  1. Number 1 on the wish list for me. Something about him, Moore and Reeves locking down the left side of the line in a couple years has me giddy. That side of a line could even make Collins Okafor look like an Aaron Green.
  2. Russell Sheppard. That is how Jamal hopefully is used. While learning the nuances of the QB position, let him run nuts on defenses as a slot receiver/scat back. If the QB thing doesn't play out how he hopes, we'd have ourselves a playmaking freak that could line up anywhere. Oh the mismatches....even a Barney Cotton type OC wouldn't be able to screw that up.
  3. So....yer sayin there's a chance
  4. Never intended for it to become a "fight". Just trying to get you to elaborate on your theories more. I just stated my side of the opinion and wanted to get you to go deeper into yours. That is what good bantor is about. Like I said I'd be the first on board the Kinnie express when he dominates a "big game"
  5. You guys are INSAINE lmao kinnie by far is the best reciver lol He steps up in BIG GAMES ,paul has that off and on switch and you never knoe when hes gonna show up. And also kinnie has good ball skills you see how he handeled that ball against the huskies on that 55 yard catch that was a TD ? He still got my attention in the game against texas late in the game I say let teams double team him Mcneil and Kinnie will make big plays and they will hang on to the ball and keep drives going What "big games" has Kinnie stepped up for? Two catches vs Texas doesn't qualitfy in my books, and I need to smoke what you are if any of these three games this year were a "big game." I love Kinnie but do it against a real secondary and a defense that plays tackle football no two hand touch and I'll be the first person on that boat. PS Thank god Kinnie has huge hands, because he holds the ball like a loaf of bread when he is running. what ever dude Wow, facepalmed for asking for legit answers. Good theories for backing your arguement
  6. His ass or 10 year old viagra. My best bet is that it will probably be something in a liquid form.

  8. he had a couple mental lapses but he carried our offense for the most part of the season. He never had a problem after iowa state game, he'll do very well next year Except for scoring touchdowns........ That wasn't cause of a mental lapse, remember when he was running down the field with the ku defender on his back, yeah that was awesome. Or the punt return against Colorado. Yes Paul does make some terrific plays, but that five* game stretch he had with zero TD receptions still concerns me. If NU wants to better their 101st place passing game ranking from 09 then they will need improved play from the entire WR crew, not just Paul. Because IMO there's simply no way that he'll be able to carry the load on his own. * Edit- wrong number of games QB play is as much to blame for that as Paul. Not to mention playcalling, we went pretty conservative towards the end of the season, content to win with defense and a solid running game. 20, 14, 19, 21, 14 pass attempts in the games before Arizona. It's probably not a stretch to say that most of those came in obvious passing downs as well. This hit the nail on the head. Lee's injury hampered a lot of what the offense could do with stretching the field. Remeber if Lee would have led Niles on three of those passes against Kansas he would have three scores. Niles was 3 or 4 steps behind their secondary. He even had the Whorns burnt on one of the weakly attempted deep balls in the title game. Also Will Henery will never play a significant role this year, HOWEVER LaTravis Washington gets him in the endzone this week!!!! There's a bold prediction for ya'll

  10. I am thinking that Mike's reaction in the Idaho game was more to the fact that the coaches put in that play to specifically try to get him more involved in the offense and the pass was just missed. Me thinks Mike was hoping the move to the adjuster receiver would bring more opportunities to catch the ball in the passing game, and that hasn't really taken off yet. Also if you could have strolled into the endzone untouched from about 60 yards out wouldn't you be a little frustrated that a prime chance had been missed.
  11. Just think of the Pacific game in '94. That was so bad their coach asked the refs at half if they could consider not playing the second half or something to that extent(he was joking). That is how this game SHOULD play out. Let the number 1s get their series(remember we have a long wait until KSU so I could actually see a one or two series more than usual in a game like this. However, there should be no starters sniffing the field with 9 minutes left in the third. Oh yeah we could do without any blood clots occurring in the aftermath as well
  12. Few observations on the topic and above posts. 1. It was Ricky that got beat on the Kearse TD. He was up with the LBs after biting on the run fake hard. There were a couple of other times throughout the fame where you can see Ricky storming the line on a run fake only to slam on the brakes, hitting the oh $hit button, and sprinting back to get deep on pass support. That was what we observed while watching the game but NONE of us actually know who had what responsibilities so all we can do is speculate. 2. The defense will be A LOT better against the run when Compton gets back. The communication among the shirts will improve 10 fold and his experience will help the total package get better. Much props to David and Martin trying for the crash course and learning on the fly, but Will should shore up a lot of the issues. 3. However, going off of point 2, the way for a team to beat us now and in the future in my eyes is to have a plan of power running and stick to it. Any team that thinks they can sit back and try to pass or run laterally against the shirts is nuts. What Bo can do with a dime defense pressure wise is amazing. Thus a team that can have some committed success running up the gut that loosens our secondary up is probably our biggest threat. K-State actually fits the mold of point 3, but I will take their QB trying throw all day, not a threat. Big old #8 is though, but he will needs more help than the stadium full of yokels trying to get one last word in before the ships sails east.
  13. Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't Will's foot injury the same as Rex's last year? If is the case Rex was back after five weeks. That would put an outside chance of the Texas game, even the KSU game, but I wouldn't risk that. I know that bones heal differently and a lot depends on the type and location of the break. So hopefully it is a similar situation as Burkhead's and he can be back feeling 100% by the time the Whorns come to town. David and Martin have been admirible up to now but me thinks the Shirts need Will on the second level for the conference run.
  14. Seriously starting to get a little strange with these updates. I believe the appropriate word was used about two posts above. How about we let the team start to lock in and focus on their sole purpose for even being in Seattle and that is to kick a little ass.
  15. Mark May knows college football like I know quantom physics or eastern European tapestry. The guy is the biggest douche out there. He likes who ever is the flavor of the month, USC, Tim Tebone, Texas, Bama, you name them he likes them. Plus the guy is still butt hurt that his mighty Panthers put up a whopping 23 points in two games against some of our worst teams in recent history and lost and had to eat large helpings of crow in front of Trev. So because of Mark May
  16. Neer underestimate the Zooker. He is much like slick Rick and could sell a corpse to a brothel. He has been on his way out for what the last 5 of 6 years? He always gets kids that he should in no way justify receiving. And as it was mentioned by papio obviously Aiken is interested if Evans said they are in his top couple of choices. I don't think any harm is in this visit but you never know. Buckeye fans probably never imagined Cash lookin around and look where that has gotten us... a little hope. Again who here can read a high schoolers mind? Please let me know if you can cause I will need that knowledge in about 12 years.
  17. This is getting to be a common occurance for Mr. Johnson. Given he is still in high school and we know how much their minds can be locked in to certain decisions. However, as epocSoN said it may just be a flavor of the month thing. I believe David Oku or Jarvis who ended up at South Carolina were pretty much the same way(pretty sure it was Oku) after every visit, that school became the shiznit. Man UCLA is in the drivers seat.
  18. This is what honestly excites me about Aaron versus the Malcom Browns and who nots of the world. His versatility out of the backfield totally seperates him from the other high profile recruits. A lot of time he actually splits out to receiver and in the slot for Madison. Aaron vs. a LB or safety in the open field......I like the odds.
  19. True, but we were saying the same thing about a one Will Henry. Hey now give Will a chance! He's got one more year to show what he can do. Look for him to nab a TD with 4 mins left in the 4th quarter against SDSU on a nice fade route thrown by Cody Green to run the score up to 84-0. Hell if I gotta wait that long in that game, then I want Ron Kellogg throwing the pass.
  20. Don't these clowns have some kind of STRENGTH poster of them flexing in the weightroom that we can make fun of this week. The Vandal poster was epic!!!!
  21. EZ-E, ya know I have your back and see eye to eye on a lot of stuff with ya, but the power of beautiful weather and members of the opposite sex barely wearing anything over their "ASSets" and what nots is a powerful force. The Noles just recently became a stronger player in Aaron's recruitment and it is a little curious of to why. Obviously there is some serious interest on Aaron's part. Here's hoping your right(which is a reoccurring thought by most of us) and if all else fails that some kind of torrential down pour or freak blizzard hits Tallahassee this weekend. Damn I hate Florida.
  22. True, but we were saying the same thing about a one Will Henry.
  23. As I was once told when salivating over the possibilities of our future secondary, DREAM BIG. Add Jeremy Cash to that list. If he is visiting after already being committed to OSU, the chance is there that he is really questioning that decision. A great atmosphere and a solid performace(which leads to a win hopefully) and I think he jumps ship from the Buckeyes.
  24. Screw paying the $40 for a PPV game that you don't know if it will be in HI DEF or if you will even get the game at all. Take that $40 and put it towards a ticket to the game if ya can, because there are NO decent games that day throughout the nation. I mean it is bad
