  1. To be completely blunt I think he is trying to say there is a correlation between the density of African Americans and the success of college programs in those areas. And lets be 100% honest, that those areas do have a larger number of great athletes then the areas of the map that are not as dense with African Americans. I don't think he is trying to be racist, but I can see where it totally came across that way. Programs in that area are more likely to keep those athletes, due to location to those athletes. We always harp on our 500 mile radius, well you can bet they are trying to do the same. Hell look at Miami back in the 80's and how they tried to win "The State of Miami". It's no different. Again Toe's map is showing that their is a correlation between the density of African Americans and the success of programs in those areas, and that if the map was flipped and the density of African Americans was much higher in the north than in the south then it's a reasonable assumption that the programs in the north would be winning more Championships then the teams in the south. Again I don't think he is trying to be racist, but instead just pointing out what he believes to be the reason for the south's success
  2. Yea I should of caught that... I’ve been a bit behind the eight ball all day
  3. I think USC is much more of a threat then ASU because of all of the family ties
  4. It will be interesting to see if they continue to trend downwards the next few years or if this year was the exception. They do have an absolute stud coming in at QB who appears to have the potential to be the first true game changer they've had since Russell Wilson
  5. Yea it is a complete wreck! But I thought I heard somewhere that KU is getting ready to dump a bunch of money into it and other football facilities, and they are going to do a massive upgrade
  6. I think a lot of this is probably due to former teammate Alex Barnes who is the RB for KSU who just declared for the draft. I think you would be right if Snyder was still there but with the change in the regime I think that gives us a good chance
  7. Ha ha yea sorry, they have a real good WR named Dylan and got the names crossed. Dylan is good, but not P5 FBS good.
  8. I know the head coach from Pittsburg High and they have produced some legit D1 kids the last few years in the Barnes rb at K-State and Trevor Kent who is now at northwestern. Coach Nickelson has said Dylan White is a legit D1 athlete and whoever passes on him will regret it. Much like people have on Barnes who will most likely be drafted this year
  9. I think that only applies if Miles refuses to go to a spread uptempo offense to match the rest of the conference. I dont think he will change, but who knows
  10. Childers is kind of a bluegrass country, here are a couple of his more popular songs
  11. Sounds like a kid that could end up at KU with Les Miles being there now
  12. I think he's our best receiver to date, but JB is quickly catching him
  13. @B.B. Hemingway I just noticed your profile pic is the cover of Tyler Childers, Purgatory album. I'm digging your taste in music!
  14. It's because they learned from a bunch of clueless fans to be clueless d-bags
  15. Jim Leavitt was a real possibility as he has it in his contract everywhere he goes that there will be no penalty if he leaves to be the HC at KSU. But when you ask what are they talking about, try living in the state surrounded by K-State fans, especially those under 35. They dont remember when KSU sucked before Snyder, and god forbid you say something bad about him. They are delusional and honestly believe KSU is a top tier program. I have said for years that Bill Snyder is the CFB equivalent of Marty Schottenhiemer, a great coach who played it way to conservative in big games, and that KSU is destined for mediocrity because they'll never find another Bill Snyder who will be able to consistently win at a high level like he did in the late 90's. Oh and they will totally ignore Snyder's poor recruiting because of his reputation to develop the kids he brought in. In all honesty I hope they suck forever, they are terrible fans and I have never been treated so poorly when I went there a few years back and watched T-Mart run all over them, they were down right despicable.
  16. I heard on TV this morning that Meyer has a cyst on his brain that he had drained once but it continues to grow. While I'm not an Urban fan, I wish the guy the best and hope that he can get it figured out. CFB is better when top tier coaches like Urban are actively coaching.
  17. I think a solid B. He did a great job of changing the culture, and idk if we realize how big of a job that has been. And lets not forget he could easily have an A, 5 of the games we lost were by by 5 or less points. We win those games, we finished ranked and probably start next year in the top 15. This guy and his staff have done a hell of a job, and we will see the benefits of it soon
  18. Most KU fans I know just want to be competitive and be in a bowl game more often than not. And they’d like to see the athletic department make an honest effort to treat football as a priority not just basketballs red headed stepchild
  19. I understand what your saying, but I think if a kid knows they won't play or will rarely if ever, then the level of competition and intensity in practice goes down and that is detrimental to the teams success. Kids have to believe that if they work hard, it will set them up for a real shot at playing time, or they will quit working as hard.
  20. I was pheasant hunting in North Central KS this weekend and an alum from KU told me that he was at an event and spoke with AD Long. According to this guy when he asked Long who they were looking at to be the next HC, Long looked him dead in the eye and said Les Miles will be the next HC at KU. Now this guy is a bit of a blow hard but if there is any truth to it then I would honestly say it is probably the best "big name/splash" hire that KU is capable of getting. BUT KU is a dumpster fire that I'm not sure anyone is going to be able to put out
  21. It sure would be nice if we could get those kids out of the KCMetro area, there is a lot of talent that is super close to Lincoln there
