It's amazing to me that these 'super die hard fans' are reacting this way. It's like Pelini &Tom Osborne, who some regard as one of the most ethical men in all of college athletics, came into their house, kicked them in the sack and stole $10 from them. completely agree. If there is a 'sky is falling mentallity' with the weather and significant weather problems expected, do you really want to put your entire program in a sardine can? I am more dissapointed with the recruiting aspect (a spring game with 60K has been a selling point for some)....everyone else wants 10 freaking dollars. I think it was the correct call.

I don't know if the rules are same as when I was in college, or this even is a factor in this, but you only have a certain window to complete all your practices. I remember when I was in college the day after we started spring ball we were hit by a huge snow storm. We petitioned the NCAA for an extra week to complete our practices and lost. We practiced in basketball arena at 5AM for a week.....it sucked.

As right as you may be, I don't think we have a choice. This is marketing that needs to be done to keep pace with what is going on in college football. I have no doubt that the uniforms change ups help recruiting. I just hope Tom picks a game against a cupcake because I have no doubt the 'traditionalists' will try to connect on field play with the fact their helmets look like corncobs...or whatever.
