that law actually made some sense...so of course it had to be allowed to die. now i am glad that guy didn't have a mini-gun last night. if i understand that rule a mini gun would be perfectly legal to own. can you imagine what he could have done if he could fire 3,000 rounds per minute?

if 1 warning shot doesn't scare them off the rest of your warning shots won't matter. and if you take 6 or 7 warning shots do you think your walls will protect your neighbors from random bullets flying around? even firing into the air those bullets still come back to earth at a lethal velocity.

fwiw....on the right wing radio talk shows today the thought was running that this was a planned attack by the liberals to get gun control back on stage. i am not making this s#!t up.

apparently there is a loophole in the law that allows people to buy a part that changes the semi auto to full auto. and what about the large clips? i asked earlier about that but didn't get any answer. a clip of 7 rounds is still deadly and too much when a crazy takes aim at innocent people...but what i heard sounded like a large clip or belt feed when i saw video of the attack last night. might have saved a few hundred people from being injured or killed if there was a smaller limit on how many can be loaded at a time.

you are fine with people owning military grade weapons...why not the other stuff? or could we maybe consider that maybe a sane limit on such weapons could be considered?

you are right. we need to give tanks, bombers, and missiles to our citizens to keep them well armed. heck...maybe even some nukes. we have the right to be fully armed dad gummit.

when quail hunting a 3 shot clip let's you shoot at more than 1 bird when you flush a covey of them. and that is only a semi auto. have to pull the trigger for each shot. full auto is nearly worthless when trying to hit just 1 target at a time. full auto is for repelling a mass charge of enemy soldiers....not for hunting.

what about the large capacity clips? if the clips only holds 5 shots the shooter spends a lot of time reloading rather than spraying 50 bullets at a time. maybe it at least holds the death toll down a little. that seems like a good thing to me but what do i know?

i don't know the answer....but aren't fully automatic weapons and large capacity clips already illegal? if so....i hope whoever sold those items to this guy can be traced down and punished. if they are not illegal....well....guess it's ok because we're murica!!!!

while driving this morning i had Rush on the radio. the talk was that this guy was a left wing operative wanting to bring gun control to the forefront and divert from trumps agenda. that evil left is to blame for this. and his callers were the people advocating that idea...not rush. but he didn't contradict them at all. he was eating that chit up.

at this time they are saying at least 50 dead and at least 400 injured. no idea what the motivation was yet

this morning in london they all took a knee before the anthem...then most stood for the anthem but some stayed on the knee.

3 reasons why he was not interested in helping 1. they are mostly not white 2. they can't vote 3. i doubt he even knew they were american citizens he had no reason to help them or try to garner any goodwill from helping them. only the backlash has him moving now IMO.

i was talking more about puerto rico and the american citizens there who are not getting the same help our citizens in texas and florida are getting. they may not be a state...but they are all american citizens. and the kneeling during the anthem had lost a lot of steam. steam that trump pumped back into the situation 100fold. while i don't agree with the way they are protesting...i do understand the why they were doing it and think they certainly have the right to protest in that manner. trump is just trying to sew more divisiveness out there and succeeding in that unfortunately.
