  1. That we shouldn't recruit Caucasian athletes? Racist.... Hopefully there's no need to insert the sarcasm emoticon here. This is ridiculous and I really have no idea why I'm responding to it. There must be no such thing as a white guy that is physically fit. Hasn't Rex been lifter of the year twice? Even O'Hanlon was pretty cut up. The guy is carrying too much weight plain and simple. Especially to be playing defensive back at this level.
  2. How many years will take before everyone isn't measured to T.O.? Give me a break.
  3. Dennard they type of athlete we should be going after. Cassidy....random dude mowing his yard on a Sunday afternoon. I think this picture says a lot.
  4. I think the 4 paragraphs about being a first time coach are what we all seem to forget. I am concerned about the inconsistency of play, self inflicted wounds, mismanagement of freshmen and the lack of depth on defense, but I think I am more optimistic now then I have ever been. I believe that Pelini is extremely stubborn, but may be starting to learn from his mistakes. It's a growth process and I'm hopeful he is getting there.
  5. He started the year slow, but he has really started playing well. I wish we could get more out on the field that need some playing time.
  6. Count me with you. People complain about too many passes. Not enough passes. More diamond formation. Less option to the short side of the field. More Martinez running. Stop throwing passes to receivers that don't catch. I like what Beck is doing.
  7. As a Badger fan, I am pretty sure that you have not followed SUH's career while at NU. Folks are not defending him so much as finding it hard to believe that he is doing this. While at NU, I never remember this type of play nor heard anything from other teams about "dirty play". As a die hard fan, I am disappointed in him. He needs to clean up his act or his career and rep will be short lived. I would not be surprised to see O lineman trying to extract a little "justice" in the future. This is what I always get a kick out of. How some Husker fans have decided what memories of Suh they want to have. There were a lot of instances, mostly during the BC era, where he was completely out of control. In his first two years he accounted for a number of 'Unsportsmanlike Conduct' or 'Personal Foul' penalties. They were bonehead/stupid plays. I would say that before Pelini took his game to the next level, he was more a liability than an asset.
  8. Occupy protests cost U.S. cities at least $13M http://www.usatoday.com/news/nation/story/2011-11-23/occupy-cities-cost/51365474/1
  9. No, he was just embarassed he dropped that snap that was right in his chest. He thought Bo would go a little easier on him if he "got hurt". Maher, who made it off the field (I think...could be wrong) was nothing short of a 'I screwed up and now I'm hurt flop'. You most often see it when a receiver or DB drops a pass and they hop up holding a hammy. I do think Bo has a lot more important things to worry about than this. It hurt the effort, but it didn't lose the game.
  10. Didn't Suh flop because someone else was hurt and couldn't get off the field fast enough? Yes. Dennard was badly injured and a little dazed, and he wasn't leaving the field despite half the defense telling him to get off. Suh did fake an injury. It's quite a different story with the Michigan/Michigan State injuries. Nobody was faking an injury in order to help out a legitimately injured teammate. Kovacs was smiling on the ground as the trainers came up to him. #5 for Michigan State got "injured" four or five times against us. The intent of the Michigan/Michigan State injuries was to slow down the game. The intent of Suh's injury was to help an injured teammate. I didn't see him smiling, but he definitely flopped when he realized how out of position nearly everyone on the defense was. I'm not much for conspiracy theories, but this was pretty ridiculous. I had to explain to my 10 year old why I was yelling at the TV.
  11. He probably won't get any snaps this weekend now. Oh wait........
  12. I have no idea where these kids are, but they are well coached. You can tell. Those little dudes are constantly looking for someone to block.
  13. I'll take it a step further.....What is actual journalism? Can anyone find a negative Obama story on MSNBC? MSNBC, owned by GE, that doesn't pay taxes, run by Obama's Job Czar. It all makes sense. http://www.varight.c...a-than-foxnews/ Did you even watch the video for the article that you posted? What is shocking about it? For article that carries the subject 'MSNBC more Negative towards Obama than FoxNews', I would think they would post a video that actually has something negative. You posted a few threads up that you agreed that you like facts in your news. Can you interpret any of the following quotes for me? What the hell does that mean? What's negative? What's positive? Who decides? If that video is the example of a negative story they want to go with, this is all pretty lame. You just used a glorified Blog post. If you look at one of the varight.com links at the bottom, it is the #1 blog in Virginia. Well done. I was thinking more Rick Santelli on CNBC from a few years back. I'm surprised he didn't get fired. That was negative. I really should be fair. Using a blog is a step up from what you guys typically have.......Daily Show and South Park clips.
  14. Imagine that, it's near impossible to find a video of what lead up to incident. Here's one that shows about two and a half minutes of footage prior to what everyone else has seen. I wish there was another two minutes because I bet this would be even less of a story. 0:01 - Officer politely asks asks jobless student with 100K in student loans and Art History Degree to move. 0:07 - Jobless student with 100K in student loans and Art History Degree says 'You're shooting me for sitting here...Just making sure. That's fine.' 0:28 - A member of the group says 'Put your faces down' and they all follow. 0:48 - Officer gets out pepper spray 1:06 - Girl operating camera shouts to group 'Keep your eyes closed' 1:09 - Protester comes in and says 'All you guys might want to back of the walk' 1:12 - Repeats himself 1:21 - Camera girl again yells 'Close your eyes' 1:25 - She then starts ranting 'Protect Yourself' 1:41 - Members of the crowd start calling for a friend 'Alee' to get off the walk 2:12 - Officer reaches down and tries to remove a protestor by pulling on her. Didn't budge. 2:27 - Spraying starts and this is where nearly all the video on the internet start. *****My favorite part.if you can stomach to go any further is when they become poor children in the eyes of the camera operator. This is a big joke to these protestors. They think they are untouchable and don't have to follow any rules. They were asked to move, they didn't and paid a real small price for it. Their attempts at their protestor merit badge failed miserably. Go ahead and try to turn this into Tiananmen Square. I think everyone has done a pretty solid job of it so far. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4tsoIxAmT1M

  16. I don't think it is a personal attack. I would characterize it as 'Belittling' your argument. It's a pretty common tactic in this forum. The best at it is matthew_mg with calling everything he doesn't agree with derp. You don't have to propose a solution or refute a claim, just tell the other how dumb they are.
  17. It's interesting to me that conservatives are OK with booing the first lady when she is at an event supporting US veterans. I guess GOP love for the military is boundless . . . unless they see another opportunity to attack the Obamas. (fyi, I saw W. speak in person. Somehow I refrained from booing him.) Also . . . you cited a WND column. I assume that you know better. WND makes the NYPost, Fox, and HuffPo look sane and reasonable. It sounds like crowd was very supportive of the wounded veteran and the cause. I cited from all angles, I know better than that. I'm glad to hear that you didn't boo W. I'm going to go out on the limb and say there are people that feel the same way that you do that have booed him. I will also reach out there an say that it is unlikely that every person at this event booed Obama. When I saw the headline to this story, I was expecting a lot worse. I had to turn the volume up to be honest with you.
  18. Is it really that surprising? Probably more of a Tea Party type crowd....Just booing. Luckily it wasn't an OWS crowd.....They probably would have hurled handfuls of crap, molotov cocktails and rocks. You know, that no violent movement. http://www.huffingto...f_n_659527.html http://www.nypost.co...nduHGc6WxbTv5VM http://www.wnd.com/?pageId=337833 http://www.politico....1011/65558.html http://www.huffingto...e_n_463380.html
  19. Is there any truth to this? I've haven't read it anywhere, but I have heard multiple people commenting on this.
  20. The one thing I have started to see that concerns me is how he seems to work himself toward the pressure in the pass rush. Even in some of his runs it almost looks like he is missing some 'vision' of the field.
  21. David first arrived on campus July 2010. Lavonte David was thrown into the fire because Compton got hurt. How would you have any idea about David's intelligence?
