Welcome to Huskerboard! TO had some pretty solid offenses with QB's like Mickey Joseph and Mike Grant. Scott Frost looked great his first year too.

Teams shouldn't even play. We should play about four weeks and then use computers to determine the national champion.

Neither of those definitions have anything to do with an incident or an accident.Is he being credited for something he did not do? Did he cheat people out of anything? Just because he "looks" like a nice guy in commercials, and isn't nice and hurts your feelings, doesn't mean he is a "fraud" I appreciate your acknowledgement of my feelings being hurt. He has tried to push himself as this great guy. He has gone to Goddell and said that he is a good person and he is being treated unfairly. He has taken on the role of ambassador, spokesperson and also victim. To several others....I don't think anyone is trying to compare him to Thunder or LP. That is ridiculous.

Why isn't 'Fraud' the word? I wonder if his 'I'm a good guy' routine he has had to go through multiple times is nothing more than an act. It has obviously cost him endorsements. Remember how much he was on TV after the draft? Have you seen him in a commercial/ad at all recently?

Martinez is a part of the problem. He is not the problem and he is no where near bad enough to pull him. He will be the starter for the next year and half so you should just get use to it.

I was actually looking more at '14 being our year. We are seeing the effects of Bo's first 2 recruiting classes. It will get better though. I agree with this 100%. I think Bo was learning with the recruiting and it going to have to cycle out. We are still 1-2 years away in my opinion. No offense, but what exactly has he learned? Our recruiting classes still barely crack the Top 25, yet we wonder why our performance on the field is subpar. Until we get some great recruiters here, nothing is going to change. Sad but true. We still don't have a QB. We lack the athletic ability to control the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. Defense lacks speed/athleticism at LB and DL. We are stacked at WR,RB and DB (I know some disagree). I also think he has shown loyalty to some that he has brought in which I don't think works in his favor. I have to believe he knows he is bringing in the wrong 'Big Uglies'. I would hope that he now realizes that he needs a different style LB that Fish or Compton. He is a first time head coach that has changed conferences and gone through coordinators on both sides of the ball.

Is anyone ever going get tired of calling out Beck when the team gets beat by fumbles, picks, penalties a qb that is inconsistent and a poor defense?

Offense - We will always be unpredictable with Martinez as QB. He has games where he plays lights out and he has games where he is a liability. At the beginning of the year I thought the liability games were behind him. He can't consistently distribute the ball and this will be a battle for the next year and a half. So many want to call out Beck's play calling. The key to stopping Taylor hasn't changed in 2.5 years. I like Taylor's heart, but his inability to make the play when it needs to be done doesn't allow the team to loosen up the defense. I love Rex to death but Ameer needs to be on the field. I have no idea how many touches Turner had, but I know it wasn't enough. I know the defense got gashed a few times, but the turnovers are what lost the game. Not only did they put points on the board, they killed the field position which was going very well in the beginning (except T-Mart's TD pass to OSU). I think we are one player away on offense. Defense I still have no idea what we are trying to do. It appears to me that when we blitz we can atleast get the QB to move around. I thought we kind of got away from that and I don't really understand why. I think the secondary is solid, but the we don't control the line of scrimmage and we are slow at LB. Did I say that I have no idea what the defense is trying to do? Special Teams What the hell is wrong with our kick off return team? Countless times this year first contact is happening at the 10 yard line?? It seems to be a recurring theme. I don't see it happening to anyone else. Ameer likes to fair catch when there is no one in the same zip code. I will take that over a fumble anyday, but the dude is electric on punt return.

He played with all the talent he has, can't ask for more than that, but your right he did do what he was supposed to do, just like the rest of the team. So no need in giving props to any of them, right... GBR!!! He was a part of big plays. He didn't make big plays happen. There is a difference.

Tim Beck doesn't fumble. Tim Beck doesn't run into the punter. Tim Beck doesn't miss field goals. Tim Beck doesn't over/underthrow wide open receivers. Tim Beck changes to the a more pass based offense when they are giving it to us. I saw a potential Tim Beck melt down thread coming when the team had so many mistakes. Edit: I still think the defense looks confused. I fear too many will buy into this defensive performance.

There is nothing to eat crow about. He made routine plays that he is supposed to make....big deal. He's still a liability.
