manufacture yards out of thin air.
  8. It's not 'breaking news' but it is always very hard to power run against anOSU. Their weakness is not in their linebackers, it's usually at the corners.
  9. It appears some of the violence against grannies has been toned down. The best story so far concerns tear gas thrown in a bar. No warning to clear out, just tear gas used indoors. The good news is the abuse will be mostly verbal, your RV will be safe as long as it doesn't venture into the student areas. The bad news is they are a vulgar bunch who won't lose their voices until halftime if at all. Leave the kids, bring the earplugs.
  10. Good thing they left! No one would have seen it if they had stayed.
  11. Im glad that I amuse you. I read this board on a regular basis. It's a lot easier to have discussions with people when they play poorly. My opinions of Bo and the direction of this program don't change from week to week. Im not going to come in here and bash Bo when we are beating lowly Idaho State 70-3....thats just pointless. When we play poorly on national tv, in primetime, game after game....and continue to make the same mistakes over and over....that's when I come to the board. I guess I think I can knock some sense into people around here. That's what this forum is for. You don't amuse me, you annoy me, there is a difference, please don't confuse the two. You also find it easier to get people to agree with your point-of-view after a close game or loss because you're working with raw emotions and knee jerk reactions. That way you can have your, "Ha, see I told you people!" moment. I know your opinions don't change from week-to-week, you make that obvious so there is no hiding that. Why won't you bash Bo when we are beating "lowly" Idaho State so badly? Can't you make your points about Bo whether we are winning or losing? Or do you need those "raw emotions" to try and prove your point? I could definitely make my points, regardless of who we are beating. I just chose not to. It's not worth my time or energy to argue every single week with people. People should know that the teams we are beating easily are inferior opponents. You were not supposed to beat Sparty [who beat the SEC's GA] or anOSU last year.
  12. Not at all. If you are making the trip you should already have tried on body armor and packed fake license plates.
  13. I think Sparty had 8 rushing yards in the 2nd half. There goes another quality win.
  14. We think they might win a rematch with Arkansas.
  15. PSU vr Pitt Pitt vr WVU some intra conference rivals got split up sporadically, Iowa-Wisc. Tennessee-Bama. Conferences play a major role in keeping rivals from playing ball.
  16. A month ago my signature was the toughest schedule on paper I've seen since 1989. Now we are out of undefeated teams as we didn't think to schedule Minny, Kansas State, and Louisiana Tech. But congratulations to the last of Ty Willingham's former players.
  17. I'm surprised Gardner doesn't transfer to the U of Arizona. He was recruited to run the spread option.
  18. I can't see it happening. When an outlier joins a conference it is often because they were in the middle somewhere in their old one. I'm thinking of USF in the Big East, BC in the ACC; they should have swapped. But I don't see the head honcho ever leaving and becoming an outlier in another conference. Penn State is a kinda sorta exception, we know how that turned out. Unless Texas goes independent they'll always want to be the boss of a group of school in the Southwest.
  19. They should go with USC or Texas every year. I would like to play Texas every year too hint, hint, Delany..... Pretty sure the Longhorns fans will shout down any talk of a texas-osu series after their treatment from the Buckeye faithful in 2005. But let's not give out spoilers for the Huskers next month.
  20. the regular series was ending or at least pausing soon. But I'm very sad to lose this September Tradition.
  21. This. And LSU was less than impressive against Auburn this weekend too. Right now Bama and Oregon, and to some extent FSU are the best looking teams period. And no conference seems to have more than 2 really good teams. Parity all around right now. FSU will choke as always. Now a PAC23 vs SEC title game is most likely.
